  • Island Hopping is the next RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Career scenario, staged on a cluster of beautiful tropical islands. The objective is to build rollercoasters that are long enough, but not too fast.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is the next installment in the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise. RCT3 introduces many new and revolutionary features, including the first person POV ride camera.
This is RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition, which includes the Soaked! and and Wild! expansion packs.

I love your videos. You helped me get into Roller Coaster Tycoon! I was able to purchase the game for my switch.

13 videos into this series and the path building is still a friggen nightmare! lol

This was a fun level. You did well. Keep up the good work. And as for rct3 and the brakes there has to be at least 3 brakes and no more than 11 on speed.

Thanks! And brakes are weird in this game 😆

Test mode and the ghost test are the same setting. The game just picks whichever one depending on whether you have build mode active.
'Queue' is pronounced the same as 'cue', so you're correct :p
For coaster goals everything in the coaster build menu counts, so those rafts would have been perfect for this scenario.

Tip: you can actually curve the lift hills on the junior coaster, allowing you to implement curved lift hills

Oh that’s right, forgot that was a thing in in RCT3 as well as RCT2

Nice, honestly I find theming in RCT3 a significant downgrade over RCT2 or even 1 in many ways. The terrain size being the main issue, along with how walls work in that they can never share a tile with a path or ride. The combination of the two makes heavy theming in scenario play much more difficult and then throw in that the terrain itself is not even though the game still works in 2D tile space like RCT1/2 so generally when I build in RCT3 I ensure the terrain I'm working on has been set to a game friendly level first. I do plan to introduce RCT3 builds at some point too but I haven't figured out the video format of presentation for them yet. They just don't look as good as RCT1/2 finished builds without custom scenery.

Getting good screenshots is a headache too, even though I’ve maximized the LOD when zoomed out.

@@azungu1190 Yup, the lighting engine just isn't that great. I remember playing it when it just came out and PCs at the time could barely run it on Medium quality. It's amazing how much of RCT2 they fit in there first try (plus all the additional stuff like waterparks and zoos) but it has a lot of cons as a result.

@@azungu1190 Oh one tip I do have for you to improve your screenshots: make heavy use of terrain paint. Theres a TON of options, using them as a border around paths, rides, scenery makes a HUGE difference. like 1000% difference. Since it's free in 3 makes it even better and theres like tons of options to pick from so it adds a lot of variation.

The side friction coaster needs no explanation, being inspired by those old timer coasters back in 1900’s only one remains today and that is the worlds oldest coaster, leap the dips
