"Presumably 10-20 worldwide" had me dying
Auspex getting sassy, there. Not even a hint of change in tone.
Dude me too oh my god.
Well... is he wrong, though?
Didn't realize how true this was until I wanted the Veterans of the Long War box recently. Okay I wasn't on the webstore the morning of release like with Leviathan but like, why would not make enough that its at least not sold out on every single web store until lets say 24 hours after you put it up for sale. Like a reasonable window in which someone with a life(hypothetically) would still definitely have the chance the get it no matter how busy they were that day.
From 00:11:13 to 00:11:32 if you want to enjoy the sass.
That Sisters Battleforce isn't even trying.
Sisters eating shit is par for the course, I'm sure not a single sororitas player is surprised.
Seriously not trying at all. It's the exact same as the Space Marines was but at least that one was all new sculpts instead of just one.
The new combat patrol looks exactly like something you would get in a start collecting…
@@megazaku1139 bro don´t insult the start collecting boxes. They were good at least...
GW is just making Start Collecting again. Combat Patrol was supposed to have more models in exchange for a price jump but the boxes are going back to old numbers. For €40+ more
Hey Guard players, if you are waiting on a Codex until the end of the edition, come to our Genestealer Cult - 50% Guard units and all the "drop troop" soldiers you could want. The Hive Cult awaits!
Heresy!
@@WeOnlyEatSoupEnlightenment!
There's my favorite vtuber, spreading the good word!
Well, I'm sold. For the four armed emperor!
Cadia Stands…for the Four-Armed Emperor!!!
Benefictus looks like he can almost understand the subtle humor of Rick and Morty.
The sisters' battleforce is 15 models from the same sprues.
I guess they f up production for some reason and were left with some of them as extra and said lets stick the same of them in the same box will do the trick
Is it just me but the sister of battle also looking ugly as well
Its official. SoB and GSC will officially be unaffordable. Truly a GW moment.
not with a technology from the dark age of technology....a 3d Printer. I mean cmon, you get a decent one today for less than a battleforce (you cant get)
They chose a bad time to do their usual cheeky 25% combo of shrinkflation and actual price inflation. But they've made their business direction clear: cash in on whales. Forget everyone else.
Many such cases.
honestly if you are still giving those k1kes at GW your money, thats on you
Cry some more, would you?
No 40k rules for these GORGEOUS admech units is a CRIME.
Looking at those units as an adeptus mechanicus player makes me sad. Like games workshop had something going with adeptus mechanicus up until the codex y'know? Luckily I am a casual player but it still kinda hurts.
40k admech rules are a crime already this edition
Tell me about it. I’ve been running this army since 7thed…..
….sorry by “running this army” I mean of course “this army has been gathering dust since Fires of Cyraxis was scrapped”
I’m sure they can proxy just fine
@@FunkBastid No they can’t. Tech Thralls sure, but that’s it. The scales are all off. People don’t realize this is a 100% different army. Castellax and Kastelans have some similarities, but the armies are not made to be interchangeable.
Different strategies, different strengths and weaknesses. Different bases/sizes.
1 NEW CHARACTER!? Ain't no way bro that's such a new and creative idea from Games Workshop
It big brain time the new genestealer codex with new opps only characters.
HUGE release idd :P
Every time a GSC player complains about characters, GW drafts up another to release.
that moment when GSC gets more for necromunda and (technically) kill team than 10e
Multiple factions desperately need more units, but they'll just won't get them because pumping out characters costs a fraction of what designing and producing a unit does, and nets a higher dollar per model rate because character mark-up is real.
Is GW trying to make players resent them? The GSC combat patrol will sell more 3D printers then it does combat patrols.
Big Brain right here.
@@phoenix4ever367 Bigger Brain than the new Big Brain GSC character.
the Sisters one too. I'm seriously going all in on proxies
I know multiple players who didnt want to get into GSC because the combat patrol didnt have units they wanted. Focusing on the fast attack options for the starter box will get more players in, even if its less efficient on paper
you'd think so
Horus Heresy is passing 40K for just weird and cool sculpts to me. I have been loving everything they have been getting.
