I love how Rick says 'We're not leaving', Andrew Lincoln the best actor ever.
I feel so conflicted. They have developed the governor so much that I almost don't want him to die. Hershel is probably dead. Someone else will probably die in the main cast as well Baby is dead. Prison will fall. One of those girls with the governor will probably turn on him seeing that he is evil and kill him in a really depressing scene

This mid-season finale is what SHOULD have been the finale of season three.

I think a lot of you but it on the head. Governor captures Michonne and Herschel and Herschel becomes the comic books Tyreese. He had a huge episode before the governor break so it only makes sense. He became such a great character too
say goodbye to the prison. rick will refuse to leave, govenor charges in with the tank, fences are down, walkers get in, rick's group is once again on the road... say hello to abraham, eugene, rosita, and alexandria here we go.

March 20/2023 still the best episode ever
The Walking Dead is my favorite TV show ever. I remember when this show first came out when I was in elementary school. I got into the show around season 3 or 4 and had my parents eventually join in too. We have watched every season and love it a lot. I’m now in college as the show is coming to an end. I’m sad, but hyped to see how it ends.
If its anything like the comic, the prison is fucked. But this is gonna be a exciting mid season finale

Voice 0:17 was Michonne I think an what I think she means is that she can end what she caused because we all know the governor was after her like she was after him and she has the bandage due to being grazed by gun. My theory..
To me still sounds like Carl saying it. He's referring to him aiming at the Governor. Since he gave his dad a hard time on letting the Governor live in Welcome to the Tombs. No way Michonne make it back in the prison nor talking to herself watching the governor if she escapes him.

In a preview for the mid-season finale, the Governor is talking to his group about why they need to take the prison. At one point, he specifically uses the phrase "They're gonna realize that their people are gone and start preparing for whatever comes next." This pretty much definitely seems to imply that he has Hershel, and that he managed to either scare off or harm Michonne in some way.
Both are captured.

I can definetley see Hershel dying, or at least being held hostage, like everyone else is saying, especially after that episode he had that was basically dedicated to him. I could also see Carl attempting to kill the governor because he tells Daryl that he could end it right now, followed by both of them pointing guns outside the fences. Chances are, Daryl would probably stop him, but I would still love to see Carl being the one who kills him. I don't really see anyone else in rick's group dying, other then, potentially, Hershel, simply because Rick's group has a lot more guns, and a lot more skill. Plus, it would be really bad for the show if they kept killing off big characters, like they did in season 3, because they need to keep those types of characters around in order to keep the ratings up there. I would, however, love to see what happens with Michonne, though. I mean, there's no way they're gonna kill her off. I just don't see it. He had to have done SOMETHING with her, though, after seeing him pointing a gun at Hershel, who was with Michonne the last time we saw him.
Despite the tank, and the few people who might be pretty good with guns on the governor's side, I would say that the governor wont stand a chance. If you think about it, all they gotta do is take out Mitch, and the tank is pretty much useless (assuming he is the only one who know how to operate it). I would still love, however, to see Rick's group being forced to leave the prison, simply because, in my opinion, that prison is getting really old, and i wanna see them go back to how it was in season 1; basically living in the woods. I just feel like we didn't get enough of that, and it would be really interesting to see how they handle that, after spending a couple years shielded by walkers from behind a prison fence.

Is it me or are they redeeming a main part of the comics? (Governor attacks prison, rick loses an arm, Hershel gets killed, Beth gets killed and falls on Judith killing her, and Lilly (the cop girl) turning on the Governor and killing him?)

Something awful's about to happen, but it doesn't have to be just like in the comics, it would get too predictable. what seems sure, is that old Hershel will be shot by the governor, i'm sure many of the new people in the prison will die, that's what they arrived to the show, to die instead of the main characters, as of Mich, Daryl, Rick, Carl, Glenn, Maggie, i think they'll be fine.

I have been waiting for this war too all 4 seasons
My theory. Hershel is taken prisoner and kept hostage whilst the Governor tries to persuade Rick into giving over the prison. Rick denies and the Governor kills Hershel causing Rick to go apeshit and fire his revolver at the governor and his group causing Rick to at least get a shot to the leg (He won't die but there's no way that he's getting away from all of the Governors people considering that he's pretty much 5-10 feet away from the fence in the clip when conversing with the Governor and the clip in which he fires his weapon.) I also believe that Judith is going to die in the process of Beth being killed by Lilly which could possibly lead to Michonne 'losing it' as seen in the clip where she is crying (Remember a few episodes back when Michonne had that little moment with Judith? Suggesting that she's possibly lost a child before). This could also lead to Lilly realising what she's done and how much of a monster the Governor really is = Bye bye Guvna (Just like the comics)
Other than that, I have no clue what's going to happen but I'm sure as hell pretty damn excited to find out. This episode looks to be amazing.

