Why bother attacking the atreides base that early? Wouldn't it be better to liberate all of their villages and starve him out until he can't make units anymore?
3:43 - that's... immediately and so obviously broken: If you have enough skirmishers, either they get defeated in detail, or they concede an ungodly bonus to you.
main bases are VERY tanky in this patch or am I just delusional? xD plus the rally point feature allowing to spawn troops away from the base, sieges are very difficult 36:00 the Siege tech (tier 4 military) also helps, but you would have to rush it for an early kill
Its so hard now that they removed the ability to strip armor. It was already difficult to burn 40,000hp with 0 armor, now you gotta do that much when it has 10 armor. I had siege incentives here and it hardly help to tickle the base. The vulnerability operation would have been helpful but it is 500 intel which is a heavy price with intel gains drastically reduced as well.
I have done it with Fremen, but they surely struggle with it more than some of the premier base killers like Harks/Corrino/Smugglers. Defense Breeches are mandatory, and you really need your flagship to tank missile shots from the base. A lot of the strength of the Fremen army comes from their very strong AoE via Skirmishers and Feydakin--but AoE doesn't help at all versus a base so you're stuck with kinda sub-par single target dps. Maybe we need a How To Kill a Base video...
@@daevohk Not sure how well they line up with your more aggressive playstyle. They can aggress a bit, but I don't see them wiping out bases any time soon.
3:40 not fricken wonder. Was playing harkonnen and had a fully vet upped force. Went in to attack the Fremin because they declaired on me. First second I entered their area they spawned all their units on me and all my units die instantly. (Was the CPU) and I did not even get to fire a shot. Whole games worth of military wiped in a instant. So I finally know why. All my units were clustered up due to pathing. So the skermishers must have had their bonus delete my whole army.
The problem is that there's no.... counter to this. If you spread your units too much to avoid giving the bonus, they'll have all of their force, vs small portions of your force and you just die in pieces (vs all at once I guess).
Its tough, they can progress very fast. Need to prioritize agents on counter intelligence, maybe invest in the blue tech for a third agent in it. Then need to be fast about cell searching when you detect the assassination or position troops/defenses to try and catch assassins before they get to the cells they have established at you
For the fedaykin pronunciation, in the audiobook it is like "Fuh-dye-can" but that being said there are several things they pronounce different in the movie so I'd say just go with what feels right to you 😆
pronounce it like fedayeen but just kin, like the word for family, instead of een,, seems like the amalgamation frank herbet was kinda going for with that term
my thoughts on the pronunciation of Feydakin Id say pronounce it the eastern arab way - as the fremen were heavily based on the mujahedin and other arab groups. Infact so much of the dune narative is based on groups out in the middle east who have a different opinon on the borders of nations, and what nations are called to those in power and those of us from the west. The borders we see on maps don't bear much resemblance to reality on the ground. without getting too political - the reason afganistan and syria, or pakistan and northern india are such a bloody mess is because the local people dont believe either nation exists.. and instead they are multiple nations with borders in different places. So In my opinion its Fey - Dah - Keen - when put in context.
still waiting for the advisor's of defeated factions leaving to other players, giving buffs to other players in the same way that thufir, gurney and paul became useful to the harkonnens, smugglers and fremen
Fremen - can win against any enemy army, but cant finish a single base
in civ5+6 there is no need for base building, just build only archers, and 3ish melee units and 3ish transport boats and you are set to sin.
@@ollllj There's transport boats in Civ5 and 6?!!?!?
@kreg857 If I'm not wrong there' a tech you can research that allows you to move across sea with your troops
Always looking out for your videos
Great stuff as usual bro, keep it up!
Assassination attempts are hard to stop when you only have 2 on counter intel, the 3rd slot makes the progression tick down 50% faster
I was banking on the fact that he was so far away it would take time to get assassins to me, but clearly I still needed to be faster!

Its way harder to kill the main base in this patch. And fremen units do a good punch.

Word on the street is we might see a hotfix this week to cap that sort of thing. Fingers crossed!

Yo, can we get a house Vernius game please?~
I still have no idea what to do against main bases
And tried all upgrades and intels

Waiting some Vernius gameplay.
My Vernius attempts have been complete disasters!
I think thats been the universal experience, still entertaining to watch tough :)

@@daevohkpeople LOVE disaster content. It's so fun to watch people struggle while playing lol
