He is The chanell of all the powers chanelled through the band. So theres no point to change him. He is also great for new tracks, ofc when you are middle aged the shrieks dont come out like when you was a teen. And i can tell this by experience.
No, black metal (with the exception being sone DSBM) just needs to phase out the high pitched shrieks altogether. The only part of black metal I've really struggled with through the years. They very occasionally sound cool but most of the time they just sound goofy and take away from the mood of otherwise great songs. But I know a lot of people dig them a lot and what the fuck do I know anyway? 😂
