Nice to see you back! I've missed your videos. School hasn't gone back yet in NZ but we have started a slow start back into our homeschooling rhythm and it has felt so good for all of us. Really gentle with lots of adventure and outdoor time, we have chosen something we are all interested in to focus on together and are reading lots and snuggling up with snacks to watch related programes (always the preferred way of learning in this house so the perfect motivator!), dabbling in a bit of light creative writing, nature journaling and setting up some structure with our morning circle and morning basket time.. Something we always come back to throughout the year during all the ebb and flow. Having tried a looser 'unschoolery' approach toward the end of last year we have come to a place now in our journey where we know we do best with some routine and structure to our days. Also finding that balance between child led learning and setting some expectations around giving effort and doing things that might feel a bit like hard work to grow and learn new and wonderful things.

Your homeschool sounds wonderful Danielle ❤️ I can very much relate, we need a routine to anchor our day in our homeschool. X

We started slowly this year and found we had to change things up from last year even though we hadn’t planed these changes!!! It was easier to see we needed to change things up!!! I haven’t thought of using a habit tracker for homeschool!!! We love eating while studying!!! My older kids love to sleep in and we do family subjects after lunch!!! I do one to one time with my youngest!!! I love to keep Organised and so do my kids!!! My older daughter started organising her toys at 2!!!

That is so wonderful! It feel less intense when changes are needed and we are moving slowly, it definitely helps. Sounds like you have the most wonderful rhythm to your day! Thank you for sharing!
