dude this is a random comment at best, but your content is one of the few channels that I dont have to FF thru the first 1-3 minutes to get to info that relevant. Sooo many channels push content where the first 20% of vid is pure fluff & waste viewers time begging for subs/likes etc. it gets soo old scrubbing thru vids trying to find the 90 sec of viable info, F***ing thank you for getting straight to the point ✅
Try lowering sharpening and noise reduction to -2 (minimum). That got rid entirely of the smearing, grain and smudges in shadows and also improved actual detail and texture and makes the footage basically look like from a way more expensive DSLM or cinema camera even.
yea i found that after shooting on 0 on sharpness for like 5 months...looks more real to life at -2 when the pixels aren't over tight looking. i remember when the mini 3p never had that option to reduce noise and sharpening until that firmware release in spring
You want to shoot as "flat" as possible. Look at full legit cinema cameras. What comes out looks awful, but that's so there's the maximum amount of latitude for adjustment in post. You don't want highlights nor colours clipping. The SOOC footage from the 3 looked WAY better from and editing perspective.
@@GetUrOwnHandle saw Philip bloom do a video on this very subject…The 4 sharpening isnt as extreme as the 3 so can get away with just -1, but still best to put it in -2 so it isnt baked into the footage and more hassle to remove if u dont like it. He was the one that got dji to add the reduction option in the 3
@@denaco yeah I saw that now too. DJI are getting better with their image processing. The differences are less extreme than on the M3P. But yes the less processing, the better the details. He also pushed them to bring back tripod mode.. Excellent man!

I'm honestly very amazed at how far DJI has come with the Mini series, since the release of the Mavic Mini in 2019 we've now got a drone that's literally as good as many current drones, props out to DJI and your review Alex 👏

Mavic 3 is gone now also Autel and others have fallen so far behind they all want to serve the "enterprise" market (and rumors say they are all afraid of impending increasing regulations)... I mean the Nano was pretty special I still shoot with it but the 3 pro was just that much better at the time. DJI has done fairly well with innovation for a barely competition market.

Love the humor and straight to the point in your vids! Bought Mini 3 pro beginning spring last year but didn't use much because of confusing and convoluted rules in Japan and bought it with that remote using phone which is ok since I'm just recently started using it more often now that I understand it here a bit more. Now I'm eyeing with Air3S (whenever is officially gets announced) and then Mini 5 pro I guess to get a bigger jump from the 3. But I'm surprised about the 4 pro quality of life and other improvements to the camera and sensors.

Thanks for the straightforward review and hitting the critical point directly - video quality difference. I just pulled the trigger and getting my eBay account ready for my Mini 3 Pro.
I love the mini 3 pro and the convenience of the controller with the built in screen. But the downside of that is that you can't use any third party apps like Litchi when they come along nor can you attach a set of standard VR goggles and fly FPV for cheap (also needing 3rd party apps).

I'm about to pull the trigger on that 4 pro, but I have ONE crucial question : Would you still prefer the newer RC2 over the "no screen" controller if instead of a phone, you'd put a 7' tablet ? The newer has "range" and ease of use. The former with a tablet has better visibility and you can have people picking over your shoulder in cases of "inspections" for instances... I'm torn... send help.

SKIP IT! not worth it if you have the 3 already. I do like that home drop icon bring it to the Mini 3. Some of those mini 4 shots look over-sharpened.
