      @@doctorlegrand The only channels where I don't rly need it are ADHD channels, especially Jessica from how to ADHD, she cuts her vids together perfectly for our brains :D Also, OMG, ONLINE COURSES YAY - I went back to uni and boy how times have changed, the platforms they use at my uni allow 2x speed up on lecture videos, and for the first time in my whole life I am able to listen to lectures!!! Before I used to just skip lectures (or sleep there, lol) and studied only from written sources (luckily I read really fast, especially in my last minute hyperfocus state - possibly thanks to the fact that I grew up pre-internet in a post soviet country where also the TV was mostly boring if you didn't have cable, so books were the main procrastination as a kid, and I SWALLOWED them in tons).

      Be careful with the dosis because although Tyrosine is labeled as 'safe', this only counts for a period of 3 months with a dosis of 68mg per pound of body weight!
      There are also side effects like headaches, heartburn, etc.

    I'm here because I was taking Wellman sport before bed and I actually felt WAAAAY better but didn't realise, I'm off my 86mg concerta dose 8 years this year, i don't medicate anymore, I just do a job I love so adhd became my strength, there's nothing like all consuming distraction (focus). Oh yeah anyway, l-tryosine came up in a podcast and it was like a lightbulb went off, "god damn, that's why I felt like I was more in control and level". I then landed here to confirm my suspicions. Fecking l-tryosine, now it's probably more the full complement of supplements and vitamins, but maybe it's simply the l-tryosine. I'll have to conduct a few test days and come back with some thoughts. I'm good at my job which is lucky but still very much adhd outside of that, The 5-9 cups of coffee mostly keep me from bouncy all around but I barely feel anything from it anymore. Anyway I'll see what it might be.

      @@LuisC7 I can't say for certain but l-tyrosine is a precursor for dopamine and I found this information out after I noticed the changes not beforehand. It made enough of a difference that I went looking for why and it led me to this, the regular Wellman tabs were like any other vitamin supplement, you don't notice anything, but the Wellman sport in particular had l-tyrosine in it and that was just one of the variable between the two and after doing some digging around it seemed to be the most likely reason behind the difference, and I'm not saying it's the most effective thing out there by any stretch, but it was a noticeable difference and some days all you need is the little bit of help.

    Hey I have a question I wondering if you could answer in your videos in regards of supplement tolerance. I've found with every supplement I have tried I develop a tolerance REALLY quickly to the point where after 2-3 days I can take triple the dose and not feel any effects. This has been the case for Tyrosine, Theanine, Ashwagandha, Ginkgo, Rhodiola, and even supplementing with fish oil and b vitamins. I get an initial boost of energy but then 2-3 days later....nothing :(

    • @orion9k
      @orion9k Před 2 lety +2

      You need to take a lot of fish oil for benefits and the benefits are not temporary, the benefits stay as long as you keep taking it.. but you need to take +1000 mg of DHA and that's alot of fish oil grams wise.
      Here is how I use Ashwagandha:
      In my pre workout smoothies combined with maca powder (1 teaspoon of each with top), I take it only Monday to Friday and then I take a break in the weekends.
      B3 Nicotinic acid (with red skin flush effect) I take between 500 mg and 1000 mg also together with my smoothies before I do workout, and sometimes 500 mg at night, if it doesn't work, take a few days break from it, like me, I don't take it in weekends, or you could also increase dose, like 1000-2000 mg of b3 but Nicotinic acid is the one that does least damage to liver, so stick to that and regarding tolerance, just keep those breaks in weekends and look forward to your next cycles of supplements 👌

    Hi my questions about L-tyrosine do they help with bad depression and anxiety, have good concentration also I read that it helps with libido and sexual problems which I get from antidepressants, I've taken some amino acids before can't remember which 1 or 2 it was years ago but they brought me out in acne all over until I stopped and made me sweat bad also gave me anxiety, I'm hoping this one don't as I've read that it does great things, I would love this to do the thing's I mentioned, I will give it ago but hoping for some reply's first, also can anyone tell me the best brand and what MG to take, with or without meals roughly what time to take it, how long you have to take it for before you notice any improvements (I know we are all different but a rough guide) and any side effects, especially if it has libido or skin issues, sweat etc I would love to hear your replies as I would love to ditch horrible antidepressant's, I live in the UK so hopefully somewhere I can buy them from in the UK so the shipping is not so bad, I do actually have some at home the brand is called Supplemented I bought them on impulse they were cheap from Amazon so I don't want to start on a brand that is maybe not great and lose interest if I don't feel much, or maybe they are a decent brand I really don't know I just get confused with it all, can you take it for as long as you like?
    Thanks for your time,
