I'm on a similar journey...
His coming gives me great comfort and joy!! I too have felt fear. But not for myself. For my beloved family and friends who don't believe in Christ Jesus.
I'm far more afraid of another decade of gender insanity, the slow destruction of my country and the loss of all the freedoms won by my countrymen...come Lord Jesus, Come!!!

There an intense effort to teach of his coming in the sacrament meetings and Priesthood and Relief Society meetings. I have been Emphasizing in my ministring the importance of attending church meetings, not to take it lightly by missing. What's wrong with your life that you can't give two hours per week to Jesus Christ; when he gave everything, even his life for you. You cannot repent after death.
Jesus will not be returning. We’ve destroyed God’s planet. Human life will end within 100 years due to climate change. And if he did return he’s a Jewish socialist, the most vilified of politics especially by “Christians.” So the same thing would be done to him again. Isn’t going to happen.

Don't think we are just preparing for the Savior, but we are calling for Jesus Christ to come. WE will still suffer much and accomplish much to be His people and be One. We must eject from our eyes what we love now in our society that seems so glorious. We must call Him to the Earth, build his cities and meet with the ancient Saints. WE must prepare to be RESURRECTED and to meet the Lord in the clouds.
I am going to the temple today and I am ready, i want to hear and feel his presence today. And I can't wait for the day he cometh to resurrect all. I am so excited.

Love the temple. It truly is a spiritual place. I'm glad I have a place to step back away from this world and all the clamour, and ponder my life and things from an eternal perspective to think about things the way the savior sees them. Pondering on the temple have been among my most sacred experiences.
The last time I went to the temple the worker told me it was now the refuge from the world.

I’m far from perfect and work on my soul daily. Some days for good and others day not so good. But I can honestly say I’m trying. Listening to this stirred my soul and brought peace to me. I want Christ to come back so much despite my weakness’s. The hate and turmoil in the world breaks my heart and I want every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that Jesus is the Christ.
God requires effort, and that's exactly what you are doing. We are so grateful to have our Savior help us through this mortal journey.

I am so excited about the peace the Savior will bring. When I used to think of the second coming I was told it will be all damnation, but that was when I was living with Catholic views. Now a proud Latter Day Saint with the spirit, I know he's coming with Love for all of us. I'm working hard, i'm reading my scriptures and praying and repenting

Each person is on their own Journey, but the thing you can do is stay true to your own Temple covenants. If you have a solid foundation for your own life your family will see it and it's their choice whether or not to fall back on to it and use it or to choose otherwise. God has given each of us that choice. But at least if you do your part then you will be blameless.

The only issue I’ve seen first hand is people I know personally who believe the 2nd coming is in the near future, are giving up on the here and now. Giving up on the climate, economy, their country etc. they are not worried about the present.

The time may be getting closer but we still have to see many things come to pass, critical events before the Day of the Lord, and to those that believe in a rapture well you better come out of the worldly teachings or you will be deceived by them.
Christ explains the catching up to meet him event personally in D&C 88 verses 92-110, do you not believe in and trust these words from Christ as he gave them to Joseph Smith personally?

I have a question that has troubled me for some time. How can I whi is so unworthy hope to see the Savior when he comes? I have so little to offer him. And when there are throngs of people more worthy than I pressing forward just to touch him what hope do I have to be able to be in his holy presence? When he comes there will be hundreds of millions waiting to meet him. How can one so unimportant as I have that hope?
It’s good to talking about the second coming of the lord Jesus Christ so that may remind me and others people to be prepared for that day 🙏But, the reality is nobody no when he is going to come will be better to talking about the reality of life right now how we as a people will survived in this crisis that everything is very expensive and there is so many people out there is suffering and need help especially 👶 children and disability homeless everywhere they’re waiting for mercy and support from others people and especially from the leaders of the church and doing their best to help children of god and show them unconditional love ❤️ since I listen to the leader of the church more than thirty years and most of them died and not be able to experience the day that they were talking about second coming☺️ why don’t we talking about how do we do each day to bring joy and happiness to ourselves and family and community to do what is right and and trying to live in the righteousness and do your part the best each day that is the best way we can do because we are not going to know that tomorrow we will be here on earth people are dies every day so will be lucky for us if we can live till the day that second coming but we never know what tomorrow outcome 🙏and if we survived till that day I am sure that we will stand before him with confidence and ready because we already did the best everyday🙏 I know that god love 💕 all of his children whoever you maybe and wherever you might live and he looks into your heart ♥️ and not on skin color😡 on dress or how much money you have 🙏 that the reason why he is expecting people who have more than enough to help others people with out selfishness 😡 there’s a lot of homeless people around the country and especially in Salt Lake City it’s shouldn’t be happens in the promise land and especially around the temple in downtown ☺️☺️☺️ I know that the lord himself can’t come to managing his church here on earth so he is depending on the leader of the church to manage his church and he cannot forces them to do and to have unconditional love ❤️ for his many poor children and I wondered if he comes tomorrow and all of the leaders are standing before him and the lord Jesus asking him how come his homeless and his poor children still poor and suffering how come you not helping them and the church have more than enough to help them out so I hope they have a good reason to answering his questions 🙏
As everybody knows that the lord loves poor people and people who careless from the world And because of the poor that will help the rich deserving the rewards of heaven because of their kindness and love ❤️ with unconditional love for his poor children 🙏 however the free agency that god’s gives each one of us is completely fair so I hope that people whoever you are will use free agency to save your soul instead of saved your treasure 🙏
Actually our inspired leaders teach us to be a very service-oriented people in other words to take action and help those in the community and around the world. I and those around me at church are constantly involved in efforts to do those things. We help refugees We Gather food we make hygiene kits we make blankets we help soldiers, and more. When our leaders talk about the second coming it's to help us remember that the cares of this world aren't going to last forever so we have something neat to look forward to. Im Newer to the Church, and obviously we dont Worship the Statue our new Logo is based on, but it is one of those Creepy Pasta Moments where it sort of appears as a Graven Image by definition, but in the tradition I grew up in they taught that Jesus is his Father so what do I know...What I do know is I received a witness from The Holy Ghost, and patriarchal blessings are real.
It represents Christ, who is the head of His church. Like you said, we don't worship the statue. A graven image can be anything. A car, a cell phone, a house, our body...etc. those are all false gods and idols. Having a picture of Christ is not a graven image.

