Yeah, as well as I. I've been going through absolute ego degradation (Death of the elements of the psyche and emergence of its rebirth) along with my intimate partner. All the praises unto god and wish you greater growth, maturation and more closeness to the Truth.

"Acquiring more information" in and of itself is just memorization. True learning is the application of that acquired knowledge in service of a particular aim.
Not really. Acquiring means to gain, to become more competent in a particular field of life so you can make better and informed decisions.

There’s a saying, “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” You are what you are and what you can share to others for them to learn something from you. In turn, others are what they are and you can learn something from them. Thus, you learn from each other. It’s reciprocal!
When I finally gave up the disordered eating pattern I had for almost 20 years my first thought was 'Now what?' All that time stretching in front of me with no distraction. Now my thought is there aren't enough hours in a day to get done all that needs doing. 😂

I would question the last statment about good and evil warring inside everyone. I'm not so sure that's a universal truth, could no one have made peace?
For someone to have made peace within themselves warranting no evil inside, then they would’ve truly been Buddha or God.
Let's use this opportunity to learn something new. Language matters, Language has many presumptions/assumption baked into the sentences and phrases into them. In this case, "Face your Fears". If you accept this statement, you are assuming that you have fears, reality, you don't, fear is just a word in the dictionary to describe a certain feeling. Question for you, how do you know the feeling your feeling is fear? My experience dealing with A major Brain injury, when one is riddled with incoherent thoughts and feeling beliefs and are confused it can be easy to assume you have fear based on the "Feeling" one is having. Instead of facing your fears, in which case you by default accepting that fear is real. Instead take this approach, Prove to yourself that Fear isn't. real. Prove to yourself that the stories of you past don't matter, and learn the lessons and move on. You also need to tap into your senses and get out of thinking. We were born to be sensing creatures, language can disassociate us from our senses. Remember when people had common sense? It's really simple people are processing too many words every day, maybe 10,000 time more than caveman did. Knowledge/information is what got Adam and Eve in trouble and separated them from their spiritual self.
Common sense is just a word then, too. I don't think you got what he's trying to say
