This is one of my favorite movies growing up. I was totally Halley Mills on the front porch. Was I jealous of that handsome new man or the lovely redhead? And those dresses at the end for the dance!
The Mother was played by Dorothy McGuire who was also in 'Swiss Family Robinson'. One of my favorite movies is 'The Castways', even the special effects are old and unrealistic.
I wonder if you'll be doing *Almost Angels* (1962), *Follow Me, Boys!* (1966), *The Happiest Millionaire,* (1967) and *The One and Only, Genuine Original Family Band* (1968).
This is my favorite ss Brothers score on the front porch is amazing the red is eddy hodges he was eddy hascale and the little kid is the older brother of the beaver 🦫 thank you for watching this I grew up with this watching it with my grandmother so thank you for giving it a shout out
Eddie Haskell in the sitcom *Leave It to Beaver* was played by Ken Osmond. Gilly, the red-headed boy in *Summer Magic,* is played by Eddie Hodges, who also played Winthrop in the original Broadway cast of *The Music Man.* The younger boy, Peter, is played by Jimmy Mathers, who is not the older brother, but rather the younger brother of Jerry Mathers, the star of *Leave It to Beaver.*
Just finished Hayley's autobiography. No one in the Mills camp thought much of this script--and Hayley's mother personally lashed out in a letter over the waste of Hayley's time and talent--but Walt was adamant it would be a stepping stone in her career. It's kind of cute, but mostly forgettable.
@@ericjanssen394 You know, I never found out what song that was. I just know the reference from Ren and Stimpy. Do you know the title of what Burl Ives song that was?
@@ericjanssen394 It may be part of the last track, "Mother Goose Songs," because it's also considered a nursery rhyme. As a stand-alone song, I think it's just called "Fiddle Dee Dee" (Fiddle Dee Dee/ Fiddle Dee Dee/ The fly has married the bumblebee).
It seems pretty obvious to those of us who are slightly perverted. Tom Hamilton deflowers Nancy and marries her. And yes, Hayley's hair looked nice. Lately though, I've been interested in some of the non-Disney movies she was in, like "Sky West and Crooked," "The Family Way," and "Pretty Polly."
I love this movie. The story is so simple and just an enjoyable movie to watch.

I really liked her in That Darn Cat and Pollyanna.
Love these reactions of these lesser known films!! Keep it up
Starts off depressing hence the rainstorm. Ends happy the sun breaks through.
This is one of my favorite Disney movies. So bummed it’s not on Disney+
The nature footage isn't stock footage. It was filmed and included to show off a then-new macro lens.
The little boy on this movie is the brother of Jerry Mathers from Leave it to Beaver. I thought that was interesting.
l love this movie
I LOVVVVE this movie 💕 thanks for reacting
I got the Parent Trap reference. Very funny!

I like this movie came across it when I finally upgraded my copy of Pollyanna from beta video to DVD 😂
Love the Tiki drummer!
Love these old Disney reactions. You mentioned the Sherman Bros. Have you seen the doc, "The Boys - The Sherman Brothers' Story (2009)"?

17:48 That’s very funny, a fly marrying a bumblebee! I TOLD YOU I’D SHOOT! BUT YOU DIDN’T BELIEVE ME! WHY DIDN’T YOU BELIEVE ME?!
Another Burl Ives old kids-song LP reference...Er, the fly and bumblebee, that is.
(At least we used to have that hand-me-down record growing up)

@@TServo2049 Can’t place it either, except it was from his “Little White Duck” album.
