    Minnesota fan here, our biggest rivalry is Paul Bunyan's Ax vs Wisconsin or the little brown jug against Michigan

      As a PSU fan; we look at duh OSU as our rival. No one cares about the bell trophy or whatever monstrosity we have with Michigan State.

    You are very sharp, so i am stunned u did mot mention what may have been Penn state’s most heartbreaking loss in school history in 1999 on a last second field goal against Minnesota when penn state was ranked second in the nation and was 9-0

    I was at that 1993 game. My brother was a Penn State student at the time and got tickets for us. They gave our commemorative coins celebrating the first B1G game for PSU. I think I still have it somewhere.

    I don't know why and I'm sure I'm wrong, but something tells me we might see a video where a mid-major schools asks a big, prominent program to have a home and away only to be rejected by the big school because they didn't want to play a "small school" to hurt their prestigious image.

  • @marcus813
    @marcus813 Před rokem +2

    They play for a trophy, but the B1G has tons of trophy games and in the 30 seasons Penn State football has played in the B1G, it has played Minnesota in barely more than half those seasons. The term "rivalry" is a bit of a stretch in their case. Ohio State and Penn State have more of a rivalry than this, having met every year that Penn State has been a member with some important games in the series.
    With that said, Minnesota and Penn State should've discussed the finer financial details long before the mid-'80s.

    This unofficial Jaguar Gator 8 historian will remind everyone you made a video about how the Metrodome had a conflict between the Golden Gophers and Twins in 2003, and how the resolution was met by the coach of the Gophers’ opponent, Michigan’s Lloyd Carr.

      Even with Aikman, OU had trouble scoring on Minn in '85. The game was a slogfest. Of course, OU won, but they had to grind it out.
