He plays in those great open tunings but I gotta tell trying to find chords in those tunings is crazy because the notes on the fretboard are completely different. Hurts my brain but much respect for the people like Shakey who can do it so flawlessly......

Hey Hey! That's a great suggestion, and we try to capture as much gear as we can, a lot of times the artist just grab something off the wall or we rent for them because of their touring situations... BUT this guitar happens to be a 2012 Gibson AJ (Advanced Jumbo) in vintage sunburst, here are some we have: bit.ly/1rTI3EH
AND in case you're wondering, his suit case drum is a custom built suitcase with a half of a drum shell installed into it, and 2 flip out pedals, one for the kick and the other for percussion accessories.

Not me. A lot of mates started, probably for that reason, aged about 12-15. I started aged 19 because my friends would blow my tiny mind with that little stringed box. I bet any money if it was for a girl, or girls in general, I'd be so much better than I am.
lol don't be so sure. the problem with that motivation is (for me) that when you learn guitar to get the girl back, you meet other girls, then you practice less because you're hanging out with her. it's a vicious cycle
