- Baker Aviation is the school in which I'm studing to become an aircraft mechanic. It is found in Miami and counts with a 737-200 and an MD-80 for training.

First flight....7/1968! That's an ole -200, great to see it preserved.
THAT IS THE BEST AIRCRAFT IN THE WORD!
That school has been there for over 40 years. Sure a lot of great mechanics have graduated from there.
And this is STILL Boeing's best answer to Airbus...
Shows how little they need to compete against Airbus 😂
The sound of those PW are amazing
Best 2 instructors on Baker.
Mr Flores from Airframe as co-pilot, Mr. Newell from PPlant pilot
737-200 still there and running
Well not really running currently and probably wont be fixed, but great to learn from.
Thanks for sharing! Damn, the APU is noisy, but I actually like that "heavy metal" sound.
Yes I thought the same, I was wondering where is that jet sound coming from if the engines are off? Then I remember the little APU on the tail lol
@@user-ix5qy7um6o The spinning mechanical gyros and instruments are surprisingly loud as well.
@@user-ix5qy7um6o Older, mechanical instruments contain spinning components like gyros. When they start spinning, it gets noisy in a cockpit. Search for : Spinning C-5 Sperry gyroscope. You will see what I meant.
737-200s still around especially runnable for taxi are going to be very valuable as a heritage exhibit in a few years, the doyen of the most popular jetliner and for years the definitive 737.
Couple still airworthy and generating revenue here in Canada
You guys are so lucky to have a fully working instructional airframe... we have an old B727-200F that doesn't even have a working electrical system. :P
Everett?
Geez. My AMT school doesn't even have that. All we have are GA aircraft, and very few of them even work.
Awesome Video!
Nice video!!!!!
Thank you. I risked permanent hearing damage to make it 😂
Nice Footage of A Plane
perfect video ,very good, thankyou very much
Mr. Flores is the best my fav instructor
The 737-200 Is A First generation Aircraft Since 1967
Exquisite
a whole lot of ancient technology and manual flying in that aircraft
Nice
Was wondering why there was a padlock on that compartment near the tail then I looked at it again. It appears to be a security seal.
Nice aircraft
it's first flight was 29-07-1968
stored at AEX 2003
ferried AEX-MIA 28-12-2010 for maintenance
I didn't know airplane porn existed on youtube
Hahaha!!!
Aviation geek terminology:
Rare, awesome look at a classic plane video=airplane porn.
Love it!
Analog Radar is still exist
He is a stud, he doesn't have to.
Did they have a checklist? It's required whenever carrying out startup procedures on an airplane. At least that's what I learned during my time at George T. The guy on the left was one of my powerplant instructors. Does he still own that repair station up in FLL?
Well, I am currently a student, and from what I've seen, he still works at baker today.
Those rivets on the outside makes me drool lakes
Nolinor still fly one of these 200s
Unfortunately. The camera zoom is too close and the movements are too fast!
Looking at aircraft flying overhead is not part of the walk around-LOL. But seriously, neat video
I hate the look of those engines but I like the sound
In next video hold camera steady
wow my birth date!!!!
2:28 md-80?
Or a DC9
He might have really meant "studding".
It's spelled studying NOT studding.
Yea, but not in this sentence. I know there is a meaning to studding.
lol
Analog indicators
Low by pass ratios - too much noise!
Bad fuel consumption - black exhausted fumes full of carbon and unbuernt fuel
Kerosene fumes
good old years
This 737-200 SUCKS!!!!!!!!
