Hey William Great Vid, Love it when you leave all your "I'll call them Bloopers" in the video, anyways I once had a saw that wouldn't pick up oil so my fix was to prime the system through the pick-up end with an marinade injector, solved the issue and was simple as all get out. I also I have one of these little 2500 top handles but not the JonCutter brand mine is unbranded and came off EBay in mid 2019 for around the same cost as yours and looks identical. Mine came with a 10" bar & chain which is more than adequate enough for trimming. Take it with me everytime I go cutting just a sweet little saw for what it is .
Nice useful vid for what it is; picked up a few pointers to use when mine arrives - just ordered it two days ago. Too bad about the wind and traffic noise and bouncy camera spot - garage bench would have been ideal. I have used a trusty Stihl MS192T for years; I hope the JonC will last a while and be lighter. Incidentally, I highly recommend the Pferd sharpening device for chain. It will pay for itself in cutting efficiency and reducing or even eliminating the need to have my saw store sharpen my 20 chains.
I am a compulsive reader of Amazon product reviews and have ordered hundreds of items. I just went back and reviewed the Pferd CS-X reviews. One version is very nearly a perfect “five” from 441 reviewers - almost unheard of. I recall one review from an earlier reading, written by someone who had a long experience with many types of hand and motorized sharpening systems. His ultimate advice - JUST BUY IT - was persuasive, and led to my first purchase. A professional sharpener like yourself can get sterling results, which is what professionals do, but I will try any sort of training wheels to keep my bike off the ground. I have done my share of Sheetrock work, and, believe me, the pros make it look effortless. It ain’t, and I will use any sort of cheat I can to get excellent results. The CS-X is kinda like my Mitutoyo digital micrometer - I was never very good with the manual style - but the result is the same, maybe better, when it comes to ultra-precision work.
Hello friends, the scale on the fuel/oil mixing bottle does’nt make sense to me, let’s say i want to make a 50:1 mix, to what level will you get the gas at, before putting the oil? Thanks!

Hopefully I'm gonna climb with it today!
@hang the dj it's really good with the Husqvarna X cut bar and the micro chain vs the 3/8 thumper chain I came with.
@hang the dj I did a video on the better bar and chain combo...
I had the same problem with my 2500 from WISH got it in 4 days. The chain brake is just tight. and required a little faith and some real pull.

😂😂😂 I professionally sharpen chains for a living. If I could offer some advice, stay away from the "training wheels".
Go to my channel and search through the videos. There are a couple sharpening videos in there with some geometry lessons.... Stay safe out there.

My JC G2500 doesn’t oil a lot even set at the highest setting but it does use a half a tank for each tank of gas.
Seems to be the biggest inconsistency in these saws. Mine actually over oils. I should turn it down, but I don't use it enough to make a difference.
Reminds me when i wanted a bb gun . They said " youll shoot your eye out "

Put oil first , then gas and shake vigourously for 10 seconds
The oil I buy has lines for different mixtures per 1 gallon of gas. 30:1, 40:1, 50:1. I use a separate gas can.
What website did you buy from?
m.farmertec.com/
Oh! And I about jumped out of my skin when you held the box flap with one bare hand and the saw was inches away! It’s not worth it!
