In this episode, we take an in-depth look at Sennheiser’s new entry level digital wireless microphone system, the XSW-D. In particular, we put the portable lavalier set to the test. The XSW-D is made to be as simple to use as a cable, according to Sennheiser. And based on our tests, we agree.
The transmitter and receiver are very small, include in-built batteries with over 5 hours of powering time, and there’s only a single button so you don’t have to fuss with a bunch of settings. Of course, there are trade-offs when you make things this simple, but overall, it seems that Sennheiser has made a winning option for solo video shooters and those who don’t know a lot about audio production but want high quality audio.

The most professional youtuber of this nich, best reviews and advices!
Thanks Rodrigo!
There are some really good and professional CZcamsrs out there... But Curtis is definitely one of the tops.
Thanks. I've been looking at this and you answered my most important questions.
👍
I, too, wanted to know how much cocoa powder was needed.
1/4 cup, got it!
Thank you so much Mr. Judd. I very rarely subscribe to this type of channel but this is the 4th video of yours that I have found to be extremely informative and easy to watch. You are very professional (it is SO refreshing to encounter someone who doesn't think he's a comedian) and I am happy to subscribe. Please keep on producing reviews of this quality.
Thanks so much!
Appreciate all your audio focused videos greatly.
Thanks Incee!
Thank you very much! I had to make a quick desition for a two day job with a lot of interviews in a crowded environment at an expo and this just worked perfectly for my needs. I'm in love with your channel.
Glad it worked out well! Thanks!
This system works great with my Canon Rebel T5i, but it was gold for me while acting on stage. I needed a small, easy to hide unit with no antenna that could be damage while performing in a play at Cleveland State University. All the other actors were wearing regular wireless mics but my character -a hostage strapped to a chair, was a very physical role being roughed around and getting wet. So I took a chance and ordered a unit. Love it! The transmitter easily hid in a microphone belt on my back under my t-shirt (and under a full business suit on initial scenes) with the mic wire running up behind my neck and pinned just above my forehead's hairline (I have shoulder length hair). The mic worked like a charm and the sound quality was better than the other mics. The unit was on for two and a half hours without any battery problems. Now we are considering getting more units (and hoping for the price to go down) Still, for live stage, I highly recommended it.
Thanks John, great info! Glad to hear it worked so well on stage
Thank you Curtis, great review and as always keep up the great YT channel!
Thanks Jose, will do!
You are one of the Best person with Professional approach with great experience, I always wait for ur videos. Lot of Respect Sir.... THANKS
Thanks Dr.Malik Osama Saeed!
So knowledgable, so concise, so practical. Chapeau!

Thanks Curtis! Not sure how you dont have more subscribers, mate. You're one of the most professional for all video-related reviews. :)
Thanks. In part it is because my videos are not “Edu-Tainment” but I’m ok with that! 😀
Some of your videos are like good television. I find myself coming back now and then. Thank you.
Thanks!
Another comprehensive yet simple review. I value learning what I don't need every bit as much as what I do.
Ha! Thanks Ike!
This was a great review (per usual). Thanks, Curtis!
Mahalo.
Always such great and clear advice in a professional and friendly manner! Many thanks.

Awesome tests as usual. They really stand out. Thanks 🙏
Thanks!
Just did an on the water demo of this kit. I really love it! Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks Cooper, good to know it works out on the water, too!
@@curtisjudd For sure! I had a slight cut out at probabky 50-60 feet but I had my back to the camera and had the transmitter down in the front of my waders. Once I repositioned the transmitter, it worked flawlessly :)
I've been interested in this. Thanks for this review.
You're welcome!
Very well made ! Thanks Curtis !!
Thanks Phil!
Nice review, with spot-on counselling about dos and don'ts.
Aside from all technical aspects and features, I see this new product range as a key for non-sound-specialists to step right in good-sounding videos/presentations/mini-gigs, etc.
After years as an actor, I know a thing or two about how to mic a talent, on a set or a stage... and the hassle of it all. But I'm also an entertainer and host/presenter... thus having the "joy" to install / set /adjust / troubleshoot my own soundgear. And boy is it giving me headaches sometimes !!!
