This charity single is in support of Women for Women International Society of the University of St Andrews, a university-run branch of Women for Women International. ‘Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency. Since 1993, Women for Women International has reached over 500,000 women survivors of war. The non-profit organisation currently operates in eight conflict-affected countries: Afghanistan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kosovo, Nigeria, Iraq, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
This St Andrews branch was established in 2012 and continues to work hard to raise as much money as possible for this transformative charity, as well as increase awareness of the charity in the local community.
