Rainy Walk through Lush Forest and Secluded Mountain Temple | Japan 4K Nature Ambience - ASMR

- Atop Mount Shosa is a tranquil forest and the sprawling Engyoji Temple complex with traditional wooden buildings scattered amid the trees along quiet paths. The forest is near the small city of Himeji in Hyogo Prefecture, and the mountaintop temple has been an import natural retreat from the city throughout the centuries. More recently it was featured in the film The Last Samurai.
I imagine it's peaceful at any time, but on this day with the steady rain the mountain was virtually deserted. Throughout the walk we are treated to the sound of rain as we walk up and down peaceful trails through the trees that would have been walked by countless other before. I really like seeing these types of historic and culturally significant buildings in such a beautiful and quiet setting, and the rain added even more ambiance. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Thank you so much for this wonderful relaxing and cooling video. I am watching it bit by bit during breakfast in the summer heat of Vienna city and it really helps to feel cooler and calmer. You have some amazing forests and temples in Japan!
It's a wonderful and quiet place to visit especially in the rain. The fog in some areas makes the woods look eerie. The time-weathered buildings are well maintained for generations to learn about their history. This beautiful place must be packed with visitors in the summer. Thank you!
very beautiful place
Love listening and watching God's beautiful creations What an amazing God we have
Ambient Exploration: Another excellently produced video! Did 1 hr. 2 mins on my treadmill routine and feel great, thanks! The green forest and isolated mountain temple were wondrous to behold. The pathways were lush, and made amazingly distinctive by those striking stone markers! I can see why the location was filmed for The Last Samurai, it's so beautifully tranquil and sets the perfect scene for Japanese Zen. Thank you for your superb editing, pacing, good pan work, and varied scenery on these productions that show a different side of Japan that International admirers don't often see at a slower pace than a quick touristy shot. Happy continued filming! Margie, USA
"A clean and well-maintained place."
The Rain and the scenery helps cure my Insomnia, very peaceful and feel much more like pure Japan
Watched the whole thing. I enjoyed all of it (incl. that you took off your shoes and went up to the temple proper to show us around), but I'll say that @1:13:40, with those rows of Jizo statues - that was actually quite touching and heart-warming to see.
Beautiful walk, really relaxing ❤

Are you just using an umbrella you hold in one hand or how are you keeping the rain off?
Yes I have an umbrella in one hand, camera in the other. Mostly keeping the rain off...
Love your videos I had to subscribe every thing is beautiful calming and peaceful 😊😊😊👍
Was it difficult to stabilize the motion in shooting while walking ? Would you consider using a gopro instead ?
It was a bit difficult to keep steady walking over the uneven ground but the gimbal on the Pocket 3 smooths things out a bit. I have tried using a GoPro in rainy lowlight conditions but the combination of digital stabilization and slow shutter speed made the footage jumpy and blurred.
@@ambient_exploration i thought maybe the digital stabilization of gopro could eliminate the up and down motion. I would like to make similar videos but unsure if to get the osmo pocket 3 or hero 12
I had the Hero 11 and I'd highly recommend the Pocket 3 if you want to do walking videos. The GoPro stabilization works great with high shutter speeds on bright sunny days but really struggles in shadows and overcast conditions. As for the up and down motion, I think the best way to reduce that is with walking technique...I'm still working on that...good luck with whatever direction you decide to go!
