    If I knew that screenshot of the wet tyre was going in a video I would have taken more effort with it! 🤣 Didn't have a chance for the back end to get loose in my session, was a very wet Mt Panorama Bathurst and I was going VERY slowly. 🌧

    On a good setup I found the car sticks to the track like glue and is very easy to drive. Immediately one of my favorite cars

      Yeah I found it a lot easier to throw around Road Atlanta just now compared to the F3. Can carry a lot of speed in the corners and I wasn’t spinning or locking up at all.
      I’m guessing top speed is lower but lap times are a bit faster.

    For fun, a few of my friends and I ran some cars on the dry and wet on Mosport. That car on dry was a missile on Mosport. Defo a fun car to drive on slightly shorter circuits. T1 and T2 of Mosport were flat.
    Was really excited for this. Can't wait for the season to start.
    Did the Snetterton race, Little Wings. And man do you have to be gentle on the brakes. Slammed the brakes towards to rear and I survived for the most part.

    That's an interesting bug to encounter. I personally didn't try using the actual wet setup, I just loaded up one of the dry setups and then manually changed the tires to wet in the garage and that worked for me. This car is quite smooth, and sounds kind of amazing. I also love how it's more forgiving with the rev limiter than the previous F3 car, which sounded all sorts of gross hitting that limiter, lol.

    Seems like you like the handling most places but too pointy in the high speed turns. What you prob need is a bit more rear downforce bias, so one tic more rear or one less in the front. Another thing that would give less front downforce is slightly higher front ride height, in comparison to the rear's ride height.
    Generally I prefer more push in low speed corners, allows me to be a bit more aggressive on the throttle & save it if I use too much/ too abruptly, and more rear DF in high speed corners where abrupt throttle is a bit less of a cause for spinning. I'm not super knowledgeable about getting the car fast but I know how to get it to feel how I like.
    You seem to have far too much front downforce, so I'd move it back until you got a slight push, then fine tune the rest of the general setup. You may come back to that higher front DF once you get everything else sorted out.
    Look at Driver61's channel & website for setup advice. I found it hugely helpful 😁

    I noticed that you sometimes have a white flicker on the screen. I would so love to get a g9 49'' or 57'' monitor, but is it the case that Samsung has still not fixed the backlight flicker.

    Tried it at Suzuka with the Suzuka setup (seems to be on the schedule for season 2) and it drives like on rails. I am even a little disappointed coz it can be driven so easily

    if you compare braking. Is there diference? Old F3, with cigarbox, braking is strange (for me) after couple weeks i cant stil figure out how to brake. Super formula is good, F4 is good, FF is good but F3 is spinfest.

    • @stuffeyy
      @stuffeyy  Před 6 měsíci

      Difficult to remember to be honest with you as its been a while since I spent time in the F3. Personally they felt good, be wary of thr Brake Bias being very far forward though. Overall the car felt very pointy and loose on the rear in those 2 setups I used

  • @TallTaleGael

    so is this the real life current f3 car?

  • @markc3456
    @markc3456 Před 6 měsíci

    Thanks for doing the video! How would you describe the tires on that car? Are they the hockey puck tires of the SF or are they softer (with corresponding wear) like the standard F3 car?
    Edit:. I ended up buying it and man, this thing is awesome! The tires are made of rubber and they do wear. I actually found this to be the easiest car to learn rain driving with
    Non-pro tip:. Try the medium downforce setup for Silverstone. That one will be a lot more predictable there.

  • @Jam-hj1ht
    @Jam-hj1ht Před 6 měsíci

    the high downforce setup is complete trash in this car. The only good setups I have found so far are the Okayama and the Suzuka setups. Seems like the car likes right around 42%-44% aero balance, otherwise the rear end is spiteful

    I don't like this car because I expected a F3 car and is so different. I will race in this season, but the car is to slow do compare with F3. I had the same feeling when I tested the F4 car when they introduce in iRacing.

  • @MichaelSchillab
    @MichaelSchillab Před 6 měsíci

    Not sure if it only me, but the on board sound is horrible. Reminds me of a sewing machine, not a race car. Compared to this, the IRL F3 cars last week sounded so good....
