Don’t forget the “at your friends house for dinner and you don’t like it but you eat it anyways” moment.
Isabel Fackrell I hate this one. It happens all the time and just have to roll with it.
Yes! Or (for kids) their parent comes out and it goes like this: "Do you like mayonnaise?" "No..." "Ok what about pickles?" "No..." and then you feel guilty for wasting their time XD
Isabel Fackrell when I go to my friends house her mom always asks me if I eat this or if I want this and whenever I say no I feel guilty for not liking the food she makes..
Isabel Fackrell like the time my BFF’s mom made tomatoes and onion pie!
Ikr!
When someone says that it’s not there, but you can smell it.
Kiki Aleaki the taste ~lingers~
It's the worst. Or like when I said to my grandma that I don't like onions and she's like "you'll just take them out". Grandma, raw onion has a super strong taste. Taking it out won't help.
Szczygłowa41 omg grandmas. I don’t like ackee or avocado because I think they’re too bland. And this one day my grandma was over and we ordered it (for her; I had my own meal) and she looks at me and says “you don’t like ackee” and ofc I said no. And she gives me the dirtiest look ever then shakes her head and says “well it’s good for you”. And she goes and does the same thing with the avocado. Like grandma ik it’s good for me, but I don’t like it and I eat other things that are good for me like vegetables (non-steamed; I feel steamed veggies are too soggy) pls let me be 😢.
i cant relate more
Szczygłowa41 I can relate to this in so many levels. I often end up not eating anything because the you can literally still taste it and it just makes me want to gag
When people say, you've never tried it, you will like it!!!!!! You try it and don't like it and they just say it's because u were set on not liking it
O MY GOD MY PARENTS ALWAYS SAY THAT TO ME
It’s cause you were.
THAT TRUE
EVEY DAMN TIME
Damn very very truest comment
People thinking it’s your fault that everything tastes like garbage
People playing the “which food do you eat” where they name several foods for you to say yes or no to
People saying “omg I hate you that’s my favorite food”
Or maybe some people have different tounges or taste buds.
Exactly
I hate how judgemental some people get over me being a picky eater when it doesn’t affect them at all
Someone acting like a toddler doesn’t affect you 😂😂😂. I’d rather eat with cannibals than picky eaters tbh
worst part is when you are at a friends house and there parents cook something you dont like and try to eat it all to take one for the team
Jup and you have to gag constantly and pretend to like the food they made bc you don't want to offend them with your bad taste
Just say you’re not a big fan of whatever it is. I mean people have preferred tastes there’s nothing weird with that. It’s weirder to sit and gag, pretending to like it. Wtf, just communicate
I had to do that once when I spent the night at my friends house and almost vomited after trying to eat the scrambled eggs her mom had made for me.
Fandom Trash I was at a friends house when I was younger. And her mom made spaghetti bolognese I think. And I tried it and gagged the whole time. So her mom was like: "you sure you like it?" And I was like "yeah" and then I gagged some more and trying to stop. And she was like: "you don't have to eat it if you don't like it" and then I stopped eating it and we had a nice desert hahah
And another time we had Chinese at this gathering thing and I don't like that. And I was gagging and eating very little haha. "I'm not hungry" 😂
Mireille XD I can relate to that
I relate. Dont get me started on when I go to a friends house and they make something I don't like and I'm to polite to say no so I just eat enough. Followed by my friend saying " you didn't eat much" me: "I wasn't really hungry..." When your really starving
excactly that
or in my case, mostly not visiting your friend but having them visit you so you're in control
So me
I have worst things:
When the thing you hate is a secret ingredient.
Or when they put the WRONG topping, which you are allergic to/hate
I relate to the allergy one WAY to much
My sister always tries to lie to me says,, It’s not cheese, you’ll be fine“ and I can literally see the stretch
This is probably the most relatable thing I have ever seen in my entire life.
Zemma Zae
Omg! Like rite?
hOnestly
For real lol
same
Zemma Zae I know right! I feel slightly attacked at how accurate this video is...
