You’re so real for including Maeve Fly and How to Sell a Haunted House!! I was soooo not interested in Maeve at all. Also, hard agree about the puppet aspect. It was too silly goofy, not scary at all. 😭

Oh man, I LOVED Pupkin. Lol 😅😂 The campy horror is what I love about Hendrix, and I laughed out loud more than once reading How To Sell A Haunted House! It was a five star for me, but I can totally see how it’s not for everyone.
I don’t think I can handle gross/body horror, so I haven’t picked any of those up.

The Writing Retreat was my worst book of the year. I side eye anyone who gave that waste of trees 5 stars. LOL
Loved your rants and agree with Iron Flame. I loved Fourth Wing (flaws and all)...and I was so so excited for Iron Flame and was so disappointed. I keep seeing everyone posting about their shock at the end I get FOMO. I called one of the main twists like way before, so there wasn't that shock factor for me. Such a let down 😢

I tried reading the 2nd Finlay Donovan book after finishing the 1st earlier this year & DNFed. I just couldn’t 😅 Big ouch about Iron Flame being so bad you’re taking Fourth Wing off of your favorites 😢 I just started Iron Flame & I’m so scared, especially since I’m enjoying it so far 😅😖 Oh, and I DNFed We Need to Do Something because that dad was just too much 😠

About the constant talk about farts and butts… that is literally what life with a young boy is like. 😂 And poop. No, ESPECIALLY poop. I kept a list of all the times my son mentioned poop one day and I kid you not, it was something like 30. If you live with a young boy, you will hear about farts, butts, and poop endlessly, for years on end. (I should add that it isn’t boy-exclusive; my daughter is absolutely guilty of it as well.)
All I remember about Alone With You In The Aether is the line "he filled her" being used almost incessantly. No thanks.

I didn’t like The Writing Retreat either by the end it was a 3 star. Honestly I just got so bored by the time things picked up I was over it.
I feel like I’m the only person on planet earth who loved Midnight is the Darkest Hour and also loathed The Last Housewife. Haha but I’m not upset, I love a good hater video, ESPECIALLY when I loved a lot of the books on the list ❤

"What Lies in the Woods" was boring for me as well, I read to the end, still boring. And I'm not really fond of "The Writing Retreat", find the villain annoying and didn't like the protagonist. 😂
As someone who actually enjoyed Iron Flame, all of these negative reviews have me cackling 😂 it being a dumpster fire actually makes me love it more