I've always managed to get great results, and sometimes was being requested as the good samaritain pulling out collegues from "technical traps". We all know these old venues, shops, theatres, conference halls, event places... where sound system was installed by no-one-knows-who, with some obscure gear, decades-old basic loudspeakers, pinched cables, dusty-crusty amplifiers, karaoke-type mixers, etc. In such places, you can easily lose 2 hours trying to figure where is what, and how to get the thing to sound decent. If ever !
In such places and situations, having to just plug-press-pair-run is more than mind-relaxing. The clever folks at Sennheiser know how to conceive gear and whom for... I guess they've just done it once more.
Thanks Giles, appreciate your perspective. The simplicity is definitely compelling.
Perfect timing with the "START CLIPPING!"
😀
Thanks! great video! Whats the soundtrack you use in your outro?
Thanks! That's a song my brother composed. He calls it MzA.
Thank you for the review, Mr. Judd. Thanks, B&H, for providing it so it can be reviewed by a trusted reviewer.
Thank you, too, huyked!
Another excellent review and a great products for people on a budget.
Thanks!
Very good review - thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you for this review 👍
You're welcome!
Really good video Curtis, thinking of getting this for my whiteboard math lessons. I have been using a Power DeWise lapel mic, but it's pretty noisy - not bad for some 20 dollars - but not as good as I'd like. Thanks a lot for the thorough review!
Thanks, I hope it works well for you and best wishes on your tutorials!
Hi Curtis, I enjoy so much your reviews! Nice cozy warm atmosphere captured with your Blackmagic camera! Have you recorded in 4k or 1080p? Blackmagic RAW, ProRES or what? I would love to know!
Hi, thanks! This was captured in UHD, Blackmagic Raw.
Great Review!
Thanks!
Nice piece of information. Thank you very much
You're most welcome.
Brilliant review thank you so much for your help
You’re welcome. Happy recording!
Wonderful and informative video. Thank you for sharing : )
You bet! 👍
Excellent review
Thanks
I've been waiting for this review from you and finally it's here. Thanks a lot for your work! Did you try Audio-Technica System 10 as well? How it compares to this Sennheiser?
Hi Kirill, thanks! I haven't tried the AT System 10 yet. It is still on my list to try.
Haha, first time I ever had the honor of giving the 1k thumbs up. Great vid. Thanks!
Thank you!
Hi Curtis. Thanks for another informative review. I bought two sets of these a month ago for my church and they have worked well for the last three Sunday services. I got the lavaliere set with the XLR audio out on the receiver because they plug into our mixing board. Problem is, we rent our space for only four hours each Sunday. Everything gets packed away into a box and stored in a self-store garage with no mains power for recharging. My solution for recharging is to purchase a rechargeable power bank so we can pack the four devices plugged into the power bank and they can recharge at their leisure. Each week, when we set up we will plug the power back in so that it recharges during the service.
The Sennheiser Product Information sheet informed me that each device has a 850 mA-hr rated at 3.7 V which is 3145 mW-hr so I'll need a power pack with at least that capacity times four, or 12580 mW-hr . I could keep the two receivers plugged into a charger the whole time they are in use. I don't know if that would keep them fully charged but it would reduce the recharge power overall.
I measured the current a fully-charged receiver consumes when operating as 240 mA at 5 V. That's 1200 mW. A receiver at about half-charge pulled 410 mA when off and charging. When on and charging it pulled 480 mA. I'm not sure I can draw an accurate assessment of how much having them plugged in while in use will extend their battery endurance or reduce their charge consumption from the battery pack.
Oh, they only send one charging cable with a transmitter/receiver set, so you'll have to pick up another cable if you want to change them at the same time, which do.
Sennheiser Product sheet: assets.sennheiser.com/global-downloads/file/11409/SP_1225_v1.1_XS_Wireless_Digital_Lavalier_Set_Product_Specification_EN.pdf
Hi Robert, good idea to use USB Batteries to charge them after service. And good point re: only one included cable - that can create a bit of a recharge bottleneck.
Just wanted to say that I have watched all of your reviews, and they are invaluable. THANKS! One tip: you might want to check out the SE Electronics SE8. I've only used it once but it feels like a budget MKH50
Thanks for the tip!
Curtis, my ear clearly gives the winner to the Sennheiser over the Rode. The Senn sounds richer and not "echoey" as the Rode does. To me, there is no comparison: the win goes to the Senn. Great review! Much appreciated.
Thanks Roy!