Being picky is not a choice, it's a curse 😅
SingingPixels not really as a child if you eat different kinds of food you can learn to be less picky (or it worked for me) (i get its a joke but still)
+The Pastel potato Not necessarily, half of the population has a gene that causes their taste buds to be extra sensitive to different foods.
Agree
Most of the time its bc you were a spoiled child.
@@kevinbond8966 no its not there are people that doesnt like the taste, texture or even smell like me dont judge without knowing anything
Hello fellow picky eaters! Nice to know I'm not alone in life. :P
Briana G was that an insult?
Briana G hi
Finally someone similar to me...
Chicken T E N D I ES
Picky eaters doesnt mean we hate the food, it just means the we feel like the food is not even edible.
How.Can.You.Throw.Pizza.On.The.Roof.You.Should.Be.Ashamed
Haven’t you watched breaking bad?
john wayne no
You should
theres a thing called a space bar u know.
Somebody Randomish Umm I know.. There is a thing called question mark. You know?
when you thought you were picky then read all the comments and realised you don’t compare lmao
nat ikr especially since everyone calls me weird for what I can’t eat
Why compare levels of pickiness? If you cannot stand certain foods, then why should anybody else care? You’re not hurting anybody, and there’s certainly no competition over pickiness.
nat IKR AND THE VID
nat when you realize you’re worst
Same omg
The worst is the "if you never try it you'll never know!" I DONT WANNA KNOW
ZeeAnneliesse finally someone gets it omg
How do you know you will throw up even tho you never taste it?
Let me answer this... because the smell, texture or sight of it alone is making someone gag, and quite a lot of taste comes from this. Do you want to know what sh*t mixed with vomit tastes like? Even more important, do you want to get used to that taste?
Well, what sh*t is for you (or balut, or one of those weird Asian fruits), yogurt is for me, really anytime you combine a sour taste with milk (e.g. sour cream, cream cheese, young white cheese, mayo...) Even the smell makes me puke. I've forced myself to take a gulp on several occasions and immediately it came right out. The smell alone is often a very good indicator that I'll throw up a food without ever tasting it. I simply don't need to torture myself anymore to convince some a-hole that I'm not joking, or being spoiled or that somehow I don't know how my own body works.
usually i taste it if it looks good but if it is bad no, but i have recently learned as said above, my stomach doesn't like ham, and that not all good looking things taste equally as well XD
Omg same!!!!
“Why are you so picky?”
Damn let me just change my tastebuds real quick sorry about that
"When you tell them that you are already full (even when you aren't) just to avoid eating that food you hate"
I hate it when people think they can force me to try new foods.
Anni S my dad forced me to try something once and i hissed at him
it was so bad that i ran upstairs to escape them
My mom tried and it was a failure ended with me wailing on the floor with untouched vegetables.
my mom shoved chicken down my throat ( not in a harmful way don't worry) when I first started getting more picky and it tasted good luckily but I probably would have accidentally puked on her face
just do it.😐eat it.
Im glad im not alone. I feel bad that people judge me because Im picky.😭
I can finally find my fellow picky eaters.
i am right here. picky eaters shall live on!
IzzyBelle hello friend
Passing da genes
Hi buddy
IzzyBelle hi..
my parents have always questioned what i’m gonna do when i’m older and go on dates at restaurants 💀like i’m just gonna stick with the grilled cheese ty
DUDE ME TOO
"Hey, this is Pizza Hut, how may I help you?"
"Yeah, I'd like to order a cheese pizza with no cheese, sauce, or bread..."
Or when people make fun of you for getting a subway sandwich with like three things on it
Izzy Elias me
I relate to this too much
Izzy Elias
OMG YES! On my subway sandwich I get melted cheese ham and sweet corn and that’s it. I hate cheese and melted cheese but I love it in subways.
THANK YOU! I always get looks when I say that I only want like two or three vegetable options.
Izzy Elias i literally have two things on my sandwich, its so embarrassing and frustrating whrn the worker gives me a look like "are you sure only this?"
YES I KNOW HOW I LIKE SANDWICH!!!
That moment when ppl got so offended over you picking out something you dislike from the food and saying it is a waste of food..........But they themselves refuse to finish the leftovers then just throws it away..................
