Thanks for that very detailed review!!!! This is the first time that I've reviewed a product and all my questions were answered!!!!
Wow. Incredibly detailed review with clear facts. Thanks. I just got mine. Over the past week, I found that pre-spraying with foam bleach in areas on kitchen floor prior to vacuum helps. I also use heated near boil water splashes on the floor prior to vacuum. Each addition simply speeds up the cleanup.
What a great review! This is exactly the kind of video i was searching for. THANK YOU!
Thank you for taking the time and energy to do this video. I found it to be very helpful.
Thank you! I am so glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for your review and showing us how does this product works. I bought this from Costco yesterday and I followed your instructions. 👍🙏👍.
Thanks for this review I have mine in a box now I'm excited to use it
FYI you don't have to buy the Bissell cleaning formula, you can use water with cleaning vinegar, I use water with Pine Sol.
Great idea! I have lots of Pine Sol I was wondering what to do with lol!
I think that would devoid ur warranty using other solutions but it does make financial sense i too would do that too. No way could i afford buying there cleaning solutions all the time.
Chrispixx Herr do you vacuum ( not using water) your carpets with that too or you use a separate vacuum for the carpet.
I actually use my Crosswave solely for hard floors. I use my Dyson stick vacuum for carpets 😊
@@kateschwanke I think Ash Qr is right, vaccuming the carpets first without using the liquid solution would avoid most of the dust to stick into the fibers, then with the mop function, all of this with the CrossWave!
Thank you for this honest video I brought one of these and I'm super excited to use it I have a lot of grandkids that visits and completely dirty all my floors so I'm putting a lot of hope in this multi vac
I hope it works well for you! Mine is still going strong, I love it!
I just got mine. Can’t wait to try
Thank you for making this video! I'm watching this on 3/14/20 and you made my mind up! I have whole-house hardwood floors and with the help of your video, I know what I'll be buying tomorrow!
You are so welcome!
I have the crosswave Cordless. Love it!
Cordless sounds AMAZING!! I am still obsessed with this vacuum, but cord free would be even better. How long does the battery last?
Thanks for this bought myself one
Nice review, I would like to have seen some dirty footprints on the tiles for it to clean. I reckon I would buy some little earplugs to use this. Still not sure if I will get one.
Thanks for reviewing the cross wave. I just got mine and can’t wait to give it a try.
I hope you love it! Mine has been amazing 🙌🏻
I hope you love it! Mine has been amazing 🙌🏻
Thanks so much for sharing was looking at this today
Bless you, your husband and your 3 boys. Thanks so much for the review. I just received the product today and can't wait to test it out!
Thank you! I am sure you will love it!
it was very informative, thank you for the video!
Thank you for the feedback! So glad it was a helpful video for you 💕
Lovely review! Just got the cordless version as a housewarming gift and I used it for the first time tonight. This is going to be a game changer since our new house is all hard floor besides 1 area rug we have. I do have to say though, one con is that I definitely have to sweep first before using this. It may sound like a no brainer but i wanted to try without sweeping first just to see how it did. Because of the water/solution, hair got gunked up between the brush and the dirty tank (theres a little hole/tunnel between them and i had to sweep my finger in there to get it all out). But i was pleasantly surprised that the hair didnt wrap itself around the brush! The cordless one comes with a charging station that has a cleaning area you pour some water in while doing the clean cycle and it will clean the brush. One other con i have is that it didnt clean the floor evenly all the time, but i think that is due to our floors not being completely level...so i would notice that there would be a strip or two of the area i went over that was completely dry, while the rest was wet...so the brush isnt always touching down on the floor in some of the uneven spots. But overall, this will be so much better than mopping!! Floors dried so quickly and were left clean and shiny!
Hi Kate,
Great review yes I found it loud also but like how it picked up the dirt.
It does a great job! Now that I know what to expect, noise-wise, I’m used to it lol!
kateschwanke sounds perfect 👌
Good review! Thank you
Thank you!
Hey, Kate, weez guys really enjoyed review of the Bissell Cross. I’m hot to load up Amazon and order one. Thumb up.
I just got one, can't wait to use. 😇
You will love it!
After watching this video after watching your cleaning video of your floors day- I went out and bought the Bissell crosswave pet pro and OMG talk about time saving! And it picked up way more than my steam mop and my mop
That’s awesome! It’s a total game changer 🙌🏻 I’m so glad you love it!
How’s it going now ?
