In today's video, we walk you through what it was like to play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom while playing as a YIGA. We only wore the Yiga armor, only ate bananas, and held ourselves to other YIGA rules as well!
It was funny to see how the NPCs reacted differently to YIGA Link. We'll play from the intro to Ganon in this video, so grab a banana or other Yiga snack and buckle up!

I believe if you kill Yigas with a weapon they will guarantee drop weapons but if you kill them by throwing I don't think they will drop weapons everytime

I'm pretty sure is if it's burn damage. Not an elemental weapon, but if they burn to death, they will not drop their weapon? Maybe?
it’s if YOU kill them so like if it’s death by fire or anything that was not from link directly they won’t drop

You can get the Yiga hideout vehicles into your favorites by repairing them inside the hideout. There is no need to actually buy them. Just find the missing part around and put it on the vehicle. That also brings down the cost by one as you don't need to create the apple from zonaite. Both are missing a single piece. Just make sure to do it after you get the autobuild ability.
Here’s something I know we all did in botw: we all dyed the sheika armor red or dark red because the yoga outfit didn’t exist and it looked cool

You guys talked a lot about whether the Yiga will drop their weapons upon defeat. They seem to always drop them when defeated by a melee attack, but if defeated by a thrown item, will only drop it if said thrown item has shock properties. So if you stock up on exclusively Electric Chu Jelly and shock fruit, you’ll be swimming in Eightfold Blades. Plus, you’ll find pristine versions of those weapons in the Depths under Necluda once you have broken a normal one in battle.

29:56 it's not just the Yiga weapons that do that! any sword that you fuse with any blade-type material (most Bokoblin and Lizalfos horns, and i'd guess amber and diamonds too) will do that. other things (club-type horns like Moblin and Horriblin horns, other gemstones, basically anything that doesn't look like a blade) just attaches to the tip of the sword. it's a really neat detail!
Edit: this specifically works with sword weapons. spears and stuff would probably work similarly but i almost exclusively use one-handed swords xD
Exactly what I was going to say! On top of that it actually shows that horns are entirely hollow. But it also unrealistically shortens certain blades. I put Gleeok horns on Knight's Claymores and was like excuse me what the freak.

Did you know that yiga have special dialogue if you wear the lightning helm with the rest if the Yiga outfit, and it also lets you blend in with the Yiga.

You can get the Yiga trap bananas by burning them.
They’ll talk to you once , then the bananas will still burn. Once cooked you can pick them up. Hope this comes in handy 👍.
You can also hit them with your sword and when they move enough you can just pick them up
Nah, Link wouldn't be torn to bits by that final fall into the pond. His bones are too strong from all the potassium he eat along the way.

I 500,000 percent approve of Yiga Clan challenge! Maybe go a bit easier on the only toss items before Yiga weapon is obtained. To be a real clan, also, an initiation ceremony is strongly suggested.
on the sand shrine out side of the yiga clan hide out you could just rewind the orb after it launches out of the cannon

I think they don't always drop their weapons is because you never seem to actually kill them they just seem to teleport away on defeat.
What happens if you see a yiga riding a zoni device? Can you shoot the zoni device with an arrow? Will it turn it off and kill the yiga?

A banana a day keeps the yiga at bay
+ You were only supposed to use the Yiga paraglider (immediately use an amiibo after getting the paraglider)
When you come across a yiga trap you can put the yiga armor on and shoot the banana, and after they talk to you you can usually take the banana. You might need to shoot it a few times though
I want a Deadpool mask so my Yiga clan outfit would have a new twist and the fans would have way more fun with this idea! Deadpool could help Marvel and Nintendo get along or at least Marvel and Legend of Zelda! We just have to keep the Deadpool content strictly pg or G rated, or E, in gamer ratings!
