I have a friend that played with and interviewed the leader Daevid Allen. He was a genius. R.I.P. Daevid.

Anything Gong would "sprinkle" on you would cause hallucinations for sure. These guys and gals were tripping balls constantly. I posted a video of them in the off-topic on discord awhile back where they were tripping in Montserrat. Fantastic stuff here. It makes me feel young listening to this.

Great song from a great band. This from 1974. Gong at this time were always a journey, a welcome relief from standard rock. A great Euro line up led by an Australian. Liked Steve Hillage's influence at this time.
Good choice Mark and a nice reaction 🙂

Always good to hear some "lunar music" with Gong and Steve Hillage.

I saw them do this live at Tramps in NYC, back in the mid 90s. The air was thick with weed smoke. When the sax solo kicked in, I levitated.

Ah... Gong!! A bunch of pot headed pixies demonstrating that somethings can be so far ahead of their time that even those who thought of themselves as being 'at the cutting edge' were 'old hat' - which is probably why they aren't as appreciated even today as musicians of their skill and versatility perhaps ought to be.
I'm currently playing with a guy who apparently was hanging around that whole late 60's early 70's 'space'/'psychedelia' rock scene in good ole England, who says very disparaging things about Gong, Hawkwind and that whole scene while denying that Daevid Allen was an Aussie... Who'd a thunk?!! They insult the music now that they hung around then, whilst still wanting to claim one of the major personalities behind the scene as one 'of their own'. Humans - we're a funny lot.
"Bang the Gong!!" Or is it "Bong the Gong!" Either way "Enjoy!!"
