Any comments in my videos on pet care are simply my own opinions based on my own experiences and knowledge. If you are having questions about pet care, please seek a reliable source or talk to a veterinarian.
â What do I feed my guinea pigs?
I feed my piggies oxbow adult pellets, 2nd cutting timothy hay from small pet select, and a variety of vegetables. I feed sweet peppers every day and rotate romaine lettuce, red and green leaf lettuce, cilantro, and parsley. I feed the occasional carrot, cucumber, and strawberry. I also supplement with oxbow vitamin c supplements and oxbow digestive support.
â Where did I adopt my guinea pigs from?
Peanut and Marshmallow came from Petco, and Pepper was adopted from the Frau Holle Guinea Pig Rescue in South Carolina. I got Honey from her previous owner who was rehoming her, and I found her listing on guineapigfinder.com. If you are looking to adopt a guinea pig, I recommend a rescue or a locally owned pet store, as guinea pigs there are often more well taken care of and kept in more suitable habitats. Some chain pet stores receive their pets from unethical breeders, and they may even have illnesses when you adopt them. Marshmallow had a respiratory infection when I adopted her from Petco, and I had to return her in order to get her free vet care.

Hey everyone! My cage was the 5th cage! Thank you to Autumn for reviewing my cage and thank you to everyone else who said that I should be covering the ramp with fleece and coroplast! I do have a covering for the ramps, it was just in the wash while I was taking these pictures.
But yes, that's very important to cover any ramps, grids etc so you don't have to deal with bumble foot, vet trips, and spending money!
Thank you again to everyone that mentioned it! It is very important for anyone else who's piggies are living on grids to see the constructive criticisms!
Thank you for taking it so well! I was hoping I didnât upset you by mentioning it. Iâve just seen on one of my Facebook groups the affects of bumble foot, and it must be so painful for them! :)
Okay I am so glad you are covering that ramp because I got worried but otherwise great job on your cage and your piggies are so cute!!!
I just sent an email about my Guinea pigs enclosure so hopefully it can be in the next video đ
Ur Ginnys are so cute
Since she said it was hard to bond just 3 males Iâd love to put out Iâm a 16 year old that bonded 4 malesđ all together đ
Good jobb
How did you do that? when I do them all together. Then there are only bad fights againđ I have 3 pretty calm guinea pigs, and the other 3 are super dominant. I had to make a 2x2x2 group. so that there are no injuries...
Hey Autumn! Thanks for reviewing my cage! (cage 2). Everybody was saying the ramp looked steep but my boys never had trouble going up it haha. I did end up making the cage completely vertical though so that they can just run through it all without any tall ramps!
@@LittleKingdom3 thank you!!
No problem!! Glad your boys like the ramp!! :)
Iâm suuuuuuper excited for this!!
Omg number 3 is so cute!! I love how colourful it is!!inspiration
You know, I was looking at your haul video last week, and I've bought some items from the same shop you bought your teepee beds from, it's a really nice shop! Just wanted to share a shop I've found over the past few weeks. It's called my 3 guinea pigs, and she posts short videos sometimes on CZcams, she sells beautiful little pillows to decorate cages, bell peppers, some different fruits and vegetables, they're super soft and cuddly, and make the cage look great, and reasonably priced too! They're great for themes, and this seller had an unfortunate accident which left her and her son disabled, and she has guinea pigs to help with depression, and decided to open a shop to help support herself and her son! She's such a courageous woman, can you please mention her shop in a video? You can go to Etsy or Instagram to see her merchandise. Thank you! Love the channel!
@Alyssa Brewer Her shop is called Mythreeguineapigs, and it's on Etsy. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for sharing this I will def check out her shop!
@@autumngrace. Thank you so much, I remember you said you were going to do a strawberry themed cage, I'm sure she can help with that! Can't wait to see it!

Awesome video autumn I love all of the nice tips you gave everyone! I hope to see my cage in a future one!âșïž everyones cages looked beautiful!! Also a tip for the people with lofts: putting a blanket over the top is an easy way to make a hide and my piggies love it!!đđ

Hey!!! So excited you reviewed my cage!! I'm the owner of the three boys for Cage #1 đ
I have since updated and added a bigger litter/hay area for them and regularly buy them willow balls and other toys for them to push around, they just seem to have more fun moving their houses around đ€Łđ€Ł
Thanks for the review! We love your channel!!
That is awesome! Thanks for sending in your cage!! Mine love pushing their houses too lol!
@Julia Desroches yes I'll try that out thank you!! đđ

