This glitch is performed when alternating between Light Shield (O) and normal Wing Flap (X). You must start with a double jump so you get the wing flap, then bring out the shield and repeat X,O,X,O. Jak 3 some how had a more depressing tone than the second game if you really think about. At the end of the second game they make us think that we finally saved haven city and finally gotten rid of the metal heads yet in the third game after saving everyone you get thrown out and left to die and when you finally get back to the city it's mostly over run by kgb bots and metal heads.

You, as the player, were the hope, who is basically Jak. Haven City also had some nicer elements to it, like the stadium, gardens, bazaar, and even the palace (aesthetically at least). It at least felt... liveable, albeit dystopian. In Jak 3, it felt like it was the end of the world, and with the city destroyed and overrun, it started to feel really overwhelming. Again, you were playing as the hope, but it felt much more daunting, with the odds against your favor. Pretty hectic shit.

I think those two things contribute to increased watch time for jak and daxter related content and videos like these getting served to people like us.

This reminded me of Army Men: Sarge's Heroes on the Dreamcast. In the very first level (or any that has army barracks) you can jump on a bed, rotate the camera through a wooden beam, and find a picture of a young girl. That was the first easter egg I ever found in a videogame

Definitely give them a go, they play differently and much darker themes. The game companies at the time were also pretty close, the first ratchet and clank games used the game engine that Jak and Daxter had created (hence why they look so similar)
Jak and daxter came out first and naughty dog actually gave insomniac their code so they could make ratchet and clank so basically without Jak and daxter ratchet and clank wouldn't exist. They are both amazing series tho, neither of them ripped off eachother.