Kate, thanks so much for your complete and detailed review on this vacuum/mop...I liked knowing the length of the cord and weight, and just how noisy it is! I have a Dyson Stick which I love, and a Bissell Steamer cleaner which I use on my tile (I also have a easily dirtied tile kitchen floor), and also a lot of hardwood floors which unfortunately rarely get washed 😬☺️. My rug shampoo machine broke after ONE use so I am looking for something like this to replace it! I like how you went slow enough (about the speed I would) and showed exactly how much dirt this removed...think I’m gonna get it- good review ☺️💕🏡
Thank you so much for your feedback and taking the time to let me know! I appreciate it and I am so glad you enjoyed my review 💗
I am curious. We live in an RV full time and I cannot decide if I need the Bissell Steamer mop AND this wet/dry vac. The only carpet we have is a large throw rug and the small section in the bedroom but it could really use the cleaning, but we have a lack of storage space. Would you suggest having both? I think the steamer would be the way to go for the bathroom for sure since it is a small space.
👍👍👍👍just ordered one!!
i use carpet setting on tile, more water gets the grooves. i love my crosswave
Finally a video that isn't sponsored from bissel and really informative. Thank you. I need one now.
You’re welcome! I have really loved using this vacuum
I bought one but I don't know if this video is representative. What disturbs me the most is the clear grey water coming out of the tank and her saying that her hair doesn't tangle up on the brush. When I have to clean the tank it's full of hair and dust and the hair does stay on the brush quite a bit.
I have had hair come into the tank (cat hair), but I always vacuum with my Dyson prior to mopping with it. That makes a big difference!
@@kateschwanke but what's the point of this product then? One would think it's a vacuum cleaner first, then a mopping alternative and then a carpet cleaning solution?
Everyone has their own way they like to do things 😊 I have used it every way possible, but I prefer it best as a mop!
Thanks for the review. I've been laid up for several months now and can finally do some of the house work. Trying to sweep and then mop the floors was very difficult so it doesn't get done very often. This I'm hoping will make it easier for me.
I’m glad to hear your feeling better! I have a bad back myself, so I can honestly say this vacuum has made mopping SO MUCH EASIER! I used to hate mopping, but this wet vac has been a total game changer
Thinking of getting one! 1) How does it pick up hair/long hair on flat surfaces? Also, 2) does the hair get caught around roller brush? Tks!
Hi there! It picks up hair just fine! It doesn’t get wrapped around the roller brush, but more like on the edges of the brush bar, if you know what I mean? With regular cleaning of the machine, it’s easy to keep up with it though. Hope that helps!
Just ordered one of these from Costco after my Hoover carpet cleaner gave out on me. Thanks for the great video.
I have a Hoover carpet cleaner. Only used it 3 times and it was squirting foamy water up my walls, all over my couches and my furniture! I am NOT impressed!!
Ken Belmont I have owned mine for about a year but only used it maybe half a dozen times as well. Won’t purchase a Hoover again.
@@msmellowmood84 Got it. I wouldn't purchase a Hoover again either. I don't blame you for that!
How much time do you need to clean a 150-square-meter house with sweeping and mopping? How long does it take to recharge?please can you answer my questions 😍😍
This was extremely helpful! Thank you!
My first baby was the Hoover mop and vac I had gotten for Christmas but I want to get the Bissell for my birthday coming up September
will this work on low pile carpet as just a vacuum? I wont be putting in all hard floors for a few years and wanted to know if this crosswave will work for me now on a home that has 80% carpet.
Great review, we just got one. thanks .
How’s its working now?
It works amazing! I love it
@@silpadas7070 still love it and does a great job, we don't have to use it all that often.
@@BENZ007 oh . What do you use for mopping floors then ?
I'm somehow wondering, do I need to use the Bissell cleaning formula, or is it okay too if I use other types of cleaning solution?
If you want to keep the vacuum under warranty, you need to use the formula made for it. If you don’t worry about the warranty, you can definitely use your own solution! Just make sure it’s not too much solution you’re adding in with the water. Too much solution can make LOTS of bubbles lol
Thank you Dear.
Do you use hot water for the water & cleaning solution? I would think that would definately help with gunky stuff.
Pyretta Blaze yes, I do! It does help to remove some of the stickier stuff 😊
This would definitely be a good product for the Los Angeles County's Registrar Recorder County Clerk, especially for their Operation Centers.
Doing research for my daughter who has a Black Labrador that treks dirt into the house, the two machines so far is the Bissell and the Karcher, noise seems to be the BIG complaint, personally I would don Blutooth head phones and listen to music, good review thank you, by the Your surname my house builder in Tasmania was Schwanke, just thought you might tike to know.