Probably because it likely still has a lot of veterans designers still on the team, likely whoever was still at forgeworld before the merger. That means you still have quite a few sculptors who a passionate about the setting and system compared to with the mainline game designers who have to crap out stuff quickly.
Same thoughts yesterday
That belt buckle on the tech Priest Enginseer is gross lazy.
Don't like how competitive-focused rules changes wreck the game for casual players? Come to 30k, where everything's busted, we haven't had a points update in years, the tournament scene fits on the head of a pin, and half the units don't have official models. In other words, it's a hobbyist's dream.
@@judeblack4360 I will say at least the 30k community does keep some good house rules like one dreadnought per 1k points and giving people the stink eye for taking pride of the legion.
Whew lad, let's go over the reveals real quick:
-Another GSC character
-The most uninspired SoB character in the world
-Two more blink and you'll miss it FOMO boxes (bonus points for the SoB one for being trash)
-As expected, two downgraded CP boxes (RIP, these armies NEEDED the previous ones)
-ANOTHER CODEX WITH 4 DETACHMENTS LMAOOOO and another with 5. Thanks, GW.
-Another 30K AdMech release to cocktease 40K AdMech
-Admittedly decent Necromunda models that may or may not help 40K players
-Imperialis rules (cool, whatever)
Have I missed something?
It's pretty insane how they are pouring way more effort in their niche games rather than their main games.
Also its now official, GW is against giving female looking head to the sisters.
@@Pers0n97 It's every single female character out there. Look at Minka Lesk, or anything from AoS, really.
@@DominatorLegend Yuuuuup, but the sisters somehow always got it the worst.
I honestly don't know how anyone could stand buying and painting thos intentional middle fingers from their sculptors.
@@DominatorLegend go look at the GSC Magus.
@@Pers0n97 i think GW just hates beautiful looking women.
Why 30k Mechanicum looks better than 40k Mechanicum????
Because 30k is a better game than 40k =D
because its a different designer.
It was made by a better designer, but he died.
Because WE 30K Mechanicum Haven't Sold OUR souls TO the Skatarii and are a collective of different High Techno Arcana
Because the Mechanicum doesn't exist in 40k, that's the Adeptus Mechanicus :p
*presumably 10-20 worldwide.
Absolutely savage.
Boy, the poor SoB.
Their CP went from the Top 5 if not 3, to the very bottom. Fighting AdMech for scraps.
And their Battleforce is 15 models that are all the same (Seraphims and Zephyrims are the same sprue), 1 hero that's the same as the 15 units and a tank.
Please people, pray for the girls in black. They did them dirty.
The GSC got it even worse. Though, yes, the Sororitas CP is literally just the Soroitas Boarding Patrol but for $20-30 more with the Repentia swapped with Flagellants
I mean, the sisters battleforce is boring but is useful and cool models at least. I’ll be getting one.
Atleast Admech have fun units in their CP with the dogs and flyers.
@@thefloatingcontinent9897 Yeah, the battleforce is nice if you don't have any seraphim yet. The CP on the other hand...it's literally a Rhino and a mech less than the old one.
Old sister cp was bad new one is worse
The sister patrol is just the boarding patrol that they released a bit back
They swapped the repentia for Arco flags, but otherwise yeah.
At boarding patrol prices it was alright. At combat patrol prices…
If Admech can't use all those snazzy new plastics in 40k either when they release or even next edition, it'll just be another blow to the faction
they are only for heresy , I believe GW already said at start of 10th heresy models bar custodes and knights will not be translating into 40k. shame really
Hey, can I ask you a question? I'm just now getting into the lore, and have decided which army I want to build. Is there any master list of available miniatures by chapter, where I can check if I've got the complete roster? I love warhammer, but the sheer volume of chapters and associated miniatures is a little overwhelming.
@@Deletirium the divergent chapters have their own sub categories in the GW website in shop ... you have Blood Angels . Dark Angels , Ultramarines , Space Wolves , Black Templars , then the generic space marines that all can use as well ... then there is some random HQ solo characters for the odd first born chapter like imperial fists / Iron Hands / Raven Guard ..
Bear in mind some of the chapters like Blood Angels / Space Wolves could well be getting abit of their unique ranges dropped later when their codex releases as GW move away from firstborn units .... some units will get the primaris upgrades though ...
