These guys are chill asf! I luckily got the privilege to meet them right before they blew up and got huge! My dad's friend win tickets to a little meet and greet show they did with RXP 103.9 radio station in Colorado Springs the radio station was playing their first hit Cone with me now before it ended up on the bigger radio stations. Well my dad's friend couldn't go had to work that day so he offered them to my dad but he also had to work so his friend asked if I would be able to go and unluckily I didn't have to work that day lol It was pretty cool they played 4 songs then chilled and talked with all the people who won tickets to this little meet and greet. I thought it was pretty awesome everyone that was there all won tickets to it no one was able to pay to go to it so I thought that was very cool but what made it the best was that it was held at an old elementary school that was closed down and turned into a brewery lol the coolest thing tho was the fact that I went to that elementary school when I was in 1st grade and hadnt been back since until that meet and greet lmfao they had free draft beer since the place was a big brewery haha I had a blast drink beer where I used to play around in the gym roflmfao burnt these guys are pretty awesome down to earth ppl and fir them to take their time and meet some fans and get to know them on a more personal level gained them a life long fan in me. I knew they was gonna blow up that day I met them too they just had a special charisma and humbleness that allowed them to just be able to relate their audience!
They're South African. We take nothing seriously.
And we're chill as can be too.

I love how the lyrics to this song can be interpreted in two ways.
"Take it from me" as in "I dare you to try and take this from me,"
and also "Take it from me" as in "Take my word for it."
Both interpretations fit the meaning of the song very well.

Stumbled upon a Kongos, Lunatic album I had from Rocking the Daisies, CTN a few years back. Listened again and I am obsessed. Every song is an earworm and I can't get off it. Kongos please keep on doing what you do so well!

Another signature Kongos tune after a long time, I loved it.
This song shows that the members of KONGOS have a kind of self-awareness that is absent in most celebrities. They see how easy it is to become big-headed and lose sight of what's important. They clearly aren't like most celebrities.
