  • Teaser raw footage of interview with Lewis, who I interviewed for my documentary on the history of graffiti in Philadelphia. The final film will be way more condensed than this. Just figured some people might like to watch some extended comments.

    Even when Julio 204 was gettin up @ his best back in the day-he had never tagged a plane nor Elephant, let alone imaged writing on a police car-hence this is how "Cornbread" appealed to the media & beyond- he made an IMPACT on da game in a way then- that many of the most noteworthy writers of now, could never

    He is a really cool guy, I am a business partner of Cornbread, so I got lucky enough to meet Lewis, he tagged a piece of paper for me, I have it hanging up... what a great guy!

      if you are a business partner of cornbreads how come he lies about movies made after him and jets with propellers( wow he said the 747 jet had a propeller, he is retarded and not a good liar either) jackson 5 also never had a private jet and no jet has a propeller, and ronald fair had the character cornbread in his book long before cornbread got the nickname and earl was a character in the book too, the book is hog butcher and is in the opening credits of the movie, why you move with such a low down sneaky ass lying dude, who steals people's intellectual property and tries to pass it off as his own story, show him this comment and let him know you have now caught him in his lies....then take him to the youtube channel subway outlaws nyc and show him the videos and ask him to explain how he can lie so much....a jet with a propeller, what an idiot, you been bamboozled, fooled, hoodwinked, a hoax has been played on you brother wise up....and by the way lewis just stated he started graffiti not cornbread, so can yall get it right, cuz dr. cool is also quoted in the philly papers saying "i mentored that boy on the walls" and in sly artistic city cool earl says by 1968 they started writing and he and kool klepto kid never even heard of cornbread yet....come on man!!!!!!

    No one ever said there wasnt a movement in Philly But the whole story of writing culture existing because of Cornbread and Philly just isnt so. Until someone can proove everyone else got it from Cornbread the man should stop calling himself THE GODFATHER...and keep it real. He did his thing in philly and so did a lot of others but as far as the writing culture that we know STARTING in Philly thats more fiction than fact. This guy seems real enough. Respect. But the whole it began there? Nope!

      +Robert Moran Thanks for commenting.....it WAS "Cool Earl" with the king's crown at the top of his scribble....But "Cornbread" was everywhere too....hard to pick a champ in Philadelphia....subway stations were a good format for publicity....the trolley stopped and there they were,right in your face.....but it was cool for me. What ever happened to "Cool Earl"? My great granddaughter and her cousin saw graffiti on a bridge last year [they are 7 and 6 yrs. old...I told them about Cornbread and Cool Earl and the thought it was so cool that they went around all day saying to people they didn't even know "Do you know Cornbread and Cool Earl?" with all the zest and fun little girls can have....I don't know why, but that made me proud and sad at the same time...Know what I mean? Thanks again for clearing that up for me....for some reason,because of the crown I guess, I thought it was King Earl......I'm gettin' old

      Hey Bob.....you should check out my Grandson about pictures of shit all over Philadelphia...he has a couple of published books about people and there surroundings in the poor districts that he grew up in and around....but watch out for "Crazy Little Mikey" he is a total bad ass white boy that takes NO shit from anyone...same for my Matt....but Matt isn't as nuts as Mikey....his name is Mathew Gallagher,from Juniata Park....his books are amazing....the kid has an eye for the downtrodden....I say kid because he is my grandson.

    @SneaksForFreaks even from that perspective lets get back to roman times where they already had forms of writing around there was graffiti where anti political activist would paint n crave on walls to get a message out n it wasnt legal my friend n i agree 100% with you it could have been derived from that but whos to say

  • @WrathOfDemons
    @WrathOfDemons Před 13 lety

    @SneaksForFreaks exactly s to say that graff came from one place in the modern age is extremely ignorant
