- Fabricating a belt conveyor for my homemade firewood processor so I can transport firewood straight into the firewood crates. This means I don't have to stack firewood ever again. I'm using scrap steel and bits and pieces I have laying around on the homestead to keep the project cost down. This video is the second and also the final part of the two part series. But new videos will come! Stay tuned!

great job mate ,glad you got hold of proper belt.
I am glad that you did the camfer I suggested on the last video, it does really work well! 💪🤓👍 I fixed my old Mecedes A180 generator pulley with this, it was rubbing the tension mount, you do need a lathe though 😁

If it’s interesting, judging by the look of the wheel from a car, a Moskvich.
I like that good job buddy.

I don't even watch TV anymore. CZcamsrs like yourself are absolutely fantastic to watch. Great job. My father would love this at his farm
I stopped watching regulr TV about 3 years ago. I hated the cutting they made, then recycled material, and always before and after advertising they did a what's to come, and what has happened :P ... like they thought everyone was idiots watching .... with YT and the like, there's no such stuff, not treating their viewers like braindead zombies ...
I admit I stopped watching TV as well .... I think you could rebuild anything just by watching CZcams ...
Same here. Guys like Donn are inspiring me to go and do shit with my hands instead of sitting on my arse. I also deleted social media apps and accounts because for me it looked like it made people even more idiotic.
I agree :)
Ditto!
Instead of spending time to do the logs by hand, spend your time to build machines to do it 👌 that's a good way to have fun. Bravo 👏👏
Watched your complete builds, firewood processor and conveyor...could not stop watching, actually, didn't want to stop! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents on the tube! As mentioned previously, I never watch TV, just great videos as yours where we can learn something new and make life easier on our farm. By the way, real nice-looking farm you all have too!
“pretty good!!”
Thanks again, stellar build Donn 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Outstanding! I'm a second generation conveyor belt technician, and this whole series was just a joy to watch. I've worked on hundreds of conveyors in paper mills, mines, lumber mills, biomass power plants, etc. This was great build! I have enormous respect for your talent and ingenuity, and I can't wait to see what you'll think up next. This might be the first CZcams link I've ever sent to my Dad, because he's one of the few people on earth who will truly appreciate it. :)
Thanks man. I'm glad you liked it. 💪
Machines to save time, money, and wear and tear on the body.
Great ideas and fabrication Donn!
Stunning execution, inspiring work! Thanks for your time and effort you put into these videos, I truly appreciate it
Absolutely love it! Not just the latest conveyor build, but the whole processor. You are an inspiration to me as I begin my maple syrup business. I also have to deal with a huge amount of firewood and therefore have started to look for ideas on how to do things better and be more efficient. This whole project is a testament to efficiency. Great Job!
Don't work harder, work smarter! Fantastic videos thanks for sharing.
This whole Build is off the charts !!! You are an amazing fabricator - Your thought process on your builds goes way beyond most viewers imagination..... and your Edits are always Top Notch.. I cant imagine how long it takes you to setup cameras as well as Edit the footage!!!! Love your channel and can't wait for your next build .... I Know it will be amazing !!! Thank you !!!!!
Brilliant engineer. Hats off.
Yay. More DonnDIY
Faster firewood processing means more time for cool projects. 😁
Thanks!
Donn, it's amazing. You made the whole plant for production firewoods from small splitter.
I'm looking forward to the following projects 😊
Following you since a long time. I appreciate your solutions face to many building problems, sometimes too light maybe. But I recognize these last two projects are amazing ! Quickly built and looks like very efficient and comfortable.
Bravo !
Really looks good and works good too Donn. Fantastic job 👍👍. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred.
Excellent job, as always, Donn! Works even better than I imagined, thanks for sharing!
Brilliant work
Cheers man!
You are an amazing engineer Donny. Love watching your builds. Billy J..... Australia.
I am inspired at your engineering skills that you put into your builds. Everything that you make is some of the finest machinery that I have seen anywhere. Great job, once again.
Thank you very much for the kind words!
From the Space Coast of Florida I say, “Excellent job!” Thank you very much.
