I kind of fell off watching them around 2015-2016. No malice or anything, my life was just moving away from them. This news hurt, like losing people I grew up with.

mine was more recent but Ray, Bruce, and lawrence were right. Big corpo slowly killed rooster teeth. From the moment they sold out to at&t to now with warner bros, you could see how the views dipped, while around that same time bruce left to start inside gaming with lawrence, and they both said that after rooster teeth sold out, the big talking heads stopped alot of their creativity and made them toe the line to a toxic level.
@@xzazirx Same here. I was more of an AH fan specifically, and I actually reflect on 2015-2016 as golden years for AH, just like 2012-2013. Ray may have left, but Jeremy slot right in to the main group so well and so many legendary videos came out of that timeline (the Jeremy Shenanigans episodes are prime example). But over time, there wasn't really a main group anymore, and I felt like I lost that connection with the people I originally subscribed to watching. After the Ryan incident, I cut the final ties and just lost interest. Everything was just so different, the vibes in the videos weren't the same anymore. The corporate side of things was definitely an issue, but there were also so many contributing factors.
For me it was the fact that the old crew left and they were replaced with new people that no one knew or cared about. It was like being forced to fall in love with the company all over again and I wasn't having it.
Same o watched from 2010 to about 2015 but always checked up on them, I never stopped liking them but life just happened and I moved on it sucks seeing them close up rt was such a big part of my life through high school ill miss them

I lost it when Geoff showed up. (Tearing up again as I type this) this company is his baby, and you can tell it really is like losing a child. Thank you to the founders of RT, all the employees, and guests for making us laugh and peeling back the curtain of what honestly looked like the most fun company to work for. I hope the current iteration of Let’s Play and F**kface and ANMA and the rest of the amazing podcasts can continue (Ray, you ever wanted to be a media mogul? Here’s your shot), because I can’t imagine my life without hearing Geoff’s voice every week. He’s a fuckin inspiration, in so many ways.

Kerry was the first RT person I met as a guardian at RTX and it’s what set the tone for the entire trip. I’ve never met a nicer, more genuine person in my life.
Met him and Jack in 2015, still the most genuine people who happen to be exceptional creators who could easily have an ego but treated everyone like a friend... lovely people who carried the company over the years.
Geoff, Jack and Kerry Broke me. I've never met them, but through their content feel like I know them. Watching them hurt, makes me hurt. If that makes sense..
It hurts so much watching Geoff and Jack. This was their baby.

A lot of people still don't get how digital media works and are going to be so angry at the honesty shown in this stream regarding patronage. A lot of people are just blatantly stupid and they get annoyed at ads, they get annoyed at first, they get annoyed at brand deals, and so on. They somehow still don't realise the business realities that exist and what is needed for the people who entertain us to be able to entertain us for a living.
Yeah, Jordan Levin said it well. Basically, if you like something, support it with money, so the people can keep making the thing.

you can say what you want about digital media but in the end, big corpo ruined it. It's the reason why ray left, why jeremy clocked out, why lawrence split, and why bruce dipped out. Everyone but jeremy basically said that big corpo ruined it. It stopped them from going forward with their own creative ideas, and it kept pushing to a toxic level for everyone to follow the commands big talking heads, and i don't mean matt or geoff. Bruce and lawrence said so in their own insider gaming stream. It was the talking heads above them. I hope no other content creators deal with corpo's, because everything they touch dies.

I have been watching Roosterteeth since RvB season 6 was new. I stopped watching around 2018, but I'll never forget the years I spent watching them and Achievement Hunter

The fact that they were underwritten for 10 years and stayed around for that long is crazy. That means they weren't financially viable on their own for over 10 years. Wow.
They would’ve 100% had to shutdown a long time ago had no one bought them out. Fortunately (or unfortunately to some people) Warner bros bought them out and kept them afloat for some time longer but I think WB now realizes they can’t keep pouring money into a company that isn’t making money back.

@@greatdogdemon66 This 100% has nothing to do with that game, this is most likely down to the industry-wide downsizing happening pretty much everywhere due to the majority of western economies shrinking noticeably over the last year. We're in a recession. Shame RT had to be one of it's first big-name casualties
Fails of the Week use to make me laugh harder than I'd ever laughed at anything as a kid, and I've loved rvb and rwby from the very start. I'll grieve for RT and remember them fondly

Been a part of the community since 2011, I’m 29 now and still watch old videos of AH and occasional old RT podcasts. Shame it’s gone, but it’s also a shame it fizzled out how it did.

Larry was hard to watch. Its exactly how i get when i cry. So to see him struggle with every word just reminded me of me. I love this crew and all these people. Such a monumental part of my life, ill miss knowing theyre still .aking content. Love you all!!

I've always loved Geoff. Seeing how emotional he is, his voice breaking, and how he is actually shaking, is just making me cry. Hearing and seeing Geoff and Kerry. I cried. Seeing him and Jack in that hug. Just brought tears. Not only did they create Achievement Hunter together. But they created their friendship. And just seeing the emotions. Tearjerker.
They don't know me, but I feel like I've been friends with these guys for so many years. I know the RT people are talented and will find new and amazing things to do. I will always be greatful for the years of laughter...
Seeing an old guard of early internet entertainment being shut down is so heart breaking. RT wasn’t just a company but a whole movement. Sure, they had their fair share of controversies, like any company, but they also entertained and brought community to tens of millions of people across generations. And now this chapter is over. Rest in Power RoosterTeeth.
Rooster Teeth is my biggest hero. You were there for me when I was growing up. You were there for me during my ups and downs. Thank you for 21 years of joy.
This channel got me through an abusive family when I was in my teens. This breaks my heart, even though I kind of expected it.