Thank you so much for your thorough evaluation, without all the "CZcams Shenanigans."
You are most welcome!
Great reviews
Thanks.
I was deadset locked in on buying the Rode system, but I'm definitely going the Sennheiser for my first wireless system. Another great review as usual.
Thanks and I hope it works well for you!
Great review! Good point about the inability to reduce the output level. Otherwise it looks good, but I'm hesitant to ever buying a device, other than a phone or a USB battery, with a built in non replaceable battery. I once bought some flash triggers from a reputable brand that only saw light use, and after three years the built in battery wouldn't charge anymore. So that was 300 USD worth of "disposable" flash triggers down the drain. A built in battery basically sets an expiration date on the device based on the longevity of the battery - unless the device is so popular that after market battery replacement service is available - like it is for phones. And then there's the challenge of not being able to quickly swap out batteries if the device runs out of power while you're using it - as you already pointed out. I like the size, and I'm sure it's a fine device, but I prefer replaceable batteries.
Great points. Thanks for sharing!
I like the new look man. not that 1980 look any more he he he, congs. And appreciate the constant info and education you provide, very detailed and helpful.
Thanks.
:)
With the GH5 and this mic, I’ll get a static like distortion at times, even when speaking in the same consistent lower volume. Any idea on which setting I could use, or is this some type of 2.4ghz interference?
Hmm, not sure. Do you have a sample online?
Great review. I just wanted to mention that you can use a mini to male XLR cable (like the Sennheiser CL100) to connect the receiver you have to a camera or recorder with an XLR input. That way you can use the receiver with either.
Thank you Sven.
Thanks! I just confirmed this same question with Senheisser!
Thanks for the overview. I actually use the Me-2 version 2 as a lav in my CZcams videos. I like it. Mine is in rough shape however (no idea how. I feel that someone got to it, and never told me, but that's another story...), but I agree. It sounds nice for what it is. I keep considering this option. Thanks for that distance test!
You bet! Thanks Dave.
This looks like a great unit, thanks for the review Curtis! Will you be reviewing the new Rode wireless Go?
Yes, Wireless Go is on the way.
I bought this lav set with XLR receiver and plug it in to a Tascam DR-10X, best set up to carry on my pocket to easily check it when I want.
👍🏻
Interesting. Speaking of reverb -- thanks again for the iZotope recommendation. Saved my butt a couple of times.
👍
Curtis, I'm a wedding videomaker and I bought the Comica Boomx-u and I didn't like because it have much interference
Do you think, in 2020, the senheiser is a good option? Or rode wireless go is best?
All of these 2.4GHz consumer wireless systems will have interference issues if there's a lot of wifi or other wireless activity in the same location. The Sennheiser and RODE might be a little better, but they're not a panacea, definitely not perfect either. When the person wearing them turns, the RODE in particular tends to drop the signal. The Sennheiser did a little better, but still not perfect.
Another great video and review, so practical, professional and useful. If you are recording into a mobile with another person recording and say you're making a presentation or a review, which wireless entry level mic would you recommend?
Hi Javier, thanks! The Aputure A.Lav was good when I tested it several years ago.
Very good review. If you had said 2 years ago what would be my run-n-gun dream replacement for a Sennheiser G4 system, this XSW system would be a dream come true. It just works and for a no muss no fuss git er done video shoot, this is amazing. Would I use this if I was in a studio and had plenty of time for audio setup, no way. I'm on a college campus and we do lots of interviews of students, professors and staff and often no time for set up, but this sure beats having to use a shotgun mic, especially in noisy environments. Thanks Sennheiser.
Sure is convenient.
Great review. I'm evaluating several options.. can they pair to multiple receivers for backup recording?
I don't think so, but I only had one kit so wasn't able to test.
Hi Curtis. Thanks for you great review. I really liked it.
A few ago I bought the aspen mics because of your review. Can I use any lavalier with this system or only the the Sennheisers? And if it is possible, are the aspen mics as good as this Sennheiser lavalier?
Hi Josh, you can use any microphone with a 3.5mm TRS plug for Sennhesier. I prefer the included microphone over the Aspen mic. But you can use third party mics, they just need to be specifically wired/terminated for Sennheiser (often they will say for Sennheiser Evolution Wireless G3/G4).
