I just bought my guinea pigs the lollipop from Oxbow and it didn't even last a whole day. They loved it so much lol.

We have an amazing local pet store. Their bags of pellets are like maaaaaybe $3-$4 more than online, but it’s worth it to me!! Plus, we get to GO OUT and SHOP!! Everything is so easy to find online, it’s nice to have a store to yell at my kids in!! 🥰

you have so many animals can you speak on the emergency plan - fire/flood/ ect I know we cant prepare for everything but im always courious how people juggle so many animals. since the pigs would probly run away from you trying to save them and getting acess to cages and carriers and making sure they have food for a unplanned trip.

@@GuineaPigJungle I do in fact live in the US. My father's next door neighbor has a persimmon tree and sometimes it grows over the fence so if I ever go over there and they happened to be in season, I might pick myself a couple. I make the BEST persimmon cookies that can easily be made into gluten free cookies. They are just the best but often times I'll eat them like an apple just as is.
I live in a temporary apartment at the moment so getting myself a persimmon tree would be a bit much for me right now but I'm hoping to move to a better location in August and there I might treat myself with a couple little fruit trees 🌳 🥰

Sorry I’m back I just love this channel 😂 I wanted to share an unpleasant experience I had last night 🙄 my hamster chewed out of its cage and got out of it and went straight to my guenia pig cage I woke up and I couldn’t believe my eyes and uninvited visit to the pigs from my hamster, as I jumped out of bed I tried to get my hamster but he ran away from me! The last thing I saw before my hamster went under the bed was a scary fight between my hamster and one of my piggies. There ok I got my hamster and took it out of the room it was so scary anyways have an amazing day! :D

Where I live there is a place called Pieces and it’s awesome! They are a local place where you can get pretty much everything. It is a little more money but you can get more local stuff. Love local stores

Oh my God, the Oxbow Urinary Care cookies are excellent. Our piggies have bladder sludge and kidney issues and these are great for helping. They all have one a day and get mad if I don't feed them on time 🤣 definitely a staple for the lady piggies. Also David is pretty much the male version of my piggie Ethel xxxx

Ive been to fin & feather and they disgusted me, keeping the piggys with rabbits and dirty cages and the reptiles we saw were malnourished… they also were asking $60 for the piggys last time we were there and it was only a couple weeks ago, if they were surrendered ones they shouldn’t be asking that much.
On another note that cupcake toy is my piggys absolute favorite, but they don’t touch the top for some reason

That's a good point to read what things are made of. Dollar tree also has unteated wood decor and juke ropes. I make allot of toys for my piggies.

Oxbox treats are so helpfully & including the hay! my piggy loves vitamins c & skin coat treats. seriously picked up all other treats for my bunny. i would say 9lbs oxbox hay is my favorite, it’s soft & laying out two hand sets of hay each other day. worth it will last good two months! Chewy has oxbox items for a good prices too.

I thought you showed remarkable restraint in not bringing home the guinea pig who was at the pet store.
I am not allowing myself to bring in anymore pigs. Almost all mine are seniors and require more frequent vet visits. I’m also at max capacity for required space for my piggies. I just have to focus in giving proper care to the kiddos I have already rescued🐹🐹🤍✌🏽

Josh: NO 😂 that is amazing they take in animals unfortunately people still dump animals or let them go 😞 where I live I have a petco across the street from me and one thing I like about it they do online match so you can get great deals also I do a a farm store as well as another local pet shop that sells large bags of food so I get my rats and mice bast food a 20lb bag for $20 with 7 rats and 4 mice it’s an amazing deal 🐀

We are lucky to have a similar type of pet store, they have rescues and even take goldfish to be rehomed to koi ponds here in Lancaster but their GP supplies are sadly lacking. They have the essentials but horrible hidies and treats.

My local pet store is pretty much empty for guinea pig stuff 😞 apparently they’re not selling “all things living” anymore apparently they’re getting another brand but it’s taking sooo long to restock. I have 2 little sweet 7 month old boys waiting for snacks🥰. 💚

Ya sadly piggies don’t care usually for horse quality hay oh how awesome would it be if they did ! It sucks ordering large hay to be delivered when I live in the Midwest lol
Mine have loved all the farm hay we have gotten except this last bale and I even don’t like it myself. But it’s so cheap in comparison to packaged hay that I’m not bummed about it. I will donate it to someone who has chickens and wait till they get a new supply in. I’m the meantime I ordered a 50lbs box of the oxbow Timothy/orchard☺️🧡

Hi! So once piggies get about 6 months old you want to make sure their treats are Timothy based. Alfalfa has a lot of calcium which aids in producing urinary stones which Guinea pigs are prone to✌🏼

Are your boars neutered? If not- how do your herds do with sow hormones? I have 2 boars and would love a herd of 2-4 sows but I don’t want to upset their bond by introducing sow hormones as I’ve heard can be problematic for currently successful boar pairs.

I just got my new piggies there so scared :( they have the same 4 x 2 cage with wide loft from guenia pig cages store is there any way I can make them less scared of me?
If you just got them it takes time. It took a few of my pigs months to take treats from my hand. Just be patient and the more time you spend in the room with them and they hear your voice they will get more and more relaxed. But they are prey animals so by nature they will mostly never come running for you to pet them. But for food they will.🐹✌🏽
