  • Hey there!! here's Damage and Physics comparison between real life crash tests and BeamNG Drive. I hope you guys like this.
    Real life crashes were compared to BeamNG.Drive crashes and results are pretty good. Crashes were not exactly as real life but pretty close. Of course it was also hard for me to replicate crashes exactly the same. So some deviation in BeamNG.Drive could also be caused by my inaccuracy.

Hope you make more of these :D You probably wont see this comment, but i have to say, you did a REALLY good job on all the camera angles, choosing cars and setting up the scenarios. Real life can't be neat but it's the fact that the game is getting so CLOSE to real life that is amazing. You can see the the brick area how the car have more gravity compared to the cars in the game that seem to be much lighter. And when there are crashes for the lost part in game the car stays intact and there are not as many piece exploding off but I bet that would be a game developers nightmare to create anyway.

    I can't imagine how much better it would be with fragments flying off vehicles during crash in BeamNG. I know that would drop the performance hard, simulating so many particle like stuff at once is not going to be easy on computational power.

    Beam ng is the best racing arcade Simulator ever build. They need to add a few things in coming updates. Just as I read here in comments things like leaking fluids and Glas that Wil crack and fall apart. Another thing to make it more realistic is to evolve different physics to different materials. Like a metal panel would bend and a plastic bumper Wil crack and break while in a crash. Tires that will burst. They need to make this as an option in the graphics settings because this is going to need a hell of a computer. Still this is the best arcade game ever played

    • @SmashInToGaming
      @SmashInToGaming  Před 3 lety

  • @pex_the_unalivedrunk6785

    LOL! Hey, that last test wasn't fair-one was an old Beetle and the other one a "New" Beetle! Interesting to note, both vehicles were considered to be some of the safest vehicles in their size class in each respective time period...although the 1998-2011 were crazy safe-the front seats were so far back from the windshield that your head won't connect with the A pillar so long as you wear a seat belt(and the airbags turn the inside into a bouncy castle, the shell in both versions acts like a roll cage. Of, the A pillars also made horrible blind spots at 11 & 2 o-clock...probably resulting in many pedestrian hits & vehicle collisions. German steel though....anyhow, despite it's small size, the "New" Beetle is safer than most older large cars which rip apart on impact(like the 1959 Chevy Impala)...they go squish like a bug, but their safety is practically 2nd only to Mercedes Benz & Volvos from that early 2000's era.
