I got this iPhone XS Max on Gold, 2 Months after it came out. Till that moment, even if I upgraded the phones, I still go back to this iPhone. To me, this is a very special iPhone. It was the first one to come out with a full screen and no Touch ID, but Face ID. To me, this is the best iPhone that Apple came out with, due to its display strength, lack of scratches and look. In December, this iPhone will turn 6 years old and it's still performing as well as it did the moment I got it. I might be exaggerating, but this is a classic one.
I will honestly encourage the Apple lovers with limited budget to buy this iPhone in 2024. Even if it's 5 to 6 years old, it's definitely worth buying it. We have to stop looking at the newest versions of technology. Some people have to stop laughing at people who still own old iPhones or any other product. If it's good, and performs well, why not keep it? ❤
The performance discussion of mobiles always puzzles me a bit. Nobody is doing heavy duty professional tasks on a phone, unless it’s gaming. So it boils down really to app support and speed, and honestly does half a second here or there really matter. I use a Pixel 2 for my phone, because the camera is surprisingly good, and it’s sufficient for emails, browsing, WhatsApp, calls, music. Screen is small, but if you want a big screen you might as well get a an iPad. Even the biggest phone screen is never going to compete with an iPad.
Watching this on my old silver Xs max 64GB! I use it for music and videos whole I’m cleaning, jogging. I don’t trust myself with my iPhone 14pm , especially outside.😅
I recommend a otter box case and a screen protector on it
I’m gonna use mine as a running phone, and a webcam using Camo. It uses the depth sensors in the camera for some cool AR and masking effects

Not anymore. You need 14 Pro Max or 15 Pro Max if you want that today. It is still a great phone tho
I’m using a 13 pro max on 15.7.1 (the 13 pro max launched with iOS 15 and 15.7.1 was the last available version the 13PM was able to get)
And it is BLAZING fast even today
Not gonna update the iOS on it - the next time I update the iOS will be simply be by purchasing a new phone
Although with how good my 13PM still runs that won’t be for a while…
The 13PM definitely holds its own against the 14PM and 15PM also as the battery was so ludicrously good for the time
@@jbryan985I’m fairly sure the 13 pro max still runs the latest IOS which is 17.4 its not that old a phone.

Finally upgrading my Xs Max to the 13 Pro. It kinda chugs on iOS 17, and the battery life isn’t all that great even after a replacement. I’m looking forward to the higher refresh rate, the cameras, the battery life, and the future software support. Got both of them used in Mint condition for $600 cash (the Xs many years ago ofc)
i got a brand new apple watch series 3 for 100 dollars with 100% battery life in 2024 and i love it. I don't use any apps on it so its perfect

The XS Max was/is one of my favorites! The space grey version with 512 GB looked so clean and elegant! It served me well and I keep it in my collection. iOS 17 will be it’s last version, but that’s fine! 👍🏻

What happens when you don’t update your iphone
I use my xs max 256gb daily recently replaced screen & it feels like new. Warzone mobile even runs great. I won’t upgrade until iOS stops the support. Battery is my only concern. Even at 79% on the health I still get ok time usage. But, fast charge fixes that problem. 30min & I’m ready to go.

i had this phone for 2 years then upgraded to the iPhone 12 pro max, then the 13 pro max, now i have the 15 pro max.. i gave my xs max to my mom, and it s still a powerful phone, and it's more than enough for her, she literally only uses it for phone calls lol

@AdliFC not anymore i got a new one went to t-mobile they had a promotion for the new iPhone 15 pro max with trade in got that my iPhone 15 pro max is 10x better than the iPhone xs max its not worth buying it won't get anymore ios updates plus t-mobile is doing a free iPhone 13 when you switch

I still love this phone, and just put a new battery in mine. It's not my everyday phone, I actually use an S24 Ultra but love that I can still indulge with iOS on what has always been a beautiful display

feels bad now, only had 180 bux to spend on a phone, so xs max was the best i could get, that was new condition and 100% battery health for it.

Yo can i ask how is your battery life on a normal use like social media , watching netflix , instagran , youtube , etc. And how is the latest update going for you ? Does it lag or have any issues like heating or any other bugs ?
@@silox73 first of all heating is normal for xs max hahahaha. My iOS currently at 17.2.1 the only lag is when im gaming. Usually im experience lagging when gaming. For social media definitely not lag at all cause they use lower consumption. I use extra fan cooling when gaming. You can feel the heat around the camera
@@silox73 short simple social media apps are not the big issue for my iOS update the only issue is games nowadays need more graphic and some game are not safe for xs max as it can damage the phone. Prefer playing a lite game

xs max was my fav phone, i upgraded to regular 13 but i regret it, xs max was the best in every way, except the battery life in my case
I just swapped my android to xs max today...I know it's kinda old but it runs perfectly fine and I got the 256GB so it will run for a long time for my usage.
I came from the iPhone 11 before I switched to android and came back to the iPhone after 4 months.

@@mar114 The iPhone obviously. Apps are more optimized and stable on iOS. Meanwhile on Android, some of them are buggy like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

@@anci4042 Yes! It's still as fast as nowadays android midranges. The only downside is battery but if you replace it with Apple, it would last a day.

Iwould recommend you the Xs Max but the iPhone 11 price nowadays is around the Xs Max too but with decent condition but it performs much better.

I got it for £160 reconditioned but my nokia 5.3 beats it in certain ways like split screen and battery both are good

Commenting using my iphone xsmax which I purchased in 2018. My only issue is, it doesn’t support 5G technology. An upgrade of internet technology but the phone hardware can’t support it anymore
As long as you don't update the iOS you should be good (Apple purposely makes the older phones run slower so you have to upgrade)

I’m just saying that I’m VOLUNTARILY choosing not to update my 13 PM beyond iOS 15 as it runs so well with iOS 15. Battery life (and performance) on the 13 PM is worse on later iOS versions

It’s not worth it anymore😂 i’m xs max user but there’s a hidden issues after recent updates. It will turn off automatically once you charge it. You need to play music in the background so the phone won’t turn off completely while on idle 😂
Nah that’s a you problem, I also have a XS Max (256GB), smooth & quick for its age, it’s probably a memory or battery capacity/health issue
Mine XS I bought in 2018 I’m still using as my daily phone and it works fine with updates never turns off.
Sounds like a hardware problem… Might even be your battery.

Because even if I upgrade, the camera system on this thing is still amazing. As a CZcamsr, It'll be nice to have two devices that can record.
