      How i get 550+ on a single fill up.
      (Read below) on 2020 Rav4 Hybrid (Gas tank Defective)
      1. Wait tell your trip monitor says 30 miles left
      2. When you go to fill up YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE NOZZLE 1/2 inch maybe 1 inch away from the mouth of the tank.
      3. Then continue to pump tell it says 14 gallons only! Do not go over 14 gallons. Your tank is 14.5 you need the buffer room.
      4. You should get about 540 to 560 on your trip monitor.
      5. Do not use your gas gauge as a measuring tool. Only use the trip monitor.
      6. Supposedly Toyota has a new prototype gas tank they been testing and it "sometimes" works. Lol. Cross your fingers people

    Love your channel Jeff but one of the things that gets me about sales guys is the way some of them put spin on things. The TRD off road is basically a glorified adventure model as the adventure already has multi terrain select, hill descent control, tows 3500 lbs, 8.6 inches of ground clearance, etc. The differences are mostly cosmetic (wheels and tires) and a slightly more stiff suspension (so they say). Just felt the need to point that out to people who may not know in order to help them make an informed purchasing decision. Not throwing shade at your channel though, actually think you’re one of the best Toyota review channels. Have a great day✌🏽(oh, have you guys heard of any clanking issues with the dynamic torque vectoring system on the adventure? You hear an audible clank, clank, clank when you’re slowing down to a stop (heard at around 18-20 mph as vehicle slows from at least 30 mph and windows have to be down, and you have to be in a relatively quiet neighborhood).

    I’ve had my 2019 for 1.5 months. 2500 miles on my XSE Hybrid. I love this car and there are a few things Toyota could’ve done better, but none are deal breakers. The issue with the gas tank sensor is weird, but easily bypassed by just pumping the last 2 gallons slower. I’m consistently getting 37 mpg combined. That’s pretty damn good!!!. The dealers need to sharpen up on those plastic inserts that come uninstalled. They should know their stuff. I wish the driver and passenger front seats had auto controls and memory recall....that should be standard. Overall..very happy with my new RAV 4 XSE Hybrid.

    • @tpolerex7282
      @tpolerex7282 Před 4 lety +2

      Mark Kunzman can you say clunky? Apparently there is a ongoing battle with many dealers professing ignorance to the TSB which customers know about after experiencing problems with the transmission, researching it out and naturally seeking a satisfactory fix.

    • @ro0ster648
      @ro0ster648 Před 4 lety +7

      Why not just get the hybrid model to avoid the 8 speed if u are concerned about it, it is better in almost every way. The 8 speed is designed that way with the torque converter, no software is going to fix it. The TSB doesn't do anything, it is just for show. The 8 speed will shift smoother the longer u own the vehicle though. After about a year of ownership, it should shift smoothly.

      I’m not going to pay an extra $2000 or so to avoid a transmission problem. Our driving conditions don’t warrant a hybrid, It would be too many years to recoup the extra money paid. I’ll just wait for a design change or fix. In the mean time, I’ll just keep driving the car I have.

      @@Jarut Jarut5640 $800 difference in MSRP only, average sale price difference between the hybrid and gas model is a lot more since hybrids receive significantly less discounts. Still totally worth it though.
