  • The Huben K1 .25 caliber, sent to us from New England Airgun (www.newengland...), continues to impress me. Its build quality, versatility, and accuracy are some of the best that I’ve had the pleasure to shoot in the airgun world. In this video we’ll be shooting JSB Pellets and Slugs at 50 yards as we continue our learning process with the Huben K1 .25 Caliber.

    I would need to see this in the field before I even attempted to purchase it I don’t think too many air guns come close to my wildcat 30 for the price point Foot pounds accuracy Light weight build quality of course you can get a day state for 800 more Today’s economy I’m in no rush it would be nice to add to my collection I’m sticking with what I have until I’m convinced there’s something better out there Just my opinion that’s what it’s all about what works for you Seen the groundhog today for about 30 seconds I don’t think it will last the summer Already did damage to my barn the last thing is my crops sometimes we need to manage the environment like the times were in thank you for the review

    I found that if seat the pellets ( push them in till you feel a lite click, using 33.95 MK2 and I think 47 grain varmit knockers for slugs my Huben k1 .25 shot like a Lazer.

    excelent video, very honest review of this gun, I own the same gun, and I get about the same results with the knockouts. Some other videos get better results, but you never know if they are sponsored or experts shooters. My gun requieres a lot of mainteinance, some springs and orings wear out quick.

    The bores on the Hubens are oversized. Diablo pellets are so forgiving you can shoot decent groups in spite of them being too small for the bore, but you can't get away with that with slugs. you have to get 253 slugs or 254 and snap them in the clip even better. Hubens will shoot under an inch @100 yards all day long with the proper size slug. .253 AVS or ZAN are slugs are the best option currently available.

    • @asherr5966
      @asherr5966 Před 2 lety

      .254 AVS worked much better for me than .253 Zan, although the zan ones were still better than some smaller diameter slugs. I agree wider diameter is better. I even had some jams with some .250 NSA slugs I tried because they can slide back and forward in the mag. When I first got it some slugs were so terrible, I'm talking 6 inch "groups" that look more like buckshot pattern, from a bench, at a mere 25 yards. When I finally tried the AVS .254 48 grain flat bases, that made all the difference. Getting a swage die made in that diameter so I can make my own

    JSB slugs in .25 absolutely blow!! But if you insist on shooting them, they like to be around 920fps and lower.
    Oddly, in .22 cal it’s the complete opposite! They are amazing at low and high speeds.
    Go get some avs slugs, the huben loves them.

  • @AirVelocitySport

    Hey Rick, the AVS .254 42 grain Flat base are very accurate out to 100 yards and beyond. I shot 3 MOA groups at 100 and 5 1.25 inch groups at 100 yards and I'm not that good of a shooter.

      I just discovered the .254 42 grain last week and the good old airgun boys shot .275 CTC group at 50 yards and then 350 yards balloons. I ll get you some 254 42 grain flat base to try out.

    I bought a huben 22, but I can't find the complete procedure to reduce the nanometer, is it enough to turn the screw under the cross counterclockwise?
    No need to empty the rifle or something?

    Don't you even know if barrel is choked for pellets or not?? Kinda important.
    Might be why slugs not grouping.
    Also guessing slugs need more speed.

  • @amazingairguns6350
    @amazingairguns6350 Před 2 lety

    Here’s a fact Rick with an under choked barrel. Longer slugs are usually better. And a harder mix of lead is also better. That doesn’t mean that that Gun can’t shoot soft lead great because I’ve seen HNSlugs shoot a quarter inch group at 100 yards and you can’t shoot a 1 inch group at 50. Give it up that’s why you have no views on CZcams you don’t know anything. And as far as American Airgun are goes that show is a joke the minute I saw you up there I laughed my ass off

    • @asherr5966

      Can confirm huben likes long slugs. On both my .22 and .25 I shoot slugs that completely fill the magazine chamber.

    The magazine being permanent is just too much a safety hazard for this gun. Having to look down the barrel to check the reg. Man, bad safety designs all around on this gun.

    • @asherr5966
      @asherr5966 Před 2 lety +1

      Reg is on the side. End of gun is main tank pressure. Not a great design but not a deal breaker for me. Many airguns share this design for some reason. I don't find the mag to be any more dangerous than a single action revolver would be.

    You should not be reviewing anything if you do not have this smart enough to work with every different gun that you review to see how it shoots the best you should not be doing this. I don’t watch you because you have zero knowledge. It’s guys like you that confuse consumers because of your own lack of capabilities