Im so picky but not only that, I found out this year I have this eating disorder so I'm just gonna leave the definition: "Avoidant/restrictive food intakedisorder (ARFID), previously known asselective eating disorder (SED), is a type of eating disorder, as well as feeding disorder, where the consumption of certain foods is limited based on the food'sappearance, smell, taste, texture, brand, presentation, or a past negative experience ..." 😧
AlexxReyy I can relate to that.
+AlexxReyy
I can relate to that. I once (at age 25) wanted to try tea-flavours (despite hating tea) and I mentioned it to my guidance-counselor (someone that supports you while you become an independend human. I have ADHD). She was the kindof person that tried to 'motivate' people by pressuring them (an awful human being) and so after she'd heard that I was trying to taste new teas (by myself!!!) she made me a strong cup of tea without asking and ordered me to take two large gulps of it. "While it's hot, that way it tastes better!"
She would not take 'No" for an answer and push the cup nearer everytime I tried to speak and tell her why I wasn't ready yet. She told me she was here to help and that I only needed to take one sip." Óne sip. Óne sip, come on! Come ón! Don't be so difficult, come ón! IT'S ONLY ONE SIP!"
I then couldn't stand the pressure, took a sip and gagged. She commanded; 'Swallow it! Come on! Another sip!" which is when I poured the cup empty in the sink and made an official complaint.
She's gone now, luckily. But when people offer me tea and tell me to try the new flavours, I still feel the fear of them, forcing me to drink more if I don't like it. I don't like tea, I like water, why is that such a problem to them.
Heck if I could have a choice on what I eat,I would have this disorder!
+Floorah
I was raised poor and we often had bread on the mouldy side or milk that was nearly spoiled.
But the 'moldy' bread was no problem for me to eat. Neither was an old banana or cold, hard rice.
I'd eat that ány day over a plate of lasagna.
It's not a luxury-problem or something, for me it's mainly the unsafe environment and the pressure that I feel when people tell me to eat something. If there was more compassion and people wouldn't stare at me while I ate something and then demand I swallow it and take another bite, I'd be better at trying foods.
Floorah :3 I hope you mean “wouldn’t” because it’s not a fun thing to have. Whenever people cook or buy something I can’t eat, I feel awful because they spent time and/or money on me and I’m unable to eat it.
When you order chicken wings and there is more salad than chicken wings
I always get made fun of because Im a picky eater..
IM SORRY THAT I FEEL LIKE THROWING UP WHEN I EAT IT
SinonSkylines YES SAME. I hate it when I'm at someone and they made something for you, so you have to eat it and pretend to like it. But then you have to gag constantly and almost throw up the whole time. That's why I don't try new things in public
I can relate so much lol
I relate so much!
I can relate
Exactly and we seemed 'rude' / 'princess' to them lollllll
Is this just me or...
I go to a restaurant with my little cousin and she orders like something so fancy and im like "can i have chicken nuggets."
😂
That happened with my cousins and me where they'd order fancy food and I just want cheese pizza or chicken nuggets
Same when my family goes to subway my sister orders a sandwich that has tuna tomatoes and whatever and I'm just like getting some lays chips and soda 😂
Me too
Heyitzemz1025 y'all are the worst

When friends make fun of you like HOW DO YOU LIVE?😶
0:48 who saw that the pizza 🍕 went on the roof and he saw it with a stare!!! 😂
I relate when I say I don't like a certain food my friends are like "you don't like or eat anything"
Fr
I love pizza, salsa and spaghetti. I just can't stand tomatoes.
Chivas Aurora samee
Chivas Aurora same!!
Chivas Aurora same
sammeeeeee
Chivas Auro that doesn't make sense at all
I have honestly only met two other people in my life that are as picky as I am. I normally only make my own food because I know what texture I like, how long it should be cooked for and how much. I like small portions at a time, so no, McDonald's, when you give me a mcdouble when I asked for a plain bacon cheeseburger, I'm still mad because I didn't want that extra patty. I like my foods to have even flavors, nothing dominating the overall flavor.
*I hate when people cook/bake for me
*I seem rude when I politely refuse food
*I start to get snappy and defensive when people make a big issue over something I've dealt with my whole life.