You are the Leonard da Vinci of fabricating!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
😆😁
"If you want something done right, DIY!" Or ask Donn to build it! YOU ARE AN AWESOME ENGINEER, Donn!! The amphibious will go down in History! All your builds will! I see the 1 Million+ Subs on it's way! I don't write that, in comments, very often.
I am super impressed, The conveyor came out better than I thought. The whole set up is very nice and well thought out. Looks like one can process a lot with less back ache!
The crates will make it easy to move and allow for much better airflow to dry out the wood, While keeping it dry from ground contact. Since these crates are stack able. Even your small skid steer should be able to double stack them in nice rows.
If you keep with the IBC totes this will work well. It really depends on if you can collect enough of them at a cheap enough price.
Yup, I got a bunch of them for reasonable price and all of my firewood is in them now. I really love this setup.
Super gear ! Inventor award !
Hi there Donn.. thank you for this brilliant series.. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you modify the wood splitter. Your mechanical knowledge is superlative...As a chef I am not mechanically minded, but I really loved the way you went about tackling the project...
Congratulations on a job well done... btw.. loved the "float" quip... had a hearty chuckle
Красавчик настоящий МУЖИК Я ВПЕЧЕТЛЁН
Amazing! Great job, turned out so good it looks store bought!
Яркое подтверждение высказывания «лень двигатель прогресса» в положительном смысле ! Молодец и руки золотые!👍
Большое спасибо!
Because of your video's and many others, i chose to study machinebuild. Love your video's! Greets from Max-Pieter
That's cool! Engineering is awesome. 👍
Oh Donny..... I love your creativity 😍👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻
You never cease to amaze me on your engineering and building skills! Then you come up with your next project that seems to outdo the previous project that's even better. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see your next project. Stay safe.
Kind words. Much appreciated. I will do my best with the next project. Thanks for watching! 😉
Amazing job! You are a very talented individual. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
I did not even think that this conveyor belt would do such an attachment.
It's great job again.
Wish you good luck every time
Smart people work using their brains.. strong people work using their muscles.. Idiots.. try to work.. but end up in hospital..Nice Video.. and verry nice build. Keep them coming. Cheers.
That was an awesome series, you're a great fabricator. I enjoyed watching you build.
That thing works as well if not better than any of the commercial ones I've seen, and it's a hell of a lot better than any I've ever owned. Nice job!
Ух ты! Да это же целый завод!!! 😱👍👍👍
You make this “something from nothing” thing look so easy!
Absolute treat to see it operating! Very nice work!
The kick flip was sweet man better than I could ever do.
I've been stuck on a build, and watching for ideas. I'm so glad I caught this video. Great job! And thank you so much for sharing some great ideas under that system!
You're welcome!
I LOVE the scratch built conveyor system! I think it'd be neat to make one on a smaller scale for my RC construction equipment to use!
cant wait till I get my shop built and automate some of the stuff on the home site... Good job, keep em coming..... Enjoying your videos
Only one that can truly appreciate this video, is someone that's cuts wood for their fireplace them self.
Who needs shows like "I think I'm important, get me out of here", this much better.
sensational! you really are an artist! what you design and build with simple means is absolutely great! 👍👍👍👋👋👋🇩🇪🤝🤝🤝
Thanks man! I appreciate it. 😉
I have been watching this in New Zealand. You are a truly gifted man. Your work ethics and skills are amazing. Good luck with future projects.
Молодец!!! Настоящий мастер! 👋👋👋👍👍👍💪💪💪
BRAVO FRIEND! Well done, a true work-saver!
Wow Donn, another home run! Amaze-balls, man.
The tire / belt idea was not a bad one. I'm sure it might have worked good but the conveyer belt was a great idea!
I agree the tires would've worked too, but since I found out I had a conveyor belt it was only fair to use it as originally intended - as a conveyor belt. 😁
Exceptionally well done, sir.
Cheers man!
So cool to see the whole thing in action. Great job!
Brilliant. Love watching the videos you post. Thank you.
Thank you very much for watching!
That works perfect thanks for such a great video series as always
Sat here smiling in appreciation for you mate ! Hope all is well with you and yours = )
It is. Thanks for the good wishes!
Once again a brilliant project that work's really well. Congratulations
VERY NICE !!! Donny, yo've done it again!
💪
Purely brilliant!
Thx for showing us!
