Is that legal? To push them when they are screening and to throw your arm at the screen?

So it's okay to set a screen with both elbows up like Walton shows early in the video? I've had some refs say they would call an offensive foul if your elbows are up. I had always seen picks set with hands down until I saw a pick set with elbows up; since then I've kind of done it both ways.

Yes, and no. But you have to be careful because if you elbow the defender you will most likely be called for a flagrant foul. Iv'e always used arms down low for a screen. Not sure if this is a practical use for a screen. But look at footage of Bill Laimbeer, he did it all the time. So, I would go with arms down low- especially since the game has changed since the 80's.

Elbows up in the "fist-to-fist" technique has the elbows outside of the body's width, so it's mostly called foul.
Elbows up in the "fists-to-elbows" technique is ok since both elbows are still within the screener's body width.
However, some refs and coaches are still not familiar with these elbow-up screening techniques and they criticize it. These refs and coaches need to have their knowledge updated once in a while.