I like to explain it as;
Take your least favorite food. Take what you don't like about that food and apply it to every new food that you come into contact with.
That's what being picky is like.
Misty srea EXACTLY!!! People are so judgy >:(
People are so judgemental these days, but hey, good thing you can cook. Just wonder you can’t and ur so picky 😬😬😬
Food therapy is an option that can help
@@insertnamehere6205 whats food therapy like? Im genuinely curious
•Qwerty_128• it’s basically a therapeutic course designed to help you get over you picky eating habits
All of these relate to me. It’s really hard going to restaurants...
What's wrong with picky eaters?i mean we just don't like some ingredients on our food...why should we be ashamed?
I have the taste buds of an 8 year old child
Natalia Sak i relate to this on a spiritual level 😭
wait what does that mean
@@EliteRamon it means that he needs to shave his taste buds off
I hate Tomatoes🍅..😣😣.....but i cannot taste them in pizzas so i can enjoy my delicious pizza without any problems!😄😄
Abhipsa Hota lol me too😁
I love tomatoes, they are my favorite
But I hate ketchup
me too
I hate tomatoes and I also hate pizza
I love tomatoes
It's easier to write a list of what I will eat than what I won't eat...
Same
Yikes
Am I the only one who has not ate a food because they don't like the texture? ;-;
I'm the same way, I can't eat anything with a lot of marinara sauce because to me the texture feels like I'm eating puke
Oh yeah, the taste is fine, but texture of poached eggs is just awful... like sucking down cold mucus.
Yep, vegetables in general, it depends on how they are cooked. I don't mind the taste, it's the crunchy feeling.
Mushrooms. Ick! So soft and slimy.
Angelica Maldonado you should probably look into ARFID
WT? Good natured teasing is one thing, but shaming? Oh no.
I worked in food service. A waitperson making comments about a customer is so unprofessional, let alone just rude. If now I ever got shamed by staff I'd leave immediately, and if by "friends" I'd dump them.
Find a better restaurant, find better friends. Be you!
One time I was ordering at a certain burger place (*cough cough* five guys) and i ordered a burger with just lettuce, and the lady goes "....just lettuce? really?" i was like???? yes really.....
That's a clip from the movie "Waiting" and trust me that's the least offensive part of the movie
Sometimes I love the smell of food but I'll never eat it. I don't know why, my mouth is just scared. I relate to these though. And off topic but does anyone else not know how to swallow things like pills ?
I'm exactly everything you described 😂
Or when you’re eating dinner at your best friends house and they don’t have anything you like ...
the struggles are real
When you go to a restaurant with friends and only eat a small bowl of white rice because.
Because you’re boring af
The worst is when you are at a friends house for dinner and their parents make something you hate. I have a Korean friend and once I went to her house for dinner and they were serving Korean BBQ. I went to serve myself, and there were fish eyes. FISH EYES!!!!!!! My friend forced me to try is and after I ate it, I ran to the bathroom and threw up. At least we still hang out.
my dearest
Guess what? Not everybody likes those foods, so stfu.
my dearest
Weeaboo
I think you mean, saying "Plain" All the time.
Yup like saying just meat on the burger and they look confused........" like so you only want the patty" me : yeah I ordered a burger just for the patty maybe a bit of bread.......just maybe
When I was in preschool the only way you could bring your own lunch is if you were allergic to something, so I told my teacher I was allergic to meat...anyway, she obviously didn’t believe me but I was her favorite student so...
Also side note during nap time she drew pictures of me and then gave them to my mom. She was super creepy.
Weird flex but ok
I know right! I used to go to summer camp and they would always have like grilled cheese and beans and milk but this one time we went to the zoo and they had one thing I liked and my favorite leader said "have as many as you want!" The other times I just didn't have lunch. It wasn't overnight tho so I ate a big breakfast but one of the mean teachers used to come and they were like "eat a bite of food or you will get reported" and we can't bring packed lunches bc "they get paid by the government to get food and ALL of the kids have to eat their food... Atleast they had snacks I liked sometimes but that was around when I got picked up

Video: “I don’t eat cheese”
Me: *stuffing mozzarella cheese in my mouth*
Its not even subtle I'll take toppings off my food with my fingers and place them on a napkin on the table so theyre as far from my food as possible
This is why I find it difficult to be in a relationship because I am so scared of telling people that I'm a picky eater
bethan davies Same. My mom says that I will never find a girl xD
bethan davies Bruh i feel you
Honestly one of my biggest fears
When you're so picky you can't actually eat out because you won't try it and literary just live on toast....just me ok bye
Me:Moom I’m hungry!!