Whats the chapter you are looking to start with
@@Deletirium use wahapedia there you can choose army, chapter and then see available minis
This is basically just trolling Admech players, having to make do with the train wreck that is the current Codex and the rather boring selection of minis available in 10th.
It's official, GW is becoming EA. Before: Get more, pay less! Now: Pay more, get even more less then ever!
or activision. Or 2k.
What do you mean becoming? They're just returning to their money grubbing ways from 10-15 years ago.
"Becoming". GW has always been like this. The only thing that changes is just how much they're trying to screw their customers.
They've always been like this. Always. But don't you dare go inspire them to fill the game with pay to win microtransactions.
@@doobiousd5020 No. GW was expensive yes, but in the 90s they had a Monopoly. the screwing of customers started with Shareholder Corporation GW. and now, after COVID, brexit, war, Inflation they still try to increase that Shareholder margin. thats how corps and capitalism work, the Myth of indefinite growth. Blackrock dont care about youre Hobby. They want Money. If they dont get Money, they sell GW to the next Parasite who milks even Harder until nothing is left
so they announce price increases and include less in the boxes themselves..hey wait a minute
There's a word for that: Shrinkflation.
@@Bluecho4 Shrinkflation is just another word for "the people at the top don't want to take pay cuts and also they still want to make infinite money in a finite system"
@@Bluecho4 And some other words to add to that;
"FOMO", "Captive Audience", "Enshitification"
yup, $$$$$$$$$$$$ all the way...
That sisters battle box is less than 500 points, lmao there are combat patrols with more points in them.
3 x Seraphim Squad + Exorcist + Canoness(without jump pack) = 210+180+50 = 440
And dark angels CP 445 points
R.I.P. Admech. If they don't get those robots then we know G.w. doesn't care for them one bit.
Dude they were never going to get them in 40k, they already can't use the resin version of the models that currently exist. They want go keep the ranges separated and that's fine.
Guard didn’t even get the vehicles from Auxilia. Why would AdMech get the bots?
@@CMTechnica I mean it's funny, after they took the vehicles away from the space marines everyone was fine with that but now solar aux and mechanicum gave cool plastic kits they want them in 40k. I'm fine keeping the games separate, keep the crappy 40k players in that bad edition
Dont complain :D Admech got a long legged sniper unit 😂
@@colinbielat8558 Before the death of the head of 30k and the champion of the Mechanicum, there was going to be a book called Fires of Cyraxus where Tau invade a Forge World and the Admech are forced to open vaults of ancient tech, cheif of which was automata.
After his death (Which led to 30k going to pot, still hasn't recovered), the book was shelved, all we ended up getting that was supposed to feature in that book was the Tau'nar supremacy suit.
To those who just pause and read:
The Penitent Host Detachment also encompasses Penitent Engines/Mortifiers and Repentia. Essentially, it's probably the closest we'll get to Bloody Rose.
Definitely an underwhelming preview for GSC & Adepta Sororitas armies. The Mechanicum releases look interesting, but the lack of cross platform support for 30K & 40K is definitely a problem.
I like how the different settings for Necromunda fit together logically into a narrative campaign, first venturing across the ash wastes, then into the depths of Hive Secundus.
Such a disappointing codex reveal for SoB, they have 6 orders that all have different fighting styles in the lore. How hard is it to write 6 detachments? 4 detachments is so disappointing
Don't even count on what it's on the lore, GW couldn't give less of a shit.
Tau are missing a very obvious tank detachment, and Orks, despite being the best Codex so far, is missing Bad Moonz and Blood Axez themed detachments.
I said that detachments were a crappy replacement for subfactions and got crapped on by all the fanboys, wouldnt surpise me if u djd at the time....unfortunately i was correct. Look at orks. No dakka at all. I play bad moons which is NOT dread mob. If anythinf thats more deffskulls. Again. How hard is it to make a detachment for each clan.....i agree and i am terrified for the drukhari dex...we have alot of VERY EXPENSIVE UNITS I BOUGHT TO USE LEGALLY IN RESIN THAT ARE ESSENTUAL LIKE THE BEASTPACK....ive literally never dreaded a codex befire but after the ork one just fucked me over and removed all my fw stuff like my mecha and mega dreads, grot tanks, grot mega tanks which btw wluld have made the crappy walker detachment a bit mkrw viable. Idk why ppl love the ork dex i guess the broken green tide. I hate the way they focus on 1-3 units and thats it....lame.