The in office obstruction (loss of line of sight) test was impressive (>100'), especially when compared to the Rode Wireless GO( 15-30'). If you anticipate this condition, such as weddings, I would go with this system.
👍
Very nice and thorough review. I chuckled quite a bit when you we’re doing the range test and breathing heavy.
I’ve done some vlogging with the XSWD, and one other note to mention is that the clipping system is better on the Rode Link. The XSWD is not good when placed in the back pocket. I vlog placing it in my front pocket to avoid it unclipping and dangling from my back pocket. Overall, I’m happy with it when vlogging with my GoPro7, Oly EM5ii, and Canon EOS RP. It’s fast to set up, but construction is quite weak. The threading that connects the 3.5 input for the receiver will not screw on and connect, and this is my second set that does that. I returned the first set because of that reason, but I’m suspecting this is a consistent reoccurring thing. Please double check you set over time and let me know if your set does that over time. Thanks!
Another thing is the construction for my receiver holding clamp is wobbling due to weak plastics construction. Again, please double check your unit over time.
And, after seeing your different lav mid, I’m considering buying one that’s smaller because people sometimes stare at my mic clipped around my neck area. LOL!!!
Thanks Heng! This one is just on loan from B&H so I need to send it back. So thanks for the info on how well the plastic holds up (or rather doesn't) over time.
Curtis Judd , I just shot a range test on our football field, and next is the obstruction test.
Curtis, do you think its worth getting the XLR receiver for this? The sound sounds pretty amazing to me with just the base set that you are using. I use the GH5 and was considering getting the Panasonic XLR module for it but now I dont know if I need it...
Cheers!
I'd have a look at the new RODE WIRELESS GO instead. Its receiver has settings to reduce the output level to work well with the GH5. Just learned about it a couple of days ago here: czcams.com/video/0CqlFX07mNI/video.html
When you switched to Rodelink at 2:52, I noticed change in noise floor as well as eq (Rodelink sounds bit muffled). Is that due to the mic or the system?
I am asking because I own rodelink and rode go, and I am thinking about getting ME 2-II.
Some of each, I would guess. But the Sennheiser microphone is particularly bright. I think that's the main difference you're hearing.
Thank you for great video. I just wonder if i mute the transmitter, it can be saving battery life that moment?
Good question, I didn’t specifically test that.
How can I change sensitivity of mic
Thank you :)
You're welcome!
Another great review; as I've grown to expect.
Since you mentioned latency, which digital wireless lav systems have this problem?
The Sennheiser AVX system has 19ms of latency. I suspect a large part of that is that it does some serious encryption which is more important for news gathering.
@@curtisjudd Thanks a lot for replying to my query.
Since I do own the Rodelink system, I've found that it does work for me.
However my only gripe is the size of the unit(s)!
This system from Sennheiser seems to take care of that aspect.
I'll probably think of it as an add-on! 😊
Sounds good!
Hey Curtis! Would you say this kit is better in terms of audio quality when compared to the Rode Wireless Go using a Rode lav +? I’m interested in the me2 lav because it seems to be better than my current rode lavs.
Hi, yes, the Sennheiser seems to sound slightly better, at least on my voice.
Absolutely Incredible PRO Presentation. Thank you so much. Subscribed immediately.
Thanks Jazz Bourne
Is this capable of transmitting a stereo signal from a SennheiserMKE440 if connected to it? Looking to run it back into a Tascam XR8
How would you compare this one to ew g4 112p? G4 is almost 2x more expensive than XSW-D but is there a difference in sound quality? Or only in the distance, like ew g4 ca handle longer distance? Thanks :)
Good review. How does it compare with the Comica WS-60, which is less tiny but much cheaper and includes two transmitters?
Hi Gerald, I'm not sure, I haven't used the Comica. But my experience with other Comica gear has not been good..
Nice video Curtis. Waiting for you review of the new Deity wireless system :)
If everything goes well with my schedule, we should have that for you next week.
Yes! Yes! Yes! I've waited for your review! Thanks! One quick question, if you don't mind. I'm considering buying Beachtek DXA-MICRO-PRO PLUS and 2 sets of these Sennheiser sets, so I could record 2 people at the same time and reduce the levels, if required. Do you think that's a good idea? I'm using GH5. It's a lot of money, so it might take me a very long time to save that much money to improve my horrible audio 🤣
Yes, that combination should work nicely. Best wishes!