Mom:eat that leftover spaghetti from the other night
Me:I don’t want leftovers
Mom:then your not hungry
I hate that parents say that to their kids but it’s completely different for them
Here's the thing with picky eaters that I've learned as a chef, their taste buds arnt as strong as they think they are. I've cooked for my picky friends hundreds of times and I hide all sorts of things in their food and they can never tell. I even tricked one of my friends to eat mushrooms that I chopped up really tiny and mixed them into my meat sauce for spaghetti. She ate it couldn't tell they were there and after I told her she said she would eat them as long as I cooked them like that for her. And I'm sure people are going to reply to this saying "well you couldn't trick me like that I could totally tell" blah blah blah.
Miss_Kisa94 that would be awesome id love to try new foods but some times the texture or taste is off putting and makes me gag, like in your example i hate mushrooms the texture bounces off my theeth. But the way you describe it makes it seem not so bad.
I agree, however if they are like me and don't like cheese, it is very hard to hide that and make me like it. In fact, the only thing with cheese that I like is gold fish.
Well heres the thing with cheese there are hundreds of types of cheese that all taste different. Some cheeses are even sweet and get mixed into desserts like cream cheese for example. if you don't like cheese but want to try it I recommend picking a cheese with a subtle flavor and then mixing it into something like a sauce or soup. Be careful though some cheeses melt and mix better than others. =)
Yeah if you ever have problems with a food particularly vegetable or fruit but you want to eat them for what ever reason like for the health benefits they might have. I recommend chopping them small or blending them and mixing them into something with a strong flavor like a sauce or gravy. You can even blend them into a puree for smoothies, spinach is a popular thing to hide in smoothies. I found a good cake recipe that has hidden beets and avocado but the chocolate is such a strong flavor you can't tell.
Miss_Kisa94 why do you think people hate mushrooms? Because they're slimy and disguised, if you chop them off real small, you can barely notice their texture soo
I don't even know why I'm commenting but merry Christmas everyone

So true
Hi Im Mina
Ask irl, not online
The mockery always frustrates me..
To be honest the mockery doesn't bother me all that much. Since they are friends, they are always joking.
i pooped on the carpet
I feel ya... Most of my family ridicules me for liking ketchup (yum) but not tomatoes (yuck)
You are a burden on everyone you love
The mockery frustrates you? Thats the consequences of being a picky eater, deal with it.
Dark Flame you say that like it's a choice. Yes, some people enjoy a fatty steak, but there's a decent chance I'll throw up if I bite into a fatty hunk in mine. It's like running into a wad of used bubblegum in the middle of your dinner.
The only meats I eat are fish and chicken, occasionally beef but only in burgers. And I constantly get mocked by my family members since I don't eat laksa, rendang or any fried rice that isn't cooked by someone I know.
Also any onion that comes into contact with my toungue triggers my urge to throw up....
we have much in common, with (mostly) the meat thing ( barely ever eat fish, I eat chicken, turkey, and burger, once in a while steak (like, i think I ate one like a year ago), but well done only on all meat) and the onion thing especially!!
I don’t eat and like laksa too! Just don’t like the taste of it in general!
