  • Testing few tools from the interior demolition set that I got from Tomtop. When working with interior parts it's important to have just the right tools for the job. This way you will finish the job quick and not not damage your cars interior. Before I was using small set of four removers. And before that a flat screwdrivers.
    ⚠️ Please, don't use flat screwdrivers to remove interior #trim. You will most likely permanently scar your cars interior or even damage it. And interior parts can be really expensive.
    ℹ️ To test this set I've picked 5 tools and tried them in #Volkswagen Golf MK7 (5G). Without any problem I've removed Discover Media head unit, front cubby, dashboard side panel, trunk edge cover, and passengers door threshold cover. Done in seconds.
    Having right #tools will save you a lot of time when fixing, disassembling, upgrading or retrofitting new things in your car. This set is great for home and professional use when working with door panels, interior trims, infotainment and radio units.

    Very good review, you can actually see how the tools are used.
    It looks like you do it every day. 😁
    I would recommend put heatshrink or wire loom cloth tape on the tips of the metal tools, to prevent scratches.

    I am so glad you didnt do my pet hate, the trim panel on the foor of the door, seen too many people remove and refit them and trap the rubber seal in it then wonder why there car fills with water, when all you gotya do is like you did, give it a little tickle with your hand,
    I encourage diy like yourself but advice to noob's, take pictures of everything you work on before you start and as you dismantle,
    Makes it a whole lot easier to refit it right,
    Because sometimes you notice things during reassembly that you didnt see when it was dismantled and a picture can be a life saver showing you weither it was or was not there

      Usually I clean everything before disassembling for the first time. Not only job is much more pleasant, but also I'm forced to see and touch everything, which creates "mental images" of how things were originally.
      But yeah, picture will do just fine. 😀

    I’m struggling to remove the rear door panel on my Golf 7. What trim tools do you recommend? A lot of video show an easy pop on and off but none show any specific tool usage

    Jak oceniasz ten zestaw? Bo ja mam ten pomarańczowy i jest do dupy. Plastik jest za miękki. Myślałem o kupnie NEO, ale ten Twój też brałem pod uwagę tylko boję się, że on może być słaby jak ten pomarańczowy.

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  Před 4 lety

      Te pomarańczowe są chyba trochę za miękkie. Szybko się zużywają. Ten czerwony zestaw jest twardszy, ale nadal elastyczny.
