Salut Eric! - Have you watched / listened to Lara`s concert YT-videos / April 2024? WOW! What a crystalline voice she has and how she brings through it across what she has to say at contemporary stage of her life. Not only she has become life wise as a person, but also voice wise as an artist. For my taste her Ta peine-video expresses that better way as the song itself (Slimane music is for me of questionable value).

I love Slimane as an artist and I love his music. Yes, it is somehow always the same recipe, he shoyld try to renew himself, but anyway it works for me. And it brings something different to Lara.
@@ericsicard910 Thank you for your take! What I said about Slimane was particularly in regard of this song (not generally).-- One consideration generally about daily life. To get back on "right track" there is no other way as follow the "wrong path". Lara is no exception and she knows that from her private life very well as she herself admits. Ta Peine is partly about that as well. She needs somebody like W Afanasieff or I Krutoy.

Love Lara and thinks she is such a Great Artist - My favorite singer alive - However my favorite singer is Eva Cassidy and wish you would do some more of her - most notably Autumn Leaves , Danny Boy and Fields of Gold

My 2 favorite singers as well. but in the other order. I prefer Lara just because of her songwriting and languages mastery.
Both are different but share a unique ability to convey emotions and draw you into a story.
