@@jeffreywilliams5554 that's definitely what im thinking, because jon isn't the only one fooled. elias seemed suspicious though, i wonder if he does know
I think NotSasha breaks it on purpose because she actually knows nothing about Sasha apart from what the recordings on the other recorder contained. So she also can't do Sasha's job and has to find a way to not be able to do it without being suspicious.

I love John like everybody else, but hell... his mental health is declining so quickly I wouldn't be surprised if he lost it one day. Just imagine: John crazily killing completely innocent Tim, Martin and Elias while not-Sasha and all the other demons (or whatever) just stand there with the big and sincere confusion asking themselves what the hell just happened here.
At this point I'd only be half surprised, John is really not catching on and is becoming too paranoid and is in bad shape

I wouldn't be surprised if something external was influencing Jon's mental state at this point. Like, even the fact that Martin does the closing kind of hints at Jon being unreliable now. (Or I'm looking too far into things)

its really strange to me how he still thinks that gertrude was killed by a normal human being, even after the dream statement and all the hate that the paranormal things have been expressing for him and gertrude. There is obviously something paranormal about it, and it seems to me that there is some sort of army of darkness or something lurking in a different plane, or maybe just deep in the earth, waiting for the right time to strike,,, but like idk lmao i think theyre planning to kill everyone on earth hahahahahahahahahha
Hmm... 👀
I mean, you're not wrong, but despite everything, Gertrude was *shot* in the *secret tunnels under the Archive* . Which is probably supposed to be at least a little bit protected as well.
So it is not that far-fetched to assume that somebody at the Archive had something to do with it.
Plus, who the hell even said all of the Archive workers were people? Sasha has been replace by a doppelganger, and nobody has even noticed.
I think she was killed by some paranormal creature because she was to close to discover something
@@jaderush4141 maybe one of the demons has a gun idk

I'm very confused about when Elias joined the institute because from Cheating Death it is implied that he was working at the time that Nathaniel Thorp gave his statement in 1972. Was he just hearing about what had happened? Because now Jon says he started in 1991? Is it some spooky thing going on with Elias? I have questions and need to keep listening to have the answers shoved down my earholes.

19:27 there is actually a phenomenon where (iirc) a body that is left in water for too long will actually go through a process called "degloving". ...yep, it's exactly what it sounds like. they actually covered it in an episode of the show dr g medical examiner (10/10 recommend, i love that show sm).

I like Jon’s private investigator voice, it really fits the character
I love how Jon’s trying to pin the blame on everyone in the institution except for not!sasha, I mean even Micheal said that he couldn’t trust Sasha or something like that, and he hasn’t even thought about it?
This will look like an unrelated question but.. Why did Jon join the institute? I don't think he's the type of person that believes in unnatural things
*unless* he vitnessed some odd stuff himself in the past. I wonder if we will hear about his past more
Edit: knock knock
I think in Infestation he said he does believe, just acts like he doesn't because he's scared?
He said when he reads certain statements (the ones we hear) he feels like he's being watched, and as long as he acts like he doesn't believe it, he's safe from whatever it is

I've listened to TMA so many times, and now I just love relistening, not only to match things I didn't get the first few times, but also to see all the theories the newbies have--it's so fun to me. I also love seeing comments that weren't there before up at the top. Nice to see the CZcams TMA fandom is growing.
Totally! I'm doing the same, preparung for Jan 2024 😁
Here on my second listening to this series from start to finish I can't help but find it funny that as Jon goes through his paranoia phase on each of his coworkers his suspicion of Elias is based on "he didn't seem like the type to ever even come into this job in the first place and yet somehow rose to the top in only five years and it just happens that everyone that knew him before keeps disappearing or leaving almost like he is covering up a mysterious past" whereas his suspicion of Martin a few episodes ago was based on "you know, Martin actually seems pretty good at his job now that I am paying attention. I always thought he was dumb. Maybe faking being dumb all this time?!?!".
It does seem to be on two very different levels.
Yes! Get it Tim! Love a glorious bicon!

Just so you know when the title comes up it just says "Episode 49" and nothing else.
I fell asleep while listening and woke up to, "There is no way to describe what it feels like to have bone pulled out of you."
when he was talking about the butcher shop, the first thing i thought of was Sweeney Todd, low and behold i wasnt the only one lmao
"Apparently he is involved, both with one of the young ladies there, as well as the gentleman who manages the other shift."
My man!
I absolutely love Tim!
My theory from this episode and what we know so far:
The books are connected with the entities. The book about heights was related with the vast dimension, so this book of boneturner is related to another entity, and that thing bellow the tile where Jared throws bones, flesh and blood is part of that entity. The reason why the police didn't find it there was probably because there was actually a portal open connecting our dimension with that dimension, so when Jared left he also closed that portal. Since Jared can remove bones without breaking the skin, in the episode with the boneturner's tale he was the one who removes bones from a pet rat and his own mother and later killed the witness and removed some of his bones. Jared is now a part of an entity, just like Michael is part of the spiral entity and prentiss was part of the hive entity; they all were once humans but, for one reason or another, instead of getting killed/eaten from those entities, they actually became a part of them.
Not!sasha's computer isn't working is probably connected with the reason why those files can't be digitalised and any supernatural thing can't be recorder by digital machines. Either because something else supernatural doesn't want to and interfeers with it or because the digital machines don't work with supernatural.
As for Elias, either he was approached by a supernatural entity in the past and started working for it and thus that's why he changed and started working in the institute or he was replaced by something else, just like how Graham and Sasha have been replaced
