I'm here because I was taking Wellman sport before bed and I actually felt WAAAAY better but didn't realise, I'm off my 86mg concerta dose 8 years this year, i don't medicate anymore, I just do a job I love so adhd became my strength, there's nothing like all consuming distraction (focus). Oh yeah anyway, l-tryosine came up in a podcast and it was like a lightbulb went off, "god damn, that's why I felt like I was more in control and level". I then landed here to confirm my suspicions. Fecking l-tryosine, now it's probably more the full complement of supplements and vitamins, but maybe it's simply the l-tryosine. I'll have to conduct a few test days and come back with some thoughts. I'm good at my job which is lucky but still very much adhd outside of that, The 5-9 cups of coffee mostly keep me from bouncy all around but I barely feel anything from it anymore. Anyway I'll see what it might be.

Hey I have a question I wondering if you could answer in your videos in regards of supplement tolerance. I've found with every supplement I have tried I develop a tolerance REALLY quickly to the point where after 2-3 days I can take triple the dose and not feel any effects. This has been the case for Tyrosine, Theanine, Ashwagandha, Ginkgo, Rhodiola, and even supplementing with fish oil and b vitamins. I get an initial boost of energy but then 2-3 days later....nothing :(
You need to take a lot of fish oil for benefits and the benefits are not temporary, the benefits stay as long as you keep taking it.. but you need to take +1000 mg of DHA and that's alot of fish oil grams wise. Here is how I use Ashwagandha: In my pre workout smoothies combined with maca powder (1 teaspoon of each with top), I take it only Monday to Friday and then I take a break in the weekends. B3 Nicotinic acid (with red skin flush effect) I take between 500 mg and 1000 mg also together with my smoothies before I do workout, and sometimes 500 mg at night, if it doesn't work, take a few days break from it, like me, I don't take it in weekends, or you could also increase dose, like 1000-2000 mg of b3 but Nicotinic acid is the one that does least damage to liver, so stick to that and regarding tolerance, just keep those breaks in weekends and look forward to your next cycles of supplements 👌
Hello Doctor..I suffer from anxiety and tension when I face a problem. My body trembles, my heartbeat increases, and I feel difficult to speak. . I tried beta-blockers and my condition improved a lot..but I suffer from bronchiectasis and phlegm, which negatively affected my health..Are there nutritional supplements or herbs that work like beta-blockers?

Not a doctor. But I’d assume based on the video it would be best to take L-Tyrosine. Stress inhibits the conversion of Phenylalanine so taking it when stressed I’d assume wouldn’t help too too much.
Hey Dr LeGrand, on the topic of sugar and sugar alternatives, what are you thoughts on Stevia? I haven't fully dived into them yet but I wanted to know what your thoughts on them.
Why does taking Tyrosine feel like taking Valium? It fully sedates me. Is there something wrong with my brain as it should be giving me energy and other benefits but I am way too mellow but not drowsy. Even my face feels relaxed. I cannot find any info on google of anyone experiencing this effect. It also is instant within 15-30 minutes. I have only taken the smallest amount too amybe 50-100mg at a guess. Maybe your dopamine levels are so deprived that even the small amounts of dopamine cause euphoria. I've also heard that stimulants like amphetamines actually calm down people with ADHD and thus low dopamine levels.
