On 18th December, 1970 the State of Himachal Pradesh Act was passed by Parliament and the new state came into being on 25th January, 1971.
So this documentary has to be after that not 1940, though beautiful made

Tourists are major source of income to himachal. Theres is no manufacturing, no agri, no private service sector in himachal l.Will beg money from centre. Tourists must be respected but often the experience is bad Shimla Police is very rude...locals are very rude, infrastructure is poor. Mostly mandi people often bully the outsiders. Every time its a bad mood. Now given other options tourist will not visit himachal rather kashmir and uttrakhand is far better
