I loved Ed Byrne and Hugh Dennis' bad pun exchange .
Yep! Drolled to death. It would have been nice to have had Stephen 'Melchett' Fry making "Behhhh!" noises in the background.
Especially Ed's scripted joke about conspiracy theorists.

I shed soy sauce tears - what a heartrending, rollercoaster ride this poem was. Perfectly portrayed the human condition, the everyman‘s daily struggle! I don’t think I’m being too bold when I proclaim that this is comparable to Thomas Hardy’s “In Time of ‘The Breaking of Nations’”. Bravo to you, Phil! Bravo!!

To be fair to Eric, this could be read as sarcastic since it doesn't have an exclamation point at the end. If you read this out with a flat delivery, it sounds like classically dry British sarcasm.

She gives him the choice of continuing to wear shoes in the house or "continue having sex with this age-defying Eastern physique." I think it covers both her stand-up and her last line in Scenes.

Honestly, since the masks went on, I've been cultivating a Guy Fawkes inspired monstrosity of facial hair that winds up in my mouth while I teach. With the right clothes, some sepia tone, and a Ken Burns narration, I would be hard to distinguish from many historically warlike figures. I think of it as job security in case of accidental time travel: Body Double for hire.