That’s very interesting about the builder with the same last name! The Bissell Crosswave works fabulously on mud and dirt. I have three little boys who are forever tracking in messes from the backyard and it cleans it all up
Are you still happy with it now? Also I would be interested to know how does it clean the grout? My house is all textured tile and I absolutely hate cleaning it because I have to literally scrub on my knees.
Oh yes, this vacuum is an absolute must have! It cleans the surface of the grout, but it will not deep clean them. I’m actually in the process of cleaning all of my grout right now using baking soda, vinegar, and this awesome new grout cleaning tool I bought! I’ll link it for you because I think it is also a definite must have: amzn.to/2PvkTqp
How long did the floors stay wet? Was it a quick dry?
They dry really quickly with the Crosswave! One of the ways you can dry it faster is to use the vacuum feature on its own after you’re done with a space and it makes it dry a lot faster 😊
I have a question. Can you leave the system ready to go with cleaning solution ready to go for wet spills on the floor? With 3 kids, it happens often.
Yes! I do it all the time! I do prefer using hot water when I do floors because things come up faster/easier, but I often keep the cold, leftover solution I didn’t use in the tank for the next time I need it 😊
I'm thinking of ordering the model you have. How's the Bissell crosswave model you have. Do you still enjoy the crosswave and is it still going strong?
Yes, I love it! I use it all the time and it’s been working wonderfully!
Has someone diluted water with dettol? Do you think it will be a problem ?
Hello! Thanks for the comprehensive review! To clarify: How "straight" does it bend? Can you use it to vacuum everything under the bed if you lay down? While the vacuum seems great, I'm worried that I could not use it under the bed or sofa sofa in a small apartment where moving the furniture is not an viable option.
Hi there! This vacuum does not go very flat, unfortunately. I’d say the lowest it can go is about a 30 degree angle from the floor to the handle. So not ideal for cleaning far under furniture. Hope that helps!
This is the exact issue that I experienced with my bissell vacuum. I simply could not get under the sofa! I had to lift it with one hand and vacuum with the other to really get in there if you know what i mean.
I just got it... Way better than corded one
Could you tell me what model this is? I just order the 2304p was wondering if this was the exact same one. 😊
Hi! I just checked and mine is the 17859 model.
Thanks for review and what's your opinion after theses time plz
Hi! I still LOVE this vacuum. I use it quite often, and it’s been wonderful!
I forgot to put the filter and used my bissell on carpet for about 10 minutes. Is it ok to use it further or i should contact the service? Any ideas?
Wow ur floors didnt look dirty to start with but it oviousley done a good job. How does using the same brush work on floor then carpet i find that strange? Also it doesnt dry that quivk so i would worry about it leaving rugs damp n musty?
Using the same brush bar for both isn’t optimal, they do sell a rug brush separately though! I would think that would work pretty well. I haven’t used the CrossWave on carpet/rugs since this video, but it has performed amazing on my hardwood and tile! I love it!
kateschwanke s
So can go straight to carpet and vacuum after cleaning wet hard floor?
This is some awesome review as i was confused to buy this for wet vacuum but now my mind is clear.
I would be happy if u answer two of my questions!
One instead of mixing washing liquid inside the container why dont u just spread it on the floor amd let the water does the job. Is that possible?
Secondly if a carpet gets soaked up in water like after rain or sth. Can it help to dry it off?
Hi there! I mean, you could do it that way, but I'm not sure why you would want to. Part of the purpose of this vacuum is for it to do the hard work for you. I would definitely choose to use the vacuum as intended instead of spraying the floor by hand first. Also, yes! I do think you would be able to use this vacuum to soak up excess water on an outdoor rug if you needed to!
@@kateschwanke Thanks a lot dear.
One more thing is it good for just dry vacuuming.
On hard floors, yes!
Awesome review
Thank you !
Do you have to always use the wet mop function all the time? Or can it be used as a vacuum only? Thank you
Hi! No, you can use it as a regular vacuum too. I do it all the time and it works great 😊
@@kateschwanke Hi, could you describe how?
Yep! You just don’t push the wet button on the handle. I tend to use mine just on tile and hardwood, and then I use my Dyson on the carpet.
Did it help? I have 3 boys and a dog
Do you have to hold the button constantly while mopping, or?
Yes, if you want the water to run you have to hold the button down the whole time.
Does it only release water if u press the button or will it always release the water I want to vacuum the carpets and then clean the floors with water.
You have to push the button on the handle for it to release water. Otherwise it can work like a normal vacuum, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for using on carpets. I prefer using my Dyson stick vacuum for that 😊
Thanks.