Yeah and they sound pretty awful. Going to be hamstrung into the miracle dice one. Ardent shroud still missing.
@@jessedefrancisco1410 I was disappointed with subfactions going as well m8, please don't assume things. I came back to 40k in 10th edition from a long hiatus of over 10 years because I had friends who were playing and I saw Sisters had a really cool range refresh from my old ass all metal army.
That sucks about Orks man, I don't even play Orks and I was pissed when I saw they removed the grot tanks and everything forgeworld aside from the squiggoth and had nothing for a dakka detachment. It feels like they don't give a shit about lore when writing these detachments either.
@@jessedefrancisco1410 Dude, I have 6 armies, all heavily themed, and not ONE of them is remotely fun & playable anymore.
Detachments are fething hot garbage
10th is the very time I've said "screw it!" and just outright given up entirely on an edition. I don't even have the will to build/paint anything right now. We traded out everything that made 40k charming for bland-ass, "competitive" BS.
Thanks to all the Tournament Try-Hards for ruining the game!
This is probably the first time that GW remembered that Tallern exists in like 20 years, shame they can't remember the desert raiders or any other guard regiment exists
The seriously need to add the HH Mechanicum stuff to 40k Admech... so many cool stuff.
yeah they will lurk you to buy some of these expensive cool 30k bots and then they will hit you with the "we move it to the old rules stuff". Like the contemptor dreads.
@@balambgarden1349 oh, for sure. i have wished for Cerastus Knights on plastic for sooo long, and now Im nervous about them... would be dumb removing them from 40k... so i fully expect GW to do so at some point. :(
@@Darkja I don't know why knights in particular can't be dual use, considering their lore. I genuinely don't get the GW marketing strategy.
Whoever said that the next new Sisters unit would be a jump pack canoness... got me really sad
I'm probably not the only one who called it, but yeah, sorry about that
Brood Brothers in the preview said "up to half" can be IG
“Huge”
He was referring to the big brain of character #14 for gene stealer fanbois
A new genestealer cult character? Thank god - just what we needed!
The helberd will have the same stats as the sacresants version. The mace and sword will be classed as power weapons so it's just a visual choice there. The eviscerator will have the same profile as the other cannoness/sister superior versions. I'd go with the eviscerator with the expectation that the melee themed detachment will have an eviscerator relic upgrade (much like the bloody rose one in 9th).
I have doubts that the sword/Mace will have the stats of a power weapon, seeing the Blessed Blade/Palatine Blade are just better power swords.
The halberd and eviscerator look identical to celestian and repentia weapons respectively, so those will probably be the same as they ever were.
If I was going to build one of these, it would just be a power sword/flamer lass for my flamer seraphim units because more flame is more better, and that rose hilted power sword is damn sexy.
@@dudemcfurgusson7179 you might be onto something regarding the power weapons. However, the blessed blade and palatine blade were for fixed monoposed models respectively. This is a multipose kit with options so I'm guessing she's going to have a more generic load out. Fingers crossed you're right though. Double fingers crossed they just remove the monoposed weapons options and you can just take what you want.
@crowboy9818 the blessed blade was not for a fixed monopose, it wasn't an option for the monopose kit from the CP/Release box.
The blessed blade was an option for the multipart release of the canoness with full weapons options, it's a different weapon from the power sword with a unique sculpt.
I would bet this is similar. That there's no "power weapon" option.
Where's the bloody rose style support? That was one of the MAJOR ways people played sisters
Give me sisters of battle on bikes, more tanks etc, More nids and voltann models.
The Votann are hilarious. Not only did they get launched with an incomplete range, they didn't get anything outside of a codex. And this is a new faction that was being introduced. "Fumble the landing" isn't even applicable here. They didn't land at all.