Oh my goodness! I am not alone! I have had all of these moments more then once! Love this!
usually people list out what fruit or veggies they don't eat.. but for me I list only that I can eat... before it was way worst..
missing out on meals and events because you know there will be nothing that appeals to you. sobbing in public places bc the menu has nothing that you can eat. the frustration of not being able to "just order" something because you know it will just be a waste of money and produce. being deemed as fussy even though trying to attempt said food will cause you to violently gag and throw up. when everyone draws attention to your eating habits and in turn shame you which just ends up inflating your anxiety issues. growing up poor and opting not to eat and making up excuses so nothing goes to waste. friends and family making an example of you. friends and family making your eating habits a bigger deal than they actually are and making situations harder than they would have been.
spending your entire life being berated and belittled for being a picky eater but going to a restaurant and trying something new 💪🏻
trying something new whilst all the people that have picked at and shamed your disorderly eating for years stick to the plainest and blandest options possible 💪🏻
aleaffff I relate so much to this! Since I was a child I have had food anxiety. This means that whenever I'm presented with a new type of food my anxiety explodes and I just want to cry and disappear. My "diet" is really restricted and the worst part is when I have to eat with other people around, for example,at a restaurant or at a friend's house. I panic and sometimes I have panic attacks because of food. It is the worst part because people judge me and think I'm a freak. Some people had the guts to directly call me a freak. I feel lonely because even my mom says I'm insane and that doesn't help. Also a thing that also doesn't help is when my grandmother tells me to eat like "normal" people. That just destroys me. She tells me that because she cares about my health but when she says that to me I feel like a monster. In a couple of weeks I have my best friend's birthday party and she wants to go to a restaurant have dinner and I'm already stressing out about it! I don't wish this on my worst enemy. Some nights ago,for some reason, I started thinking about my food anxiety and I started crying an ocean. People don't understand how much this hurts and how excluded they make me feel.
I'm a really picky eater, and whenever I'm at my friends house, her mum often cooks things I don't like. But my friend knows that I don't want to seem rude, and I end up throwing the food away and waiting until I get home to have my pasta and cheese.
I always get weird stares by my family when I don't like the food and then I just feel dissapointed and later I just start feeling depresses about it
If I don't make it myself there is a 90% chance I won't eat it
Kelechi Ndukwu Change that 90% to a 98%... 98% is me
i’m like the pickiest person ik
Sameee

me too and all my friends and family just eat everything for christmas lunch i had a vegemite sandwich, beetroot and egg how exotic
You’re probably the only person you know
Watching my friend inspect his burgers before he eats them will never stop being funny to me 😂
Here are things I hate that everyone else seems to love: milk or similar beverage on cereal, stove top stuffing, mashed potatoes, watermelon.
I always think I’m a pick eater but them I see other picky eaters and I realize I’m not actually that picky lol
beeexcited same
Same!
I always thought I wasn't picky because my sister is incredibly picky but then I realized that I am, it's just that she makes EVERYONE look like a very adventurous, non-picky eater
beeexcited I used to think I wasn't a picky eater when I was younger but now when I tell people that I don't like meat, vegetables, fruit, spices and anything that tastes artificial I just wait for the reaction like yeah I get the point you like more food than me.
NO MUSHROOMS, NO TOMATOES, NO MAYO, NO AVOCADO, NOT FATBACK, NO CHITLINS OR LIVER OR ANYTHING OF THAT SORT, NO MUSTARD!!!
I'm the same way!!!!!
Except that I can tolerate mayo
This is sooo relatable!😂
I have bulimia and it's a struggle to get me to even eat. We when I do it's hard to find something. So this video is very relatable because my entire life I have been a very extremely picky eater.
When I order a hamburger I say "Just the patty!"... They still give me everything I didn't want.
Ting Tong The Russian Spy Because that's a burger. "just the patty" are you serious? Just starve.
Gee, and I thought I was bad removing my tomatoes and pickles in my burger...
That happens all the time but what I do is I say no toppings quite loud but it gets the point through and since not many people order it will be really fresh👌
Wtf did I just watch When I don’t eat, I get really emotional. I physically can’t eat foods I don’t like. My body doesn’t let me swallow.
Same! I only like pickles and meat on my hamburger
1:54 THATS EXACTLY HOW I LIKE MY BURGER
K. Kwan I don’t even like cheese on it
funny thing i dont eat burgers at all
K. Kwan I like my burger with tomato lettuce onions and ketchup p
K. Kwan SAME
Same, I hate the pickles especially. And the tomatoes just make it watery.
I... Don't like cheese😂
I AGREE!