@@curtisjudd Thank you!
Your channel is excellent. I have a question. Would I be able to use this lav, with the Male XLR receiver, and place that straight into my Focusrite Scarlet? (Plan on using it for livestreaming through OBS)
Yes.
Nice review. I’m unsure where I land on this system. If they had undercut the Rode price by a good margin, I think it’d be a much easier choice.
Hey Ray, understood. I think they're aiming for a slightly different crowd, but I'm not sure there's a distinct group of people that would rather give up the ability to set the input and output levels for smaller TX and RX units. I guess the market will speak for itself. :)
I shoot videos in my personal office.
What’s your recommendation for a dual channel wireless lavaliere system?
What about for a 3 channel wireless lav system?
Basically, I want 2 or 3 talents to each have a wireless lav mic.
I currently have the Azden pro Xd which sounds fine except it isn’t dual channel.
I shoot with my iPhone X. Thanks!!!
Hi! You're looking to record 3 lavalier microphones to an iPhone X? You might consider AirLinc over at airlinc.io
Then you'll need lavalier microphones for each of the phones. The Sennheiser ClipMic Digital is a decent option for iPhones: bhpho.to/2yOdLr4
The Sennheiser MKE2 Digital is quite a lot better sounding but much more expensive: bhpho.to/2B2WxME

I need to find something else than my rode wireless go. Can’t stand the noise floor when I add a lav mic. It is worse than the rode filmmaker kit that I had(and broke) or maybe I should find a replacement lav mic for that.
Thanks for mentioning the issues using this on gh5s. I do like the sound on this sennheisee
Yes, a replacement mic is probably a good option.
Great review! It is definitely a very attractive product with its small foot print. Plus you can wirelessly connect XLR input/output, that's pretty neat. The AF on the GH5s was awful though
Thanks Dwayne.
Very informative video, I have one question I like getting external sound separate from my camera call me old-fashioned. I use a zoom h4n. is this microphone system compatible with adapters to go into the zoom recorder .
Yes, you can plug this one directly into the 3.5mm mic input on the back of the H4n.
Wanted to ask if I use this with a Zoom F3 can it be a 32 bit float recording avoiding clipping issue if it happens ? Also which adapter would be good for connecting the receiver to the zoom F3. Rode VXLR with no power change or a Rode VXLR+ with power conversion.
No, the wireless kit can clip before the audio ever gets to the F3.
Great job as usual, as far wireless is concerned I don't have a professional one so this may be it. I ended up finding a deal on the XLR GH5 adapter so I might go for the xlr input version.
Thanks Clayton. I hope it works well for you.
I have the rode link and looking for a second setup. Would this compliment well?
Yes, as long as you have an additional mic input.
Blackmagic video looks a tad nicer than the GH5 (on my iPhone at least) which I found interesting...and the review was top notch as always!
I agree, thanks!
Curtis, thank you so much for this helpful video. One idea, around 7:47, you mentioned the input level is a bit high for some of the Panasonic GH-series cameras. Do you think passing the audio through a Zoom H1 (or a similar device) be able to act as an attenuated (as well as providing a backup track)?
Hi Silverlightphoto - its worth a try. A cleaner solution might be to run it through an attenuation cable to bump down the level just a bit. Best wishes!
@@curtisjudd Thank you so much for taking your time to help me, and so many other people, through your CZcams channel!
If I may, one more question: If I can only afford 1 wireless mic setup at this time, what if I were to get the all XLR version (XLR transmitter and receiver) of the XSW-D...
...Then if I need to plug into a 3.5mm input, I can get a 3.5mm to XLR adapter cable to (also) attenuate the signal?
NOTE: The reason I know many of these adapter cables attenuate is that I have tried several of these cables and was initially DISAPPOINTED that they reduced the mic level. In THIS case, however, it may be a benefit!
Then, on the TRANSMITTER side,
I could use it for either a handheld XLR mic, an XLR lavalier (such as the Audio Technica Pro 70) or if I need to use a 3.5mm lavalier, could I use a Rode VXLR adapter?
Love your reviews and channel! QUESTION: do you recommend the avx, xs-d, or G4 for "noticably" better sound quality?
AVX with the MKE2 microphone.
@@curtisjudd Would the xsw-d work with the mke2 microphone (i.e. without phantom power)?
