    I just bought the direto XRT, and I have 2 questions. 1. I am using the shimano di2 12 speed on my drivetrain, and I have also bought a new set of 12 spd cassette for the trainer, do I need to buy a new freehub or can I pop the cassette on the freehub that comes pre-installed? 2. I don't have the cassette lock ring tightener tool to install the freehub, is there a makeshift tool that I can use to do it insteaD?

      Hi Mattia,
      12-speed cassette is compatible with the standard Shimano body.
      You can find the key to unscrew the adapter at the link: shopelite-it.com/en/sensors-adaptors-and-heart-rates/adapters/tool-rotating-right-nut-justo-direto-xr-suito.
      Alternatively, you can remove the 2 or 3 smallest sprockets of the cassette (special spanners are needed) and then you can remove the adapter with a 17 mm spanner.

    On my bike i have a ultegra 11 speed and I have spare 10-speed. Can I use the 10-speed on the Elite? It makes a bit of a noise. And I wonder if whether I should use 1 or 2 spacers. And is the space between the rings different with a 10 and 11-speed? And I have Di2 should I change some settings when I use it on the Elite with a 10-speed? Lot of questions, but I really need to know... Thanks in advance.

    Hello!
    I have 10spd cassette and I installed it with 1 spacer... however there is still play in the sprockets. Should I try and use 2 spacers?
    Thanks for the help!

      Try using a 1.85mm spacer. You will need to adjust your rear derailleur to ensure proper shifting afterwards (this is the part that I hate because each weekend I have to readjust it back to my wheel when I go out for a ride. Elite should make something so that someone doesn't have to adjust it each and every time they put it on/take it off.

      @@hagakuru Thank mate! I just slapped on two spacers and adjusted the RD and it works fine.

    Hello. I have ultegra 6800 10 speed cassette. Do i need 1 or 2 spacers?
    I have now one that was delivered with the elito, and the one that was delivered toghether with the cassette. Have i done it right? :)
    Love the trainer, so perfect with Zwift.

      Hi there, with a 10-speed cassette only 1 spacer is required.
      In some cases, however, since the spacesof the cassettes are not always perfectly the same, it might be useful to add the second spacer, but most likely just one is enough. Then you should adjust the rear derailleur and try using it. If you notice problems after this calibration, such as noise or difficulty inserting or removing the larger or smaller sprocket, you can insert the second spacer.
      However, you must use a 10-speed cassette, not the one that came with the Suito since it's a 11s cassette.

    Hello, on my elite suito t hometrainer I have a 11-28 cassette, on my canyon bike I have a 11-30 cassette. Can I use the 11-28 cassette or have I to change the cassette ? thanks

    • @elitecycling
      @elitecycling  Před 7 měsíci

      Good morning,
      the best solution would be to use the same cassette of the bike even on the trainer, but if that is not possible, you can use the one installed on the trainer.
      However, in doing so, please take note that in certain sprockets, the shifting may not be 100% smooth because the chain and gearing of the bike are slightly different than the sprockets of the installed cassette.
      In this case, the bicycle's frame and groupset need some small (micro) adjustments of the rear derailleur or of the spacers inside the cassette in order to perfect their efficiency.
      For these adjustments, we advise contacting a professional mechanic to streamline the functions of the bicycle + trainer system.
      We remain at disposal.
      Best regards

    Hello, My wife's old bike has 8 speed cassette, is it possible to use the trainer with it using spacers?

    • @elitecycling
      @elitecycling  Před rokem +1

      Hi, ni (half way between sì and no 🙂). You can make it work by adding 2 or 3 spacers. It'll work but never smoothly. A lot of people do that anyway

      I was actually just trying to do this myself and no luck. Without a spacer I derail if I go too low.