Pinkfluffy keepsinging same except parmiggiano reggiano
Me too I hate it
Same
Pinkfluffy keepsinging HOW
It sucks when you are allergic to everything and everybody thinks you are picky.
I always look up the menu of a new restaurant to make sure there is atleast on thing I am willing to eat
Melo same
that's smart!
That's extremely picky. I get not liking one or two things, but you make it sound like some places only have ONE thing you can eat?
Depending on what type of restaurant that sometimes is the case. I don't eat pork, lamb, or most meats. Only chicken and beef if it's ground or burger. So if it's a nice restaurant that's like 60% of the menu on my will not eat list. Plus, I have a big issue with textures. So even if it's a go-to food, if it's made in a specific way it becomes completely inedible to me. I can't stand soggy chicken. Any dishes with chicken made in a sauce is a no go for me too. Sometimes that strikes out all the chicken dishes. So that's like another 70% of the menu gone and consider the rest includes desserts, sides, and drinks it's more like 90%. It's crazy I know but it's not just about not liking things. Some textures will literaly make me gag. Looking at the menu before takes away the stress of not being able to find anything while I'm there.
ParadiseLost My parents like a lot of spicy food and things that are mixed together and stuff like that. That makes going to a Mexican restaurant hell. But, as long as there is fish on the menu, I'll be okay.
Doesn't matter if you're a picky eater or not in college. If it vaguely resembles food *you eat it*
UnPhayzable nope. not relatable at all. I still have standards
I would still not eat it. Maybe not for other picky eaters, but for me there are plenty of cheap options I don't hate.
Nope, not at all. In fact I'm fussier now than ever before
UnPhayzable can't relate at all
UnPhayzable
In what circumstances?

FloppyRabbit HAHAHA
FloppyRabbit

Eugene being drunk in this video made my day 😂
This is the most relatable video of my whole entire life. Just saying.
this was not relatable

Omg SAAAMMMEEE
Gracie Hart same
I am Muslim but Merry Christmas everybody!!! :)
Thank you ❤ Happy holidays to you, too!
I love how Muslims & Jews have literally no problem hearing and even saying, "Merry Christmas", but as soon as a Trump supporter hears "Happy Holidays", they're "oppressed". Happy New Year!
Being a picky eater has annoyed literally everyone in my life, up to the point where I sometimes go to bed without dinner because my parents refused to make something for me
This is definitely relatable, BUZZ FEED!!!
I don't want to be a picky eater I would try to force my self to eat everything but if I don't like the food I'm gonna throw it up I don't know why my body reacts like that it just does
I used to have milk on my cereal, but it would always leave me a bit sickly feeling afterward. Turns out I'm lactose intolerant. Now I have lactose free milk, and it tastes better and never leaves me feeling like I've been poisoned.
You may have digestive issues or food allergies. Or even nutritional/bacterial deficiencies that make some food indigestible.
J. C. Interesting I'll check that out thanks for the info 😄
I really like beef hotdogs but if I eat them I get terrible stomach aches. So now I only eat Turkey hot dogs
Same
It's not that I hate the food, I literally just can't eat it. Like bananas. I cant put it in my mouth cause it's mushy and ughh.
Janiya Same

Janiya Same. I cant eat tomatoes. They are really disgusting.
cool head gaming I taste them. I hate tomatoes.I love only tomato sause on pizza
cool head gaming What food do you hate? Everyone have different tastes. I love eggs.
The most relatable video that I've ever seen in my entire life.