Youâre cage was sooo cute! How did you do the wood border? It made such a huge difference!
Hello Iâm a super fan!!! I just wanted to help you out with the cow print fleece, I have mine from kavee itâs a worldwide shipping side, and the fleece from there has worked out perfectly!!! :)
Thank you!
Early!!
I'm late but I'm a new subscriber, I have one male he absolutly hates every guinea pig I have introduced him to. I even tryed a spayed female from the shelter we took him up there to bond but he literally was so aggressive so hes a loner. We actually have a spare room so I have a bunch of fleece tunnels and lots of stuff in there for him. He has a complete decked out room does have a cage it's a huge c and so he can go in and sleep wha th ever he wants to do. Hes very spoiled I got him from the pet store before I knew that's bad so no hate comments please. I have had him for 4 years hes such an awesome addition to our family.
Mabey try getting him a bar buddy
Uhm if the girl who owns cage #2 is reading these comments .. DID YOU STEAL MY GUINEA PIG? đđ we have twins
I gave you the 10th like
@@guineapig7317 Thank you! Do you have piggies?:)
Lol there all so cute mine looks like hers but hes not fuzzy like him.
@@alainasmithyb no I wish Iâm trying to get some my parents think they look like rats đą
Hey autumn Tysm for reviewing my cage! Iâm Louise and I actually have a water bowl for him itâs kinda hidden tho âșïž I would also like to mention I have tried bonding him before with another piggy but he was scared and they couldnât get along maybe in the future I will try bonding him with a younger pig âșïžâșïž
If you have one in your area try going to a rescue that will help you bond them!
Ok thanks for letting me know!! Also being scared is completely normal in the bonding process and you should only separate if they are overly aggressive and blood is drawn!
First!
Iâm hoping to submit my cage soon!! Iâd love to see it in one of your videos as I really look up to you!
Aww thank you so much youâre too sweet! â„ïžâ„ïž

In cage two the brown guinea pig looks like mine called arthur
Hey đ I am a new subscriber and absolutely love your channel. I recently adopted two guinea pigs đ„ș arenât they just the best? đœ
my guinea pigs are also named Coco and Ginger
Wow ur really underrated
My piggies cage isnât ready waiting on some liners I will send soon
Great video! I am going to send my piggies cage in soon! Do you have any certain toy recommendations though? I have trouble finding ones that my piggies actually use. Thanks!
My pigs really like the niteangel forage ball once they figured out how to use it! I started using it with the hole all the way open and rolled it around to show them. I put pellets in forage inside of it. If they don't really use too many toys you could also feed them their veggies and forages by mixing it into their hay for enrichment! Mine also like willow balls and hay/rye rings
@@autumngrace. Okay thank you so much!
Heyy
#7 cages hay rack in the loft is hard to eat hay from and is dangerous (a lot of people has said this in other videos so i am quite sure that this is true) :D
I have an issue with my fleece where my water bottles are! The poops are getting smashed into the fleece because of them peeing by their water and its impossible to get out of the fleece!
Try going to the dollar tree, they have these dish mats that work great as extra padding on top of fleece and only. Dollar i think that would solve the issue get atleast 2 so u can change them out and wash them often!:) i put one under each hide and under the water bottles
hehe hi again!!! i was wondering... my cages base is all paper bedding because i find it soaks up there pee and poo so they dont step in it. theyre outdoor section has a blanket down. should i switch the inside to something different? or do you hav any good reccomendations and if so why are they good and also the ros and cons of them? also yet ANOTHER question! how big or what should the square footage of a cage be for two piggies? thank you for your constant replies!
if the paper bedding is working for you then that's great! I like my fleece and washable puppy pad method (video here: czcams.com/video/3cmPX2As4vw/video.html) because I find it saves me money and I like the way it looks! For two pigs you want at least 8 square feet but 10 is preferred especially if they are males! hope this helps!
@@autumngrace. cetainly does thank you!!!