@@BoisegangGaming ? The 10th edition codex for them Is not out yet, they could very well get some models with a box like the Tau
One thing to note about the Sisters CP: it is basically just the old Boarding Patrol (be it with repentia swapped to flagellants). The Boarding Patrol cost was 85 Pounds...
"Been a bit of a theme in 10th edition, releasing characters with Jump Packs"
Cries in no more Zagstruck
I wish, I REALLY wish GW would make 40k rules for their Horus Heresy models. I like the Solar Auxila and my pal, an AdMech player, is hot on the new Mechanicum models. My favourite bit of the showcase was the Necromunda preview. Those Malstrain Genestealers look horrendous in a positive way! and another of my friends play Van Saar, he might be interested in the Tek Hunters. Good show!
GW dont want the filthy players using models in more than 1 game
Fortunately I've already stuffed boxes and boxes of Sisters into my cheek pouches, certain to assemble and paint them eventually. That Canoness is super cool though, need to resist the FOMO in the meantime.
Horus Heresy looking more tempting over 40K every day
Join us, we have points per models and funny templates
Oh cool, the "new" Sororitas model is basically an in house kitbash. Thank you GW for taking so much time to waste my time.
I mean, at least it's something different.
Custodes got fucked entirely, their new character was just one that already existed but with a new sculpt.
And that's not even mentioning their lore buttfucking from the diversity department.
So was admechs stilt sniper.
Tyranids new big model was a fat brained monstrosity and so GSC also needed a fat brained monstrosity.
As a Tyranid player that loves GSC Lore and model astetic design i feel extremly offendead and robbed because all gsc-mains deserved something better that just 1 character
They missed a trick with genestealers, they could have leant into the mining equiptment , or even brought back the old battle limo and it woulf have gone down better. guess we'll just have to get our interesting stuff from necromunda
I seriously hope the Malstrain genestealers get to come to the genestealer cult army as a new unit at some point
Pretty sure I'm putting them in my Tyranid army if I ever want another unit of Genestealers.
I can see them standing in for Ymgarl Genestealers. They basically share the same background - along with the Hive Mind rejecting them.
Sadly I doubt it because GW seems to like to keep games as separate as possible. But we can hope!
Why don't they just add these Mechanicum to 40k too? Literally no downsides and fleshes out the admech line for zero effort.
Because the lines are ment to be separate, not to mention the loss of knowledge from the heresy
Because that would allow people to play two game systems with the same army. GW can't have you saving your own money like that.
@@conradflanagan5003 honestly it's funny how quickly people forgot the whole bait and switch with the HH space marine vehicles and dreadnoughts. Honestly makes me wonder how serious some of these people are.
@@colinbielat8558 GW misleading and lying to their customers for a quick buck? Must be a day ending in Y.

The Sisters Battleforce box has less models in it than the Auric Champions for the Custodes. Boy, it's a bad day to want to start a Sisters army.
The mechanicum release is genuenly amazing, I’m really hoping this box brings in more people to heresy. More plastic factions is exactly what 30k needed
heresy is great I agree, just needs little tweaking here an there with rules and some faction buffing for non marines ,, it must be doing some good numbers for GW to bother keep expanding factions from resin into plastic for it
@@icklemoo even though it does need some tweaking I think it's a superior game system to 40k, which is so ironic that they threw away the old system for the crap thar was 8th, 9th and now 10th.
@@colinbielat8558 I played all editions since the third and my favorite was the 5th. Im mainly an admech player in 40k and have not played 30k for now. But i wish some of the mechanicum models were playable in 40k. Maybe not an entire army but ONE model/squad ,justified as a reliquary used on the battlefield.
@@colinbielat8558 8th edition Index was the best the game has been since 4th edition, including the Horus Heresy.
AP modifiers are a better system for armour penetration than the All or nothing style HH has.
I do like HH vehicle rules though.
@whitewall2253 I disagree, the all or nothing makes sense, a munition either penetrates the armor or it does not. 8th started the issues with giving weapons damage stats and making vehicles into monstrous creatures, an issue the system still hasn't been able to fix. Fundamentally they broke the system with 8th and 9th and failed to fix it in 10th.