:-D
Thanks for watching! 😉
Wow Don DIY everything you have done that I have watched so far has a maze meet I just don't know where you come up with this stuff but it's great that is for sure hope all is well with you and your family. I am always waiting on new stuff that is for sure makes my oh so boring life worthwhile. You stay safe and stay well and as always God bless
You're a god amongst insects 👍👍👍
Love it, works great
Thanks!
Well done, Donn! Applause!!!
Thanks man. 💪
Ive Built Freeways, Bridges, Canals, and some Dams, but I never built a Wood Processor. It was Very interesting watching build your Wood Processor, Good Job !
Thank you!
Nice work. Seems to function just as it all should. Well done Sir.
Excellent- love it! I’ve just finished building a hydraulic log splitter out of scrap - very satisfying! Your ideas are very inspiring. 👍
Very cool you got inspired!
That looks like a great work saving help for dealing with wood. Good job.
Very well thought out awesome design. Thanks for another outstanding video.
I love that if you look carefully you can just see the yellow of the original splitter. Nice job once again can't wait to see what you do next
Yup, I left the original splitter the original color. So if anyone asks what I built the firewood processor around I can point at the yellow thing. 😁
Your fab skills are pretty impressive. You have a great eye for " Hey, this will work...."
You are basically a genius!!!
16:20 look at that Pile of Sawdust behind the Machine.....seems to work pretty good
Now doing firewood is a calm and relaxing process haha good job !!
From Canada
Yes. Absolutely. This year I did all of the firewood alone myself. Previous year it would've been something I would've avoided. 😁
Wow that came out awesome great job you have some of the best videos of DIY stuff on CZcams thanks for sharing
That is a very nice machine you have made there (whole unit) your family must be very proud of you for all your innovations around the farm (I know I would be) keep up the good work, stay safe and stay well.
Absolutely brilliant
I love it all !!! Watched you build the firewood processor and then the conveyor. What great work you have done with your own to hands such accomplishments !! Great design , great work !! 👍👍👍I look forward to more videos on your channel !!
Thanks man. More videos will follow! Stay tuned!
Grandfather should be so proud of you for building such a Contraption 👍
This is amazing, I love that you can adjust height
It was very noble of you to sacrifice your skateboard. ;-) It was for the benefit of all of us. Thank You.
Wow, fantastic work. Will have to look for the video on that processor. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
Cheers man! The wood processor build video series is on my channel. 😉
Awesome job 👍
💪
No better feeling than a successful project! Great job!!
Yes, absolutely.
This is fantastic, it works really well. Well done!
Cheers!
You, sir, are a master - so skillful and smart! God bless you!
That's going to save you and your family alot of hard work and it works nice and smooth as well ive built a few conveyors and i must saythat 1 gets my approval well done
Definitely pays back in long term usage! Love for Finland :)
Let's hope so. I'm glad to have it and use it now. Greetings from Estonia!
Awesome find for the new belt. I can almost see the smile on your face when you came across that gem.
Yes. And even the width of the belt was spot on. Lentght also.
Excellent work, loved the video series. Built not bought👌🏻
Молодец гений ты продолжай такими духом .
Very nice! That is sure going to be a back saver!
That came out awesome, can’t wait to see what you make next.
WOW ....Donn Amazingly job on it. A Great idea Mate I would love this on my farm
Great catch on the conveyor belt, that brings the project to a much better functionality plateau than it was with the tires.
I guess it would've started functioning in some way even with the tires as a conveyor belt. But an actual conveyor belt is much better I guess. 😀
absolutely brilliantly done. Definitely a youtube channel favorite.
Fantastic final ending Donn!! Your engineering skills are awesome. I had my doubts about the electric splitter but I was wrong. I used those same Tote cages for years putting a third of a cord stacked in each one and that made dumping them into my dump trailer for delivery a breeze. Job well done. Happy holidays to you and your family. They should be proud of you and your work ethic...
Dude that was amazing! I've seen a lot of shade tree mechanics (me included), but not many shade tree engineers, especially making stuff of that quality!
G'day Donn another terrific piece of engineering that you made that works and saves some of the down time, well done again Donn kind regards a John
awesome build Donn, you nailed it
Thanks!
