Welcome back to Wild Finds. I am thrift store hunting again and find some really cool items include Nirvana Cassettes, horror VHS DVD + Blu-rays, Beserk anime Season one, a rare R Crumb book, and more!

Embarrassingly enough, Famous Monsters was my intro to Misfits so I’ll always have a soft spot for that era. Fortunately, it eventually got me into the real thing!
Maybe I was a little harsh. It's not the worst thing ever. Danzig is a master song writer and it's impossible for someone to come in and top that. I first got into them the same way a lot of people probably did which is because of Metallica covering them.

Wow, a lot of rare unbelievable fines in that movie box I’m jealous 😮 great score of that second store. You definitely have to keep those stores a secret from cinema sicko. Dirty shame the NC 17 version is kind of harder to find them they R rated.🍻 heck yeah. Awesome CD finds by the way.
That Butch & Sundance VHS is a piece of history. Copy/paste: Magnetic Video is notable for its contribution to the birth of the modern-day home video empire and the birth of video rental systems. In the fall of 1976, Blay came up with the idea to release pre-recorded motion pictures on videocassette. The following year, he convinced 20th Century-Fox, which was then in financial difficulty, to license fifty of their films for home video release in VHS and Betamax formats. Blay also established the Video Club of America in order to sell the titles directly to consumers by mail.
That Bible was a great find!

I have just finished watching 3 O'clock High, for the first time. Fantastic movie. I am now going to watch Runaway. Great movie from the 80s starring Tom Selleck.

Yup! Although I don't think this one was even that old, maybe that made it worth more, it being a modern one but still made of leather.

Hey, great to watch another video.
That Goodwill pick-up at the beginning was fantastic. I recommend that you watch Messiah of Evil as it really took me by surprise at how good it was. I picked up the excellent Radiance release here in the UK and loved every minute of it. It was giving me Lovecraftian vibes.
Also, just for your info, Blu Rays are not always region free. In the US, you're Region A, Europe is Region B and like Australia (and that part of the world) is Region C. You may be thinking of 4k UHD discs, which generally are region-free.
Thank you! I might have already seen Messiah and have forgotten but will have to watch / rewatch it. Sometimes I forget about movies I streamed years ago. That's why I like physical media.

As a UK viewer, I am amazed that people in the US still buy VHS tapes of titles that are available on DVD or better. I don't think most charity shops in the UK would even take them.
The shops not taking them means you miss out on the titles not released on other formats. That's a shame.
No one in the US buys VHS. Only collectors of that format still do. It’s no different than vinyl records. Btw people in the UK definitely still buy vhs but like I said only collectors.
People like buying them for nostalgic reasons rather than for the picture quality. I do think there’s a certain charm to the vhs look

bluray not all region, however go to system in settings and press 8520 and you can change to correct region. Great videos thanks falcon

@@FleaMarketFalcon It depends on which player you have whether you can change the region. Be careful, sometimes they are limited to 5 changes too. But by design, a lot of blu-rays are locked to a certain region. If you have a panasonic player, there are tricks as well where you can play most blu-rays. The best solution is to buy an all-region player (goes for about $125-$150).
Excellent finds. Dude Sorority house massacre 2 is a rare one. Still hasn't received a bluray. I paid quite a bit for my copy. Phenomena is my favorite Dario Argento flick next to Opera and Tenabre. Juicy Stuff. Regular blurays are region coded...Region A for US and Canada. Some import Blurays are region free. I hear that 4K Blurays are region free. Should've done that from the start.

great finds!! shock is a good movie, but it's kind of misleading that it says mario bava directed it. he directed a little bit of it and then got sick, and his son lamberto bava directed the majority. but he is a great director also, he did the demons movies.great find on that sorrority house massacre 2 dvd, i think that thing is pretty rare!

Oh nice. Yup I was happy to find that, I had never heard of it before. I watched it already, very off beat movie.
Gone to 50 of these bins. Very VERY few are like this. It would take a year to get that haul at other dead locations. Have no idea where this one is? Florida??? Didn't make it to all the Florida locations - only about 4-5.
Yup I live in Florida. Strangely enough, outside Florida the only other goodwill bin store I have been to is in Queens NY and that one is even better than the one in this video.
Wow you're in great area for sure, I'm in Port Saint Lucie Fl and they barely have any media, certainly nothing as good as the stuff you find.

I know it’s not the same as a physical copy but Edith Finch is $5 on PSN right now. It’s definitely worth a play through.
I think I will! In cases like that yes, it is better to pay $5 to play the game than $150 to own psychically.

I wondered if you saw that R. Crumb book or even knew who he was. That's a good one. I'm kind of surprised at times at what you buy or think might sell, but you've been at it longer than (and I've not done it).
Yes I know R Crumb I have read his comics and like the documentary about him. Most of the stuff I picked up in this video will sell and if not then it was cheap enough to not matter.

Have you ever checked the goodwill dumpsters? For the stuff they don't sell they just chuck into the dumpsters. Seen several people on CZcams find whole dumpsters filled with media.
Interesting! Unfortunately I think the ones I go to keep the dumpsters behind fences locked up.

Just finished a Chinese/Hong Kong dubbed movie that had no subtitles. If they hadn't dubbed it, it would be in French. SMH.

Man your experiences at Goodwill Outlets are so different than mine, how do you get so insanely lucky? The Goodwill Outlets here in Portland might have 2 bins with a handful of media in each, and want 2.29 per media item.

That Bruce Lee VHS Bruce Lee Invincible is not really Bruce Lee, it is one of many Bruceploitation films that were made after his death, many of which starred Bruce Li.

Most blurrays are not regionfree unfortunately and br players are notoriously hard, impossible usually to crack into making them play other regions of br discs... dvd regions tend to be fairly easy though. Good video

Do you have to deal with mold often with the old VHS you pickup? Seems like the biggest obstacle with VHS collectors
@jefsch2925 yup, it is an issue, and I always check, but it can be removed if not too bad and isn't a deal breaker if it's a rare title.
