- One hour before I trained legs with my friend Ron Parmeter I sat down to eat. My pre workout meal had a lot of protein, a lot of carbs and then I got in my Core Fury Pre Workout.
I am currently doing a Push Pull and Legs routine so today we go through and explain all the lower body movements.
Hack Squats, Stiff Leg Deadlift, Step Back Lunges, Leg Curls and Leg Extensions are all part of the program today.
Such a great day in the gym!
Paul looks really great for his age! Keeps everything so simple.
Great video love to see the mixture of informative information as well as you putting yourself through the wringer. Looking forward to the full day of eating video.
Hey Paul!Great video! Love seeing the leg workout with your voice-over. E.O.S. has some great equipment! I wish my gym had that! You are looking strong!👍
I am feeling good thank you!
Perfect timing, I’m about to head to the gym for a leg day. I’m going to do the same lifts y’all did
Great video Paul!
I'm always a fan of what trainers/coaches do on their normal day-to-day life and in this case showing us what the meal is prior to the workout (and with the workout consist of).
Interesting trivia regarding no post meal after this session.
Good stuff man. I’m 48 as well and have been really focusing on same goals.
Yes! Full day of eating! Really like these kinds of videos too
Yay! Thank you!
Love the new content 👏🏾
appreciate the feedback!
Nice job coach 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙌🙌
I hear you! When I do legs with my PT I gotta huscle! 2 x pre workouts, a tin of creamed rice, a bagel with peanut butter plus an LCM bar for good measure!! But now when I go hiking in the mountains at the age of 51 there is no pain and no injuries. Thanks for the video 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
Great video PR!
Like seeing you push yourself at 48. Great example for the rest of us.
Appreciate it!
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Got to love leg day👌🏻👍
always fun!
“uncle” Bens”💯🇺🇸🗽💪🏼
That’s what I eat with my protein before a workout, pretty much alot.
Those instant pouches are expensive though (after-while)
I just got myself a $14-bucks rice cooker. I can’t wait 👏🏼
I go for a miller lite post workout.
👏👏👏
Great video! I just finished the New Start, New Year Challenge. I feel like a new man having dropped 22 or so pounds. You stated at the "11;33 mark of the video ..."at 48 I am still trying to add some muscle." I am 59. I too want to add some muscle BUT at what point does one accept their natural genetic potential has been reached? I want to take the next 3 months and see if I can add 10 pounds of muscle. Do you think that is NATURALLY possible? If you have a challenge in the Fall then I will see you there. It was a great experience in what one can do with a solid plan. You have a great team! BTW the guy who won it (Dan) had an amazing transformation. Thx, Jeffrey White
Ron and you should do the lay down hamstring and leg extension one legged. One leg is usually a tad bit stronger(usually the dominant leg) so start with the weaker leg. I always feel my dominant leg is doing just a little greater percentage of the lift if doing two legged.
I appreciate the advice, though you are making suggestions to two guys with 30 years of experience and we have done every method possible. We switch it up quite a bit!
Youngsters. Lol. 40 years experience here. I understand though. 😀
Steak digests fast? I was under the impression it took awhile. Good to know.
Swimming vs walking which is better during fatloss? Also considering muscle retention!
Dang that’s a nice kitchen
Yall are both looking mighty fooine in there
well you are too nice!
Hey Paul! I’m curious about the measurement of the steak. I’ve always struggled with the left over thing cause it’s already been cooked and weighs less than then the raw form. I’ve always measured cooked meet less. So if I wanted 4oz raw, I’d measure 3oz cooked.
Is this a big deal? How do you go about it?
i just weigh it after when tracking, and I look up the nutrition information for cooked, they are two different values.
Paul, I train at 445am so fasted chug pre workout and get after, have Meal 1 at 8am smoothie3 eggs 230g eggwhites140g frozen banana and strawberry 1 scoop protein powder, should I add carbs to that meal such as oats? I have carbs at meal 3 230pm potatoes meal 4 530pm rice.
That's a great plan. I would add carbs pre workout only if you find you are bonking toward the end of your workout.
@PaulRevelia thanks Paul, I feel pretty good working out that early that's really the only time I have to get it in, work then kids all evening 😅 thanks for the content
I do very intense cardio with XC mountain biking and I’m confused about how long before the workout should I actually eat to make sure I’m effective on the bike.
i would experiment but 60-90 minutes usually for me is best.
@@PaulRevelia I’ll try that. Thanks
Paul, did I miss the video where you reveliad your blood work, or haven't you done that video yet?
I have not done that video yet, i am waiting to get my follow up work done.
NOT FIRST BUT STILL Early 👍
😊😊😊
What is your own best glute exercise that gives you the most doms there?
Lunges
Paul. I love your content. I’m signed up for the contest. Question: are you going to tell us the secret to them massive cakes?
more intresting for me: not a full day of eating. maybe also a full week of eating (and training) with for example bigger meals, maybe a cheat meal a week
interesting!
did i hear correctly? he said he's 48??
Yes
I might be wrong, but I believe those bags of rice are 2 serving.
yes they are, but they also list the macros for 1 serving or the entire bag.
Minimum talking is always a good idea.
Kevin Cash on line 2...... get loose PR...
bring in the righty!
Your boy will back you up at 2B although I will have to dust off the rust because it's been awhile since college
I'm surprised Paul that Steak 🥩 should be after the leg workout it's not even going to digest well, it will be in your stomach while you hitting your legs and could cause stomach upset, protein shake or eggs much better 😐 just saying I have enjoyed listening and learning some things from you but I think 🤔 it's not best for a meal before legs
steak moves through me very quickly, i have tried many things. I have a shake first thing in the day I don't like doing more than one per day. Might not be for everyone but for me it's probably the fastest digesting food other than protein powder.
@@PaulRevelianothing wrong with a lean cut of anything...nice work with the leg day.
90 seconds in dishwasher
i don't follow.
No im not flirting, i watch your videos daily, and you always sitting down. Nice Ass paul 😮
lol, steak does not digest quickly. 2-3 hrs to exit the stomach into the colon. Best of luck to your knees while you play tennis.
knees feel great ever since I started doing some preventative work for them, always been an athlete so the body loves to move!
Get hair transplant 😂
Steak digests fast? I was under the impression it took awhile. Good to know.
steak and white rice, especially this cut which was a bit fattier goes down fast for me.
I heard the same that it took like three days to digest steak.
@@PaulReveliahow do u cook steak without it getting too dry and gamey the next day in the microwave
