I really hope this kid pans out, a Martin St. Louis on defense.
A possibly better comparison would be Dan Boyle, who also had naysayers due to being undersized. Really the million dollar question with this kid is if he has the toolset to overcome being smaller in size.
@@jmcminn1076Said Marty St. Louis because there is only an inch difference between the two, Dan Boyle is a 2 inch difference lol. Having a high hockey IQ will be the deciding factor to whether he can makeup for his size gap and be a boom.

Could you see us packaging the 14th 42nd and one of the prospects like Havelid to move up to the 6-8 range?
Id like to see us package the 14th and vegas pick next year for a top end NHL talent. Marner is pie in the sky but i doubt hed want to come. Theres others we can target. We need someone to pair with Mac and make life easier for him

The problem with moving up, especially in the top 10 is actually finding a taker, which I don't think Utah, Ottawa or Seattle are really that open to it. New Jersey might be the only one willing and at this point, I don't believe we can get the top Dman there. I can be wrong obviously but realistically, I'm not holding my breath for a trade up. But we will see how aggressive GMMG will be
@@ISAGRANKE53 Makes way more sense for us to wait till we are closer to contention to make a move for top talent. We are in the building phase where we need to draft franchise cornerstones still.
@@metsunie yeah it’ll be tough and probably would require an overpay so I’m just hoping that whoever GMMG likes falls far enough to that NJ pick because I can see someone falling

I don't think I will.
The sharks downfall was inevitable. After losing in 2019 they didn’t have a chance after that. When you have a time that’s good season after season a rebuild is eventually necessary. Karlssons introduction to an older team doesn’t change the fact that the team was close to a rebuild.
You should trade him for something while he has value. Even if he pans out to be a nhl caliber defenseman. We all know what happens to these guys come playoff time.