Eugene eye-balling it
Oh god I can relate to most of these. I have an eating disorder called ARFID or SED which stands for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder or Selective Eating Disorder (It by the way has nothing to do with Body image or trying to loose/gain weight). For me that means that, since I've been a toddler (or basically earlier than I can remember) I haven't been able to eat any fruits and vegetables and also some other things. It doesn't really have to do with taste, but rather with the consistency and a certain type of panic and anxiety. For me there is a clear difference between foods I don't like (taste wise) and things I can't eat because of my ARFID. For me, especially as a young child, it was actually really hard to be told that I was sooo picky and that I should just get over myself, since I don't chose to be this way. It's not a choice like for example going on a restrictive diet of some sort. I always felt like I was being blamed that I can't control. Now I am 17 and I found out about 3 years ago about ARFID (Before that I knew that something was wrong but I didn't know that it was a known disorder). Last year I did a year of therapy and am now able to eat 3 or 4 new foods, but when I moved I stopped therapy for now. It really is the most awkward thing when you try to order in a restaurant "not this topping and not that side"-style, especially because for me, I don't like to be complicated (I know, the irony right?) and I also don't want to offend the chef or anything but you know, you gotta do what you gotta do :) I hope that I will learn to manage it better over time and for anyone else out there who has ARFID/SED too: It's not hopeless and it's ok to be this way :)
LikeLisa ME TOO... i'm not choosing to be picky i just can't help it, and when people say i'm missing out on trying all of these different foods i can't bring myself to care because i'd get too anxious to try it anyway :/
Eri Desu I know what that’s like, I try to be open about eating new things but I just can’t, every time I order a subway sandwich I only put cheese, ham and bacon on it. I’ve never been able to eat veggies every since I was three because of an incident that happened when I was a toddler ( My aunt made me eat an entire plate of rotten veggies and she didn’t believe me when I said they were rotten) to this day the only way I can eat veggies now is through baby food (you can judge me whatever) I hate eating foreign food because of their unique taste ( that makes me sound racist I’m sorry, it’s not you it’s me) However lately over the past two years I’ve started to like more things, but I’m still really picky. (Also I find bananas sorta spicy, but I think that’s because I have a mild allergy, goodbye and happy holidays’
For the longest time, I thought it was because I was a stubborn person or that people were able to get over the taste and texture by realizing that the food they were eating was healthy for them. I tried so hard to create that mindset for myself but it always failed. I found out earlier this year about SED. It made me realize that I'm not crazy or that I am a picky eater by choice. It's really hard to explain to people about it and have to deal with relatives at family meals but, know that I know about it, I've been able to feel less stressful about my situation.
LikeLisa I probably have that too. I can’t eat most foods that I used to LOVE and I feel so lost. But thanks for sharing because now I am hopeful
ARFId or SED is a disease prevalent in soon to be suicidal patients, please return to your weekly meetings with your doctor and treat yourself with care.
i relate HARD.
When the only food on the table that u like has been touched by another food
This is so relatable! But I can’t agree with the one about the family meal; my parents won’t let me eat a separate meal😂
Once my mom made me a cheeseburger and when I refused to eat it she was like “since when have you not liked cheese on your burger” since I was 5. Then shes like just pick it off. I CAN’T DO THAT THE TASTE IT LINGERS!
Not to mention the cheese has melted over the burger to some degree, so it's practically impossible to get all the cheese off.
unless its a slice of cheese
Who do not like pickles or mustard? ✋🏻
Does it count if I can only stand Claussen dill spears?
Jo4233 I don't
Jo4233 ✋🏼
I don’t
I don't mind pickles but I would never touch mustard
This is so relatable, it's bad!😭😂
Ok... I hate lettuce, mayo, mushrooms, mustard, olives, pickles, onions, pork, pineapple, and shrimp.
Not olives 😭
Gracie Hart no green olives
Gracie Hart same same I love you
Lettuce mustard pickles pineapple and shrimp are DELICIOUS
For me it's easier to list what I will eat than what I won't eat...
I took a cooking course with a group last year. Whatever we made, we had to eat. We made the most disgusting, soggy quiche full of mushrooms, cheese and big *warm* slices of tomato.
Everyone loved it.
But it was torture.
Both because the mushrooms
And because of the warm tomatoes.
I mean, I like tomatoes
But not when they're warm.
That's...
Ugh
I can't explain my hatred for warm tomatoes.
Once I went over to my friends house when they were having burgers and I didn’t have the heart to tell them I was vegetarian so I just suffered and ate it
Holly Bogert ?? why are you vegetarian if you would just eat meat in any uncomfortable situation? Stick up for yourself.
Holly Bogert oooh
Oh god
MY SISTER IS A VEGGIETRAIN
I’m not vegan but I don’t eat meat from animals I love the animals too much
when people say “I bet you don’t like anything”
I am literally the pickiest eater ever!!
