Plus when digging a trench always use the bucket to clean the sides on top of the trench and it's very important to keep a level grade at the bottom

i have seen some operators lining up the spray line central with the under carriage i cannot see this working as the boom will not be direct over the spray line can you correct me thanks

The bucket / dipper can handle hitting a rock when swinging sideways. Jesus
What he should of said is the slewing ring cogs and motor that make the machine rotate 360 degrees your using the bucket sideways sweeping the material sideways and hit a rock or try to sweep too much material you can break the slew ring teeth in the undercarriage of machine.

Instead straddling the line offset the line to cab side track and adjust mirror for a clean view of the offset line on the track. 😉. Yer welcome!

If its a 4 foot deep trench it should be a min of 4 feet away !!! Not 2 foot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. If it was sloped 4 ft wide then sure. But it goes off the distant to the excavation + 2ft

Gotta agree, I rekon anyone on foot around the excavator is pretty much on their own there, they should be making positive contact with the machine, not the other way around