@@patrickpaganini Yes, MKE2 will work and will sound great.
@@curtisjudd Thanks Curtis!
Curtis Judd would you feel like the new MKE Essential Omni is much of a step down? I just discovered this new mic.
Hey Curtis quick question,
Would the Sennheiser XSW and Rode Wireless Filmmaker kits work with a Countryman B3 mic?
They should, yes.
Do you plan to do the review / comparison with upcoming Rode Wireless go + lavalier mic? Thank you!
Indeed! czcams.com/video/0CqlFX07mNI/video.html
Thanks for the video. IM in the market for some wireless mics.
You're welcome. Best wishes!
Very good Curtis, thanks.
I have a question.
How long is the battery in this device?
After some time of use, is it possible to change the battery?
put a new one?
Hi Victor, a charge lasted 5 hours 14 minutes in my test. I haven't had it for a long period of time with regular use so I don't know how long the battery will last before needing to be replaced. I borrowed this for 30 days to do the review. Unfortunately, no, the internal battery is not user replaceable.
Hello Curtis, another great review, thank you!
I have a quick question for you. I am using mix-pre 3 for all my work but sometimes I need quick/simple & lighter solution for audio.
I was thinking about Rode Wireless Go MIC system but I just saw this video. If price is not an issue, what would you prefer for run & gun quick project, Rode Wireless Go or Sennheiser XSW-D? Thanks in advance.
I haven't worked a lot with the GO yet as I just got a copy last week, but so far, I was really impressed that it worked so well at the NAB show convention where my pro wireless system wasn't working reliably. I should have a review up on the WIRELESS GO in a few weeks.
Curtis Judd I am looking forward to your review
Does this system have to plug into a camera? Or can I use it to record on my laptop in programs like logic? Or should I have bought the XLR version?
Hi Clare, you should be able to plug it into most laptops. You might need a TRS to TRRS adapter. There is a link for the adapter in the description of the video. Best wishes!
Thanks so much for your reply Curtis, that is exactly what I needed ! I figured this out this afternoon and have one on order. Thank goodness 😅
I have a question... I connected Rode NTG 4+ with Nikon D750 via Yamaha Yamaha MG10XU Mixer with USB.... I monitor my video with the help of DIGICAM in my PC... I have issues with audio, there is a lot of Hiss or Noise in background or if I keep GAIN to low to avoid noise ... I have issues with LOUDNESS ... Please help me out how to solve this issue,,,??
Hi Dr.Malik, you'll want to review each item in the audio signal chain. Remove as many as possible to see if you still get the hiss. Then add back one item at a time. This includes the mixer, cables, etc. Best wishes!
Another great review Curtis. I was hoping you would review this system, as I have been considering buying one. One noob question: Aside from occasional interference, does a cheaper system like this give you lesser audio quality than a pro system? Or is the quality of the mic the only thing that matters?
Hi xak huh, Good question. I think that the microphone contributes probably 80% of the overall audio quality and the wireless transmission is the remaining 20%.
Thanks so much for the reply. A sound comparison to one of your more pro systems would be super helpful in the future.
@@xakhuh5104 Good idea. Thanks.
I like it.
👍
Hi Curtis, thanks for your review. Did you really normalize to - 23 LU? Or did you mean 0 LU corresponding to - 23 dBfs?
Hello Bastian, this episode was truly normalized to -23 LUFS.
Would I be able to connect a Sanken COS11 lav mic with the Sennheiser XSW-D? If so can you provide a link to the lav mic that work with it
Hi Staylo, yes: bhpho.to/2Biex11
Curtis, hi. I'm thinking of buying this. I'm gonna be plugging it in a recorder. Is there a reason I should prefer the xlr version?
If the recorder has XLR inputs, I'd opt for that.
Great review Curtis. Do you know if I can connect the receiver to my iphone or MAC instead of connecting to my camera? My iphone 11 has a cable adapter but I am not sure if it works. Thanks
Yes, but you may need a TRS to TRRS cable as phones generally need a TRRS feed.
Hello Curtis, do you think the XSW-D would be also appropriate for giving Yoga classes at home (for example for a live streaming on Zoom) or would you suggest another solution for that? Thank you for taking time for answering me, Büke
Yes, absolutely. The small size makes it a good option.