The Benefictus is exactly the kind of character I expected because GSC already have at least 3 of every other character type, only Psykers were limited to 2:
Psyker: Patriarch, Magus
Melee: Primus, Biophagus, Abominant, Locus, and Sanctus-Dagger
Ranged: Kelermorph, Sanctus-Sniper, Reductus Saboteur
Support: Nexos, Clamavus, Iconward
And TBF, the Patriarch isn’t a traditional Psyker; it’s a melee Epic Hero that has a couple of Psychic abilities.
The GSC Battleforce box would be amazing for anyone STARTING a GSC army. The new GSC CP box isn’t awful. At least it pairs well with the old CP box - although it’s similar to the old GSC Start Collecting box, which was an extraordinary value in comparison.
The Adepta Sororitas Jump Pack Cannon is great, but new BF box is disappointing, and the new CP box is even worse. My fiancée hates Arco Flagellants - literally everything about them: their grotesque bionic designs, their glass hammer role, and especially the lore. I assembled the three from the CP box but she hasn’t even painted them, and never uses them. TBF she doesn’t really like Repentia either, but she at least painted them and included them in her army when they were great in 9e.
Regardless, the new Adepta Sororitas Combat Patrol box is a huge downgrade that isn’t anywhere as valuable or appealing as the 9e version.
As someone with only one old GSC Combat patrol, would you say it is worth to buy both the Battleforce box and the new CP box to have a complete and varied army? Both seem interesting to me as they have units I don't have or I don't have enough of them
@@alphaspm6106 Yes, the new GSC Battleforce and CP boxes are excellent additions to the 9e GSC Combat Patrol contents and will help complete a 2000-point army.
The only reason I’m passing on the new GSC discount boxes is because they’re redundant for me. If the new discount boxes had been available 2 years ago, it would’ve made putting together my GSC army easier and cheaper (even with the price increases).
"The GSC get five detachments!"
Not enough, send it back.
"The Sisters get four!"
*Not enough. Send it back.*
I really hope we can run the mechanicum stuff in 40k, I love the thallax already, they’re like mecchy terminators
The weird scoop thing is cool too
Unfortunately it seems unlikely. Alan Bligh was writing an Imperial Armour to port his beloved brainchild to 40K when he died, so they've never had 40K rules before.
Even if they get legends stats, not everyone plays with those.
@@odinlindeberg4624 I don't think I've played a game this edition or last where people actually wanted to/let you run the legends rules. People are so hellbent on sticking to the tournament rules and restrictions. One of the biggest reasons I've mostly switched to HH is a lot of the games I've played people are just making fluffy lists for fun, instead of minmaxing every list.
I saw the Mechanicum in the title and got excited but then I realized they were for HH and not modern
Man, as someone who is a fan of jumppacks, that battleforce box has me somewhat intrigued.
So the GSC Battleforce is basically the old Combat Patrol + another Rockgrinder and the Sisters Battleforce is what...400 points at best? Oh boy...what will the Imperial Guard get, 2 Sentinels and 20 Guardsmen? Also, with most factions only getting one new HQ when especially Custodes and GSC could have done with some new units, I'm a bit scared of what Votann and World Eaters will get.
It's 210 points in seraphim or 180 points in zephyrim, 180 points for the exorcist, and whatever the new canoness costs.
It's not even 100 points above the combat patrol, which clocks in at 60 for the sacresancts, 50 for the canoness, 100 for the battle sisters, and 160 points for the arco flags for a total of 370.
The canoness will probably be another 50 point girl alongside the 50 point palatine and 50 point canoness on foot for a grand total of 410-440 points.
The Ork Stompa alone in that battleforce is worth almost double the entire sororitas box set.
Rumour said that Guards wil be a DKK party, just saying🤔
Hey I can always use more sentinels. 2 types with 3 units of 3 is a lot of sentinels.
World eaters Battleforce box will be 50 jackals and a rhino
The GSC boxes come in under 2 points per dollar in the US 💀
We are getting closer and closer to the 1 pt = 1$ mark GW has been pushing for a while now.
As someone who doesnt like playing against sisters: I knew they would screw you over, i just didnt know they would massacre you in the process. Im so sorry for you guys. Thoughts and prayers from a lowley CSM player.