I am faithful, but not enough…..I am not sure where I stand. I have needed more strength, but I often get neglected by those who should love and watch out for me. I am hoping that I will be ready. I have habits to renew, I have not done as well because of choices of others that have burdened me, or caused me to make poorer choices. I have been affected by wrongs and indifference, and neglect, and I am not as good as I could be. I am so sorry that my first choices got blocked too much, but God and Jesus know that, so I hope they will be merciful.

If you're struggling to read your scriptures I invite you to pray and ask for help from Heavenly Father to have the desire to read his word. Watch a movie about the savior. Listen to hymes. Spend your time looking to help other and applying his word.

People, read your Bible! He did return in 70 AD and took His Bride. We as Believers are the children of that marriage. If you are still waiting for His Second Coming, then you don't believe what Jesus and His disciples taught about the subject. Secular Jewish Roman historian, Josephus recorded the event back then. Anderson is mistaken.

What does that mean to “Come in the clouds of heaven”?
I think it just means that Christ will descend from above (heaven) and appear on earth.
Interesting thought. We know the heavens will be opened like a scroll. We know there is a veil over the earth.
My 9 year old daughter once remarked in the car "I know what it will be like when Jesus comes. The sky will go away, then Jesus will come, then the sky will go back."
Personally, don't think he'll be coming through "space" in the way that we think of or know of it.
Christ foretold the coming of another counselor , the Holy Spirit or the spirit of truth...and when he comes , he will oppose the world and speak against them...this world will oppose him and speak against him for they sees him not and knew him not...that is the sign how the other counselor shall be manifested to the world-the world will fight against him and only a handful shall recognize him...

Just a thought... It is said that we will be raised up in the early morning of the 3rd day...Jesus died around 33 AD right? 1 day in heaven = 1000 years on earth. 2000 +33 =2033. In 2033 it will be the beggining of the 3rd day.

There are several artists who in fact HAVE a strong feeling what Jesus looked like in mortality. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and the Resurrected Jesus Christ. Years later, Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdrey saw Jesus Christ, and a few moments Moses, Elias, and Elijah in the Kirtland Temple.

Mormons preach that Jesus is nigh on arriving. Jehovah's Witnesses preach that the system of things is coming to an end. Christendom is preaching that Armageddon is around the corner. All Abrahamic faiths are saying this, so who is right? Anyone can speak grand things about the coming, but who actually knows the truth because the Bible says no one knows the day or hour, but the father. A lot of wierd stuff happening.
No man knows the day or time, but the season, we shall know. And signs shall be given them, to watch and know the season.

Don't forget the story in the Bible about the 10 virgins and only five of them were prepared to meet the bridegroom because the other five didn't have their lamps full of oil and their wicks trimmed. Jesus said he will come like a thief in the night and so because one day to him is like a thousand years to us if these are the last days and they have been since the time of Joseph Smith then I would definitely be careful about thinking that it's not happening anytime soon. I choose to continue working on my journey, my walk with God, and improving myself and repenting. It takes the guesswork out of everything and then you don't have to care when he comes because you'll be ready anyway💞🙏🏼
Also Christ was speaking in the present tense. Before his death. No one knows the hour, but the apostles who are Prophets have declared in this generation will be the coming of the son of man.
It's not true that "nobody knows when he will come". Everybody know he will come "in the near future"! He's been due "in the near future" for over 2000 yrs" and in another 2000 yrs, He will still be coming "in the near future"!!
You might be interested to know Jesus told everyone 1st century AD that His coming was on THEIR LIFETIME.... NOT OURS!

You are wrong. They have not said the second coming was soon. Peter said Christ would return during the restitution of all things. Paul said there would be a falling away. Joseph smith said he didn't know when. This generation of apostles has said this is the generation.
I have a feeling the second coming will be very different than what people are imagining. I also don't think it will happen for a long time.

@@trishachristensen2238 I don't have a crystal ball. I just feel like it's not going to happen for a long time. I'd be surprised if anyone alive today will see it happen. Joseph Smith was saying it was right around the corner when he was alive. And a lot of people thought it was imminent. It obviously didn't happen. Regarding my statement about it being "very different than what people are imagining," I don't think it's going to be an earth-shattering event. I think it will be a subtle transition and most people won't even know it's happening. If you look at how God has operated in the past, it's very rare for him to make drastic, immediate changes. He takes his time. Change is slow and methodical. He lets us make mistakes and learn. Again, I don't have a crystal ball and ultimately, I don't have a clue when or how anything will happen. Those are just my personal beliefs.
Our time on Earth was scheduled to end by Spring 2022 at the latest. We are currently in overtime. We will still be here until the Autumn. However, it is still very possible for our time here to end within the next year. In 2019, God told me that we were about to fly away. This message was repeated to me in the last few years with increasing frequency.