@@loveyourlife2661 That's indeed the way to clean a carpet, first dry vacuum it and only then optionally mop it.
I work in EVS. I use a machine and mop. I understand what a machine can do compared to moping. I'm looking forward to mine cause I have 3 dogs and white/gray floors thur whole house
Loud! One question: does it have hotsteam ?
A little loud lol! No louder than a regular vacuum though. It does not have hot steam
Can you clean and pick up dirt next to the walls or does it missed that part?
It does kind of miss that part, unfortunately. I usually will grab my Dyson stick vacuum and run around the edges of everything before I start, which definitely helps.
Will it work with carpet? That's mostly my house
Do you have to keep pressing the trigger for the water/solution mixture as you’re mopping?
Yes you do
Thank you so much for the video
I looked for videos showing using the crosswave version on carpet & you video did it! This multi surface cleaner is amazing!
I have question, how much liters water it takes & how many rooms those liters enough for?
It doesn’t really take that much water, unfortunately! I can usually do my Living room on one full tank of solution though, so that’s pretty good!
How does this work on pebble tech flooring? Cannot find the information anywhere
It's good but the sound ugh...
But,does it really save your time a lot? How long does it take you to clean your house with this now?
NB : sorry for my bad English.
The sound isn’t too bad! Not much louder than any other vacuum. More than saving time, it REALLY saves my back. It does a much better job than a regular mop and dries faster too. I love it
The question with these type of units is how good can you clean it before you start over..
In other words if you cleaned up ketchup, mustard, coffee grinds, and all of those things. Maybe even I don't know cat throw up...
You put it in the cleaner Trey and they say put water in there..
So how much bacteria is actually left from all of the cleaning..
That's my concern..
muzikmon2267 hi! The fresh water tank and the dirty water tank are completely separate, so you don’t have to worry about cross contamination. You can thoroughly clean the dirty water tank out as well as the brush bar, so if you have just cleaned a particularly dirty mess up, you can easily disinfect your machine. Hope that helps!
Did you have to remove the filter before using thank you so much 😊🙏🏻
Hi! No I didn’t, I was able to use it right away 😊
Are you supposed to keep the solution Despenser button pressed the entire time you clean or just initially for 10 seconds? Thank you.
It’s for the entire time you’re mopping. Occasionally you can lift your finger off of the button and vacuum dry to help the floor dry a little faster if you’d like, but otherwise you will need to hold down the button while you’re mopping. It’s light tough though, so it doesn’t wear you out 😊 Hope that helps!
@@kateschwanke Thank you so much! Nowhere in the instructions is this fact made clear.
How is it on getting in between small spaces? I love the price I think I’m gonna get one. I just have floors. How long does it take for your Floor to dry. The con for me would be the loud noise from the vacuum. Have you ever cleaned your house with steam? I wanna know if that really works so I was just curious if you did.
There's a new cordless one
I am curious how it would be at washing/cleaning wall to wall carpet.
I wouldn’t recommend it for that, it definitely performs best on hard floors! Have you looked into Bissells upright deep carpet cleaners?
The Bissell multi floor cleaner stuff that you use in this vacuum is good to use on carpet no it doesn't deep clean carpet or rugs it just refreshs the carpet or rug but you can wash your carpet and rugs with the cross wave it just won't replace a carpet cleaner
And I am definitely thinking about getting one of the Bissell Deep Cleaning Carpet Cleaners for the carpeted areas. I am so impressed with my Crosswave I think I would love one of those 🙌🏻
Can you fit it under things?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t go very flat like some of my other vacuums, so if you want to get under something like the couch, you would have to physically move the piece of furniture.
Hello, which one to choose? Crosswave or steam and clean? Can you advise me?
I have only tried the Crosswave, but I LOVE it!
Ok. Thank you🌷
You’re welcome!
In the video you used it as a dry vacuum on the carpet. Have you used it to shampoo the carpet yet to see how well it works?
I haven’t! I recently purchased and reviewed the Bissell Little Green to spot clean carpet and I LOVE it. Next, I think I might try out one of Bissell’s upright heavy duty carpet cleaners to clean the carpets in our house. I hear those work wonders!