When Rick says"We're not leaving." The Governor is going to bring out Hershel and kill him. Then we see Rick shouting and then shooting is revolver starting the fight. Later when Rick's group falls he orders the group to retreat. Beth who is holding Judith is shot while running to cover. Only Daryl,Maggie, and Michonne stay after the group retreats. The Governor knocks Michonne down and Daryl is shot in the left hip yet he still stands and shoots the governor in the chest with his crossbow and then collapses. Michonne gets up to see Daryl dead and looks at Beth who is dead with Judith. She grabs Judith and runs off. Maggie climbs down the tower that was damaged and sees the Governer still alive with an arrow in his chest. She goes over to him and The Governor pulls out his handgun and aims at Maggie only to see he is out of ammo. Maggie pulls out her pistol and kills the governor. She finds Rick and Carl and they ask where is Judith. Then Michonne comes up with Judith. They walk on to the interstate where the first episode of season 2 took place. They find a car and drive off. Then the car breaks down. Then Abraham comes and the group points their weapons at him. The episode ends with Abraham and the group pointing their weapons at each other.

Here's my Theory: The Governor takes Hershel as a hostage, and then goes to the prison's wall with his new army (and the tank), and tells Rick to leave or die. Rick says no, and The Governor executes Hershel. The war begins, and few main characters die. In the end, Rick's group is outnumbered, and few of theme run away, while others are taking by The Governor and his people. Rick is one of the people that becomes a prisoner. Daryl takes the other survivors away, and the season ends with The Governor is now the boss of the prison.
It would be really tragic if in the 2nd half of the season The Governor's people will start getting sick.

MrBuckeyes93 I don't know, the writers have been abit more ballsy with this season but I think that the two people that will not die is Judith and Carl because no one wants more episodes of Rick being all sad. However, I remember hearing that you can tell who is going to die by seeing who comes to comic con (the one without the panel) and this year it was Glenn and Michonne but that is just a theory.

The blood on the Governors face is probably from him just cutting Hershels head off with the Katana Michonne has.

Oh the 0:22 Hershel point-blanked.
The Governor captures Hershel AND Michonne when they are caught outside and immediately uses them as hostages when he arrives with his tank. It looks like the Governor blows up one of the watch towers again near the gate with Mitch's tank. We see the tower is in pieces and on fire. I'm assuming the noise brings Rick to the front gate that's why we see him just standing there. He and the Governor have a short conversation where the Governor gives tells him he has till sundown to pack up and hit the road with his entire group. Rick tells him about the disease and the sick children, explaining how they will die on the road. The Governor responds (again) stating that he has a tank and shows it off. He asks them to leave again and Rick says, "we're not leaving," and The Governor climbs down from the tank and executes Hershel :( with his handgun or Michonnes sword. Rick gets mad, draws his handgun, and fires.. Starting a large firefight like the one seen in Season 3 Episode 10 "Home". Michonne is going to escape with her sword, somehow. For deaths, I honestly don't know what is going to happen. Sadly, we know Hershel is a goner. They gave his death away five minutes after last episode aired so I'm guessing Beth, Sasha, and several prison background characters will be shot dead along with The Governor dying somehow, Mitch being killed by Rick, Daryl, or Tyreese and Tara being shot beside one or two of the Governors group members. Half of this is fact, this bottom half is speculation I guess u could say.

I think the battle will carry on to the 9th episode. So I think the mid season will have half the battle and the rest is on the 9th with everyone getting seperated. And I've been hearing about Daryl dieing in episode 9.

I bet the governor is gonna shoot michonne in the head, then take hershel as a prisoner as a way to make rick open the gates, rick denies, and the governor shoots hershel which explains the blood on his face. But its revealed that the bullet only grazed michonnes head and she is fine which would explain why she has a bandage on her head at 0:24

I'm guessing that it's Hershel. Not Carl. Governor kidnaps Hershel outside prison and holds him hostage whilst asking Rick to give over the prison. Rick says "We're not leaving" so the Governor get's pissed and kills Hershel causing Rick to go beast mode and pull out his gun as seen in the promo. Honestly can't wait for this episode, most excited I've been in ages for The Walking Dead.

Actual Story: Governor walks up to Michonne and Hershel but Michonne runs away from Governor and didnt take Hershel. Governor's soldiers took Hershel as prisoner to Rick's prison. Rick walked to fence and talk to Governor about Giving up his prison but Rick never. Governor's soldiers takes Hershel out of tank and Governor shoots him all blood over him. Rick shouted "NO!" he pulled his revolver out and shoot soldiers and battle starts

When the Governor go's back to his group he will lie and say they try to kill him so he can his group will fight them so they can take the land. Well, the Gov. is a master of manipulation. Look at the sneak peek of the episode. He tells everyone at the camp that most of the prison group is composed of bad people that mutilated him.

I was wondering how much force can that tank shoot? One shot of the tank could blow up huge part of the Prison. I really hope Rick and the group better finds a Anti-tank Javelin so that they can destroy the tank before it causes anymore harm. I don't know if that's possible but it is just my idea.
I agree with something happens with Judith cause why else would beth be running outside, looking like shes crying