What is the best thing to use for a litter box?
And the best place for those microfiber pads!?!?!
I use yesterday's news paper based unscented cat litter pellets! And I got my rugs from big lots
I don't have a guinea pig(I have a hamster named Cinnamon) but I will try to subscribe to as much pet CZcamsrs who really cares about their animals.
Aww thank you so much! I donât own hamsters but I watch a lot of hamster you tubers anyway â„ïž
I am thinking of trying vitamin c tabs for my guinea pigs which brands would u recommend just sent in my cage!
I give my 2 girls the Oxbow Vitamin C Tabs, Hope that helps!
@@claireelise7672 thank u :)
yes I give the oxbow ones as well!
@@autumngrace. tysm autumn :)
Lmrs lounge, one thing I noticed that needs to be fixed, otherwise it will cause serious damage to their piggies feet, is the grids that attach the two cages together, that are like little ramps needs to be covered, either with cardboard, cloroplast, with fleece, or something firm to cover them so they donât get bumblefoot. Which is very painful for the piggie.
I didnât even notice that! Thatâs a good point
How many parts of this series will you do?
Probably quite a few! I want to get through most of the cages Iâve been sent
@@autumngrace. Great!
Iâm going to get 30 grids soon for my 2 male guinea pigs and iâm very limited with supplies because here in Brazil guinea pigs arenât common so pet stores donât provide many things for them. After i save enough money iâm going to buy the grids but i have no where to buy fleece (because most youtuber stores are very expensive when converting to reais and shipping to brazil is also expensive) but iâm thinking puppy pads and some child blanket so they donât eat the pads. This is my best idea but iâm not sure if itâs ok so i would really love your opinion on this idea. love your videos đ„°đ§Ą
Any fleece blanket will work well:) i use walmart fleece blankets over puppypads
@@Hannah-xt9uv Ok thanks!
Yes any fleece blanket works!! Just make sure you âwickâ it which means to wash it a ton until the water goes through the blanket and doesnât sit on top
@@autumngrace. Ok thanks for the tip iâll definitely make sure to do that 𧥠(This is my posting channel and the original comment is my main channel)
Idk if itâll be included in the next part but this is my guinea pigs cage: czcams.com/video/l1-DPPoTswM/video.html (all the information is in the description)
I have a unrelated question! Do you feed vitamin c tabs daily? Iâm always worried about my piggies getting enough so I have been feeding them daily. Is that okay?
I donât feed them daily to my three girls because they get sweet peppers daily! However honey is picky and refuses to eat sweet peppers and only sometimes eats the green ones so I give her one daily. (She also hardly eats her pellets, and Iâm not too sure what to do about that.) I donât think you can give too much vitamin c their bodies just get rid of it but the tabs are expensive so if theyâre eating their peppers daily I wouldnât worry about tabs daily as well maybe just every once in awhile ! But itâs up to you!
@@autumngrace. thank you! The bell peppers I give always get eaten but I do worry that one piggie is stealing them all from the other lol!!
@@alainasmithyb what I do with my piggies Alaina, is hand feed them all a slice so I know their all getting equal amounts:)
@@laequestrian6400 Ouu thatâs smart!! Thank you I will definitely start doing this.đ
@@alainasmithyb your welcome!đ
I'm just getting one Guinea pig, my mom, won't let me get anymore than one. I have to talk her into it maybe I can see if she likes how I'm taking care of what and make sure she gets me another one. Because people are saying. That you can only have that you can't haveone
If you canât get two donât get one at all. Also if your mom isnât on board a guinea pig probably isnât the best pet for you, as they can have very expensive vet bills you would need an adult to pay.
Can't humans be Guinea pigs friends.
@@lyriqholder3320 nope! Guinea pigs need other guinea pigs humans do not speak their language. Please do not just adopt one it will be lonely and depressed
Heeeeeeyyyy
Are you going to make a video about the bonding and how marshmallow rejected honey?
Yes I am planning to!
@@autumngrace. yay đ
My guinea pig is 4 and a half years old. We had 3 but 2 of them recently died around 3 months ago. I am wanting to get another piggie for her but canât manage to find any female pigs up for adoption, I will keep looking though. Do you think itâs worth getting another pig when she is nearly 5 years old? I donât want to get a baby pig because I donât think she would bond well with one.
I think itâs worth giving it a shot! Why donât you want a baby? Iâve heard babies can be the easiest to bond older or more dominant pigs with Bc they will automatically take the submissive role
@@autumngrace. it is possibly an option, I thought they were he worst to bond so thank you! It is because I will be moving to boarding college in about a year so I will not be there to look after the pigs and a baby could live for around 5 or 6 years so I wonât be there for a lot of that time and it is mainly me who looks after them the most.
The one with the pee pads look sad!
Very sad..
I wouldnât recommend letting small animals walk over the grids laying in between the two attached cages! For rabbits that is a huge risk that they would get there feet/legs caught!
Yes! I spoke to the person with this cage and she said she normally covers the ramps the ramp covers were just in the wash
