The Other Guys: Celebrating 120 Years of St. Andrews Girls
The Other Guys invite you to join them in celebrating 120 years of St Andrews Girls. Our tongue-in-cheek parody takes you on a journey around this Fife costal town as we try and shake off our rebuff from the now Duchess of Cambridge, formerly Kate Middleton. We try, and fail, to acquire a match at Britain's "top-match-making-university".
The video celebrates two special milestones. First, it recognises the 120th Anniversary of the admittance of female students to the 600 year old institution, The University of St Andrews. Second, it celebrates forty years of wonderful work by the charity Breast Cancer Care.
Beyond the laughs, the video seeks to raise awareness and money for this truly amazing charity. Every year 50,000 people hear the devastating news that they have this life-threatening illness, 300 of those who are diagnosed are men. Breast Cancer Care is there for every one of them, providing expert information and professional support when it's needed most. The group know first hand how this can affect individuals and their families and by donating to, and raising awareness for, Breast Cancer Care we hope to help people through that very difficult time.

Brilliant, just like all their other songs. Heard The Other Guys in concert two weeks ago here at St Andrews, obviously with a partly different ensemble due to graduating members, but they were just fantastic, had a great stage presence and made the entire audience laugh and cheer throughout the concert. Superb a cappella group.
I am just amazed that they have time to do all this for the past 2 years ... when I went there I was losing my mind during May with all the exams. Great video guys!

Thanks for doing this. I only just found it, after re-visiting Bad Romance. Someone very close to me was diagnosed with breast CA in 2011. I'm Malaysian, living in KL. We have good support here but I also wanted all the resources I could get when it happened. Breast Cancer Care was fantastic.
Whatever your opinions on Fife or your prejudices of the boys themselves, you have to commend them for this amazing effort to raise money for a really worthy cause, and by doing it in a fun, entertaining way. I think that's the real point of this video.

Great work, guys - and, you know something, I don't expect that any cancer sufferer (or their family) who benefits from the care provided by the money you raise will care a whit where you were educated, whether your parents paid for it or what accent you speak with. They'll just be grateful you bothered to give up time to do something worthwhile. Wonder how much the few less supportive commentators here have done for charity in the past month/year.

I studied at StAndrews for 2 years before dropping out a week into 3rd year, hated it with a slow burning passion. Its a place unlike anywhere else ive ever been in my life. Sure it wasnt for me and this isnt either- but these guys seem to be having fun so power to them especially if charity is involved :)!

fbspin I didnt feel i really connected with anybody on an intimate level (for which i dont blame anyone but myself). So i gradually withdrew from the things id enjoyed doing up there before, then after a while, even though i was surrounded by people i was amicable with, i felt pretty alone.
Im studying elsewhere now and im really enjoying it :)!

Love the people whining about "mummy and daddy" paying for education. The UK is blessed to have heavily subsidized education. I live in the US and am going to be paying upwards of $100,000 for my education after interest, and I go to a pretty average school (78% acceptance rate, nothing special). The high level ones are $200,000 to attend before interest. Stop whining.
I'm pretty sure I've attributed to about 1,000 of the views.
