We have exact same one. Few years old. But noticing it sometimes won’t move, yea gotta give it a nudge to get it moving. I’ve put new batteries in it. And still randomly does it. What do u think I should try next, we checked all connections. I’m thinking ignition key or the forward reverse switch in the dash.

Most the time its the throttle Pod that goes and that is why the unit doesnt respond

This has no issues with fairly steep inclines.. I ride mine daily up a steep hill.
