In this video, I take you through the step by step process of how to install a LED carbon fiber steering wheel for a 2019 dodge charger scat pack. This process should work for most makes and models but each vehicle will obviously be a little different. This LED steering wheel was made by @Jaliscos_carbonfiber and it honestly resembles a Vicrez steering wheel. this is more of an instructional video to show how you can install your steering wheel at home, get the LED's to work and how to do the basic wiring. It did take some time to wire the cars harness to the steering wheel but that was only because I didn't have the correct tools for the job.

I’m getting ready to install my steering wheel, with the wire that controls the heating steering wheel since it’s not being connected did any error codes pop up on your dash and if so how did u wipe it out? Thx and great video
Nah nothing will pop up. Even if you turn on the steering warmer, it’ll just turn off automatically. So you can just tape it down somewhere where it won’t get in the way and you’re golden
Great video man. Greata instructions. Could you show how to change the settings and stuff on the wheel? And show how to change the colours of the LED and at what RPM they go off on? That would be great.

What tools are needed for this installation ?
A flat head screw driver, some small torx bits and ideally a wire splicer and crimps to wire the new wheel on. I think that’s pretty much it. Ohh and the took to get the main wheel bolt off

bro please answer so the little blue wire from the carbon fiber you leave it there with tape covered ? does it not connect to anything ?
For me it didn’t connect to anything. Just the wires I mentioned
What is the blue wire for? I have heated option but don’t know how to wire it.
Close it up and just tuck it away. Don’t need it from what I’ve experienced
14:30 so the wires that you connected with the electrical tape was for the LED lights ? I was a bit confused on that part. I’m getting the wheel without the LED lights
Correct. That was for the LED to power up. No LED, no problem. Then it’s just a matter of replacing all the parts and you’re good to go

How do you stop from getting a check engine light
This shouldn’t cause a check engine light unless something was done wrong
odb port powerd devices can fry your ecu and wireing
I know this is a old vid I hope you respond but did the steering wheel drain your battery?
Nope, never! You might need to look at your wiring and make sure nothings exposed and the certain wires are the ones connected

Did you have to plug anything into your OBD?
Yes, it should come with a box that connects to the OBD
Do you have any updates about the powering of your will did it make your auto start and radio with - lights pop on all the time and if so what did you do for updating the wiring
The wiring I showed in the video has no issues for me at all. It turns on when the car does and I haven’t had any problems since

Go into the setting and adjust min rpm threshold to 1000 and then the max at like 7000 and see if that works

Yes I did! I found the torque spec on a forum so not exactly sure if it’s right but I did it.. or as the others said, 2-3 ugha dughas should be just fine 😂

I would take everything back apart and make sure nothing is binding while you’re turning like the wires or anything.
You did Alright for the most part, "except you kind of Glazed over the Power module box". and its Relation to the wiring and its purpose in the install.

How do you install smart box
Easy, plug it into the OBD port. Reset the steering wheel by pressing both left and right buttons down for a few seconds and the wheel should reset and connect automatically.
@@NabeelIqbal97 thanks I bought the car with the steering wheel already installed but no smart box came with it im guessing the dealership took it off… if I order the smart box separate it should work good right? The steering wheel turns on and everything
@@alexsalgado5205 thats a tough one. Different brands make very similar wheels so youd have to be sure OHC even made that wheel. I would reach out to them and see what they say. maybe theres a serial number you can provide or something to get a box synced

email OHC about an update for the ECU and you will gain the turn signals on the wheel

I think they have some for 2004-11 as well. Just gotta find one but I’m sure they sell them