I hope you can have fun playing against us now, at the very least.
Their getting the Custodes Ad Mech treatment. Id guess the power level of the faction is going to be around the Tau
@@conradflanagan5003 Thank you. I find that sisters players are wholesome. Its just the MIracle dice that sometimes feels unfair to use. Not saying its broken, just saying it feels bad when your opponent uses a dice to auto charge or get a damage of 6.
Thallax arent really dreadnoughts. Its the mechanicums anwser to astartes. But not by bioenhancing a body but just by ripping the spine and the head out of a human body and putting it in a robot body
The technothralls would make great servitors which fell out of the Admech codex... Oh, right.
The only thing more terrifying than a nun leader-unit with a gun, is a FLYING nun leader-unit with a flamethrower. REALLY looking forward to her. New Van Saar Tech Hunters are also looking real kitbashable.
Lmao. I love it how they hyped everything up for so little.
the new sororitas CP is cheaper to buy in part, no? im sure thats under £90 from element
Nice Mechanicus drops.
I bought the recently retired GSC combat patrol at $136 on eBay shortly after the Auspex video came out and of course the canceled the order citing inventory issues
Think my favorite things from tne preview were brood brothers detachment and the necromunda stuff. I have yet to buy any actual necromunda box that includes rules, but nearly everything in that box is at least kinda neat.
Must say, having bought two of the original Genestealer combat patrol boxes, the new one does seem like it complements that box quite nicely.
14:50 - DANGIT! I just bought a bunch of Resin Castellax models for a secret project.
I'm definitely picking up that Necromunda box - assuming it's not sold out in about 10 seconds... Van Saar are my gang of choice, and these guys look amazing! Good to see a revamp of the Spyrers too. I wonder if we'll get all of the variants over time!
I want those tyramites, they'll look amazing with my "metroid" themed tyranids and samus aran themed space marines
Castellax Battle Automata? All i see is Meganobz with dual killsaw
I figured this was coming so literally just bought the SoB combat patrol last week, as I plan to start sisters and figured the new box wouldn't be as good. Nice timing lol
I'm surprised they didnt release a new Primaris lieutenant
That GSC battleforce should be a Spearhead box.
Thought Sister Release would be very Expensive for me... but now... Neither the Battleforce nor the new Combat Patrol seem interesting for me... so new Canoness and new Codex... sounds good.
Great video
Genestealers with style!
I don't play GSC, but the Benefictus looks like its it perfect for the range.
As a sister's player, that new Canoness looks fun.
Pretty sure that power sword on the jump Canoness is a blessed blade.
If you're going to bother with a Canoness in the first place it's tough to pass up the option for the blessed blade. As the only model selection in the army that can carry one, it's only true rival is The Ardent Blade carried by Celestine herself. I do hope she has the option to carry an inferno pistol though, even if the model doesn't ship with one that's an easy enough conversion to make and I have extra bits I can use.
The GSC Combat Patrol does look like some stuff I was interested in getting. Just wish I'd gotten the prior one before everywhere ran out.
Still don't understand why Geedubs won't have more than one Combat Patrol per army. Having multiple to choose from would be a much more enticing way to get new players into the hobby, and they wouldn't run into the issue of deciding which subfaction to focus on for each box
Just bought the old one ! Just look around quickly before it sells out
I said this in another comment but it makes so much more sense to create combat patrols themed around different types of units and have them all offered at the same time for each faction.
Currently, it's like "here's a starter box but it's only useful if you have a collection" which doesn't make any sense to me. In general, I don't understand how GW makes money beyond people being stuck in the sunk-cost fallacy. The barrier to entry is just so massive that it feels like they actively shoot themselves in the foot.
What I mean by this is not only do you need to have a codex (which can cost a bunch of money), you need the ability to build models (and paint them, optionally) and if you relied on any faction with free rules, well, those get paywalled for no good reason after the codex releases. I get that miniature wargames are traditionally expensive, but GW shouldn't be going "We made this edition's rules to be more accessible and easy to understand" while also going "we made everything outside of the edition's rules expensive and a hassle".
Did they mention whether Malstrain Genestealers have a chance of being introduced into the GSC roster proper?