@@kateschwanke Thank you for replying. Unfortunately I do not have the room for a bunch of different cleaning tools since we live in an RV. I was hopeful this would be the only thing needed to do it all. Guess I will keep searching. Thanks again
I see! I believe the CrossWave is supposed to work pretty well on area rugs, so if you have low pile carpet in your RV it could definitely work for you
I see! I believe the CrossWave is supposed to work pretty well on area rugs, so if you have low pile carpet in your RV it could definitely work for you
I'm trying to figure out what vacuum to buy. I have tile in the bathroom, kitchen, and hardwood floor in one living room. Carpet in another living room and all the rooms in the house. So I need a vacuum that will work on all types of floor. All I see is best vacuum for floor or vest vacuum for carpet. I'm not buying different vaccums for different floors. 😧 I have a baby too so she makes a mess in the kitchen so I want to avoid getting on the floor to clean everyday.
Where did you get your curtains? :)
I got them from TJ Maxx 💕
After how long do we have to replace filter and brush roller?
I think the filters are recommended replacement every 6 months. The brush bars you replace as needed 😊
what is the difference between Crosswave MAX and Crosswave??
With you having this for a year, how has this held up?
It’s been amazing! Still works just as well as the day I purchased it.
Looks like it works great but it’s loud as a jet.
My understanding was that this was only meant to clean area rugs not thicker pile carpet.
Hi! After I filmed this I realized that yes, it’s mostly for using with area rugs...BUT..that’s only if you want to use the fluids with it. If you want to use it as a regular vacuum, you totally can! Just buy the Rug Brush separately and it works just fine😊
The only reason they say area rugs & mats not carpets is because you would have to fill & empty it a few times to wash large areas of carpet but I've seen people clean big deep pile rugs & carpeted rooms & it did just fine! I would suggest dry vacuuming carpet with it first before using it to wash carpet so the dirty water tank doesn't get full quite so fast & your sink doesn't get blocked with lots of dirt hair & dust
No it doesn't work on high pile rugs. It just can't do it. Maybe attached carpet it can somewhat. But it sucks the fibers into the front. It just can't do it.
@@amandacollins518 I've seen people cleaning thick shag pile rugs as well carpets & large rubber mats......the only thing it struggles with is smaller mats which is clings onto because of the string suction......a few people have said it's a little harder to push on carpet due to suction but certainly not impossible to use on it
@@amandacollins518 they have improved the design making it better at wall to wall cleaning with improved mop heads so it's possible the newer ones work better on more types of carpet
salve, con cavo esiste solo il modello 1732, che non sia pet pro o altro, giusto?
I do my floor it washes them but after I look on my floor there’s still stuff on the grown like it’s never vacuumed it up particels are still there and I do it slow. It’s like I have use a vacuum to clean it again
I wonder if yours is defective? Mine still works like it did when I first bought it. We haven’t had any issues
how did you use this on the carpet without making it wet with the cleaning solution?
There is a button you have to press to put out the liquid, so if you want to vacuum the carpet without making it wet, you just leave that button alone 😊
kateschwanke thanks it worked❤️❤️
Is this a dry vaccum also or only wet.
It does both 😊
I think that woke up your son, because bissel crosswave is the loudest vacuum I know of :D
😂It is loud, but he slept through it! 🙌🏻
I hate how when you lower the handle lower the vacuum head comes off the floor. Makes it hard to clean under the kitchen table and beds. Also can’t get in tight spaces. No attachments for getting in those tight spaces so I still have to use my hand head vacuum or just a broom or duster or swiffer mop.
what about the grout fall l0l get a micro scrubber
How many watt this item was?
An was könnte das liegen?
A year later, would you still recommend? Theres so many mixed reviews online.
I definitely would recommend this vacuum still! It has come in handy for countless messes around our home, and works so wonderfully on our hard floors! I love it
A year later how do you like it?
I LOVEEEE this thing. It has completely made mopping so much easier.
My cross wave doesn’t Evean pick up little stuff I haven’t had that long like 3 months
Tell me, how has this Crosswave served you? I ask, because I've been hearing of more and more angry buyers who've complained that bearing failure causes the roller brush to stop spinning rather prematurely.
Hi! I love my Crosswave! I haven’t had even one issue with it. It has been a total game changer with keeping my floors clean 🙌🏻
Hi! I love my Crosswave! I haven’t had even one issue with it. It has been a total game changer with keeping my floors clean 🙌🏻
Is it able to go under beds? How flat does it fold I mean
It is not very flexible, unfortunately!
Wow, that machine is loud!
They are loud, but do a really good job. I literally cleaned my floors 4 days ago. Used the crosswave today and about puked when I saw how much came up! I Was literally only home to sleep during those 4 days!
How large an area it can clean with one tank of clean water?
I can usually clean my kitchen on one tank of water.
My dirty water tank barely fills with dirty water. Is that normal?
Are you making sure to press the water button the whole time you’re mopping?
