  • White Toner Webinar From 5 - 2019 from a while back that I did when I was on the sales team.
    In this video, I briefly cover each of the White toner systems that USCutter offered at the time.
    The iColor 550 and iColor 600 are the UniNet printers shown as well as both the Classic rip software as well as the Pro-Rip Software.
    The process with using the Ghost white toner is pretty much the same for any printer it works with, but I have examples with the M452DW printer in this video and use our Vinyl Master software to create and adjust the white underfilling layer of the image.

    hi Josh, I am a new newbie in this. I've been watching David over at Ghost for months and finally purchased my little ghost, heat press & mug press. Well, what I thought was gonna happen is not happening. By the way his videos are, I thought I was coming in, plugging in & printing!! Ummm not. But at this moment, I need to know what settings to put my mug press on but I can't find it anywhere, or I'm looking for the wrong thing. I have the white toner (not sublimation) a white ceramic mug, and I want to print it. What are the settings for this please?? Heat setting & time. thanx so much...Wendy

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 3 lety +1

      It really depends on what type of paper you are using. I have not had time to make a video on the Versa Sheen hard surface paper that just came out a few months ago, but it works great with Ghost and also leaves a nice gloss finish over the mug. It is now my favorite hard surface paper to use with laser transfer.

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 3 lety +1

      You are just melting the toner onto the face of the mug so it won't have the same durability as sublimation. VersaSheen hard surface papers will give you the longest lasting results on ceramics and metals because the release liner acts as a protective coating that increases the durability of the transfer.

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 4 lety +1

      When you are using laser toner transfer paper for hard surfaces we are just baking the toner on the top of the mug. If you are using the Paropy Hard surface you can put the mug in the oven for a bit at 400°f to bake it and increase the durability. My Nazzcar mug I didn't use the VLR on from the other hard surface video earlier this year is still going strong at 9 months later and 30+ washes.

    Such a way as in your webinar to glue two sheets of multi trans forever and a simple sheet together, my printer does not want to re-print multi trans paper, even with gluing the second sheet from the bottom

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 3 lety

      Multi Trans is a very waxy paper. If you are looking to do hard surface transfers with the Ghost toner you are going to need a paper that won't curl as much and isn't covered in a waxy release liner that will jam your printer. Versa-Sheen or Paropy Hard surface. Versa-sheen is my new #1 for toner hard surface transfers.

      The Ghost white toner system is the most cost-effective, but has a steeper learning curve because you have to work around the limitations of the two-pass print for CMYK&WH and no product specific software. I tell everyone who is looking to purchase something for their business to look at the UniNet iColor printers if they are going to get something for their business. That is a machine that has been designed from the ground up to print white toner and comes with software and everything needed to make it easier to start profiting with.

    Great video and thanks for sharing!
    Just thought I’d share some personal experience with using a ghost printer and forever multi-trans paper. Multi trans paper has not yet given me any issues with jamming because the paper is too waxy?!
    However, I cannot comment on the performance of papory paper but it seems there isn’t only a single solution transfer paper on the market. Again, great video and no disrespect for sharing your process with us.

      FOREVER MULTI TRANS PAPER*

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 4 lety +1

      @@kieranrmartin That is great to hear! What type of printer are you using? I can get a single pass design through without issue, my trouble comes when I have to run the FMT through for the second time on a CMYK and WH image when using the M452DW, 452DN, CP5225, and M254DW. The waxy film of the paper combined with the curling from the first run through made it impossible for me to get a transfer through more than a 3rd of the way through before it would jam. I was able to find a work around taping it to a sheet of construction paper to hold it flat, but I was still having jams. I do still have to use this method with the Paropy Hard surface for CMYK & WH images with ghost, but in my experience it has a much higher success rate with these cheap printers than the FMT.

    i always get bad pixelation around the edges of every image i print, would the software im using have anything to do with this. all the designs are high quality (pixel size whys) most of the items we print the design comes from the client or a company thy hired to make the image.

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 4 lety

      The picture can be high resolution and still be blurry or pixelated if it wasn't resized correctly. You may want to start requesting a specific file type like a vector image or something that will allow you to resize the image with ease.

    • @JoshsCorner
      @JoshsCorner  Před 4 lety +1

      If you are using the Ghost printers you will want to use the Paropy Hard surface paper. The Forever Multi-Trans is also great, but it is too waxy and will jam up inside the cheap HP printers.