Looks like I've found my Obliterators for my CSM army that only uses heresy models!
After the reveals, Heresy certainly seems more appealing
Find a good group to play HH with and you'll have a good time. I made the switch and have honestly had nothing but fun. Lots of folks run fluffy fun lists, and make gentleman's agreements to not spam the really strong things. I've personally run into very few sweaty players that think everything they play is a tournament game.
As a GSC player, I'm most interested in those Malstrain Genestealers. They'd be interesting to mix in with my regular stealers.
As a tyranid owner I want to mix some of those malstrain into my army.
The one question that’s on my mind is whether or not Celestians are back. They weren’t included in the index cards but the battlesisters are still sold like a combo. So it’ll be interesting to see if they get their infantry back.
I like that benefivtus character. Model and rules purpose
The old GSC combat patrol feels like a Battleforce box now. It's good if you already have some units but terrible to start an army with.
Woah I allways want a thanatar, might have to bite if it gets more affordable
At this rate i wont be surprised is World eaters battle force box is 50 jackals and a Rhino
They need to let Mechanicum have the Custodes and Knight treatment and get their HH models in 40k. These are gorgeous models that would be AMAZING in the 40k range.
Was excited to see what Sisters would get, came out of this overall disappointed.
New Canoness: Cool! Nice model, fun options, only upside to today's reveals.
Battleforce: Fewer models than the old Combat Patrol by far, leaning way too much into one aspect, with a cool driving organ thrown in I guess.
Combat Patrol: Looks suspiciously like some new cardboard wrapped around the old Boarding Patrol, don't it?
Just 4 detachments... yay...
7/10. I like the jump-canoness, and the HH tech magos is nice. But, truly, my heart is with the Automata. I have been eyeing the resin kits for a long time, but have never liked the prices. I am disappointed that the combat patrols for both SoB and GSC are being replaced. The battle force for the sisters is meh: I could totally use it, but I'm probably happier to wait for the canoness to be sold separate.
New Sister's CP box is basically the old boarding patrol with arco instead of repentia, and more expensive...
Yeah they really did just give Sisters the Space Marine Christmas box.
"Here's 15 troops with jump packs, a single character with a jump pack, and a vehicle that doesn't even mesh with the rest of the box."
Funny how the mechanicum dominus looks way better than the one on the official mechanicus one. I feel like we did get some stuff but I feel like they still halved arse it a lot. One new sister kit okay but we could use more variety especially like vehicles that look ,ore like cathedrals, new hq models for gene cults, not my faction but glad you guys got something, and some new rules. mechanicum I liked most of all. Necromunuda no one plays so I never got into it but I feel like the price would scare me same with mechanicum. I’m guessing they want 300 at this point. That’s a 3d printer at this point.
Having yet another unique 'hero' datasheet with a corresponding unique model for the GSC shouldn't really be a bad thing from a narrative POV.
After all, each of those unique characters is meant to represent a different Patriarch's plan for the uprising on a different world in a completely different set of circumstances.
The 9th edition's codex for them was one of the most standout in terms of overall balance and thematic approach, so I'm definitely having high hopes for how they will play out in 10th.
do you think the mechanicum units will be 40k friendly rule wise ?
No. They want to keep the lines distinct.
Man I hope they buff the Magus in the GSC codex...
Need to sell my Admech stuff. Horus Heresy gets all the cool stuff while we just get stilt boy and awful rules
This is going to sound like absolute heresy but the Sisters battleforce is almost exactly what I want. I have Celestine but no jump infantry, and I want a second Exorcist.
If the sisters battle force us decently priced I might pick it up. Already for 10 seraphim and 5 zepherym so I could use them with the new canoness. And I don't have the tank yet.
But that patrol is pretty yikes... And 4 detachments is underwhelming as hell. Should've had at least detachments for:
-Melee
-Ranged
-holy Trinity
-Armor focus
-Flyer focus
-Administratum focus
Usually not terribly impressed with Necromunda, but this time Necromunda seems to take the cake!
They're using the 8th edition sisters codex art! Thank God! SO much better than the 9th edition.
I was legit thinking the EXACT same thing. (The off-white background is trash though)