I kind of grew up with Rooster Teeth, all the way back when they first did Red vs Blue. The times me and my friends would laugh about those episodes all the way up to when RWBY first aired, I enjoyed the Achievement Hunter and many other show they had. When I found out about this news, I told a work colleague which I found out at that moment that they was also a fan of RT. We then spent a long time reminiscing all the show we loved to watch. But that shows how big RT was for so many people, that just by saying the name brought smiles to so many who was a fan. Thank you Rooster Teeth for giving me great memories, and for help me though some tough times.
Anytime someone on screen cried, I cried. Even tho my content consumption has changed over the years, I never thought RT would just be gone. They were so much of my life for so long. I'm gonna miss them so much.
I stopped watching RT in about 2015-16. I went to RTX2013 with my sister when I was 14 years old, after being a devout fan for YEARS. I will never forget sitting in a PACKED convention hall watching the premiere of RWBY episode 1. I will never forget the OG Achievement Hunter days when it was just Geoff and Jack ripping some AHWU. I will NEVER forget the Drunk Tank Podcast (Only real ones know) I am 25 years old now and hearing Geoff, Chris, Barbara, Jack, and especially Kerry speak made me surprisingly emotional considering how long it has been since I watched any RT content. But this made me remember how important these people were to me, and I am very thankful for them. RoosterTeeth was truly my original inspiration, and without them i don't know if I would be who I am now.
While watching this, I noticed how quickly Jordan got up from his seat when Geoff came onto camera. I was wondering the entire time how Geoff was doing with the situation because he is the reason I became such a big fan of RT. So the moment Geoff showed up and hugged Jack, I was starting to cry. It has been an honor to watch Geoff and the company for nearly 15 years and I will continue on with a hole in my heart knowing this is the end of an era
I wish I saw this when it was live but happy I got to see these great folks talk, reminisce, and fight to continue with what they love to do!
Love you Rooster Teeth, you have gotten me through ups and downs in the past, re-watching videos for the 1000th time will continue to happen, RvB being my most loved series's ever. Thank you for the 21yrs of laughter and utterly incredible memories

It’s heartbreaking that this is happening, I’ve grown up watching Rooster Teeth and I still watch today, my childhood memories of rt are amazing, and I hope things get brighter for them all soon
I remember watching Rooster Teeth from my early teens all the way up to my mid twenties. I literally grew up watching these guys when I was still figuring out who I was. Michael, Jack, Geoff, Ray (back in the day), Gavin and then Trevor, Jeremy and Matt later on. Watching the Achievement Hunter gang or Let's Roll specifically always gave me a smile to my day. I hadn't been watching Rooster Teeth content as much in recent years but it still hurts to see them go.
XRT (Ex-RT) from trevor killed me. i love these guys, huge part of my entertainment since middle school. Cant wait to see everyone's new projects or continued projects if things allow. much love to tall the roosterteeth community and the staff
I was born a month before Rooster Teeth began. I remember when I was still only 9 or so, my siblings really liked Halo, and my cousin told me about this show online where people made skits with the game. He refused to tell me the name but I managed to find it, and I still remember vividly watching the first episode, the old windows xp desktop hooked up to this disgustingly loud bass speaker, when Sheila fired, the apartment shook, and when they screamed son of a bitch, I shook knowing my grandma was about to take off her sandals.
I never stopped being a rooster teeth fan, even if I wasn't watching some of the things they put out they were always my heros as a kid. A group of friends that managed to build something so much bigger than themselves was just amazing to me, I still hope some day I'll find a path to do what calls me like they did.
If anyone at all from Rooster Teeth happens to read this, thanks for giving a weird lonely kid something to look up to.
I was 9 years old back in 2007 and I found myself watching AH's guide/walk through of Left 4 Dead 2. There are so many memories that I will continuously associate with these people. I'm 25 now and seeing this makes me feel like an old friend of mine had said his or her goodbye.
Honestly this might sound very weird and/or stupid, but for a very long part of my life, maybe even up until now, I had one of those dreams that you know youll never reach but you want it so bad.
I wanted nothing more than to leave germany, move to the US and basically do what most of the Rooster Teeth/ Funhaus/ Inside Gaming/etc. guys do. Just working by having fun with friends.
This somehow broke that dream. It's fucking weird mourning a future I never had.
Nontheless, thank you so, so very much to everyone at roosterteeth, past and present, for doing everything you did. Without people like you, CZcams wouldn't exist in the state it does today.
I was going to make a separate video on this, but I was wanting for the past 5+ years to go and work for Rooster Teeth as a video editor for Achievement Hunter, I eventually started this channel in May 2022 as an example of my editing skills of Rooster Teeth content, meaning if I could prove I have good-enough editing skills maybe they'll hire me in the future. This is more heartbreaking than expected for me because of that, plus this is my birthday month so the end of Rooster Teeth news came at the exact worst time for me for my mental health.

I've been a regulation listener for so long, but today I become a comment leaver. I've been watching, listening, following this company for nearly 15 years now, and when I read the news it absolutely broke my heart. Now watching this stream, my heart broke again. I am 28 years old, but i'm crying like a baby.
Thank you to everyone in the Roosterteeth family, past and present for the hours upon hours of entertainment, the laughs, and the tears. They will forever be a part of my life, as well as everyone in the community. I love you guys just the same.

I tried to stay strong while watching this but when Geoff hugged Jack and broke down and Kerry calling him his hero,I lost it. I have been a fan since 2011 when my friend showed me RVB and It has been a source of comfort during some hard times in my life. I wish them all the best and hopefully we can move foreward.

Being part of the Rooster Teeth Community means stepping up and doing right by your fellow community members. It truly didn't matter if the tears were going down on my face so fast that I couldn't see, I needed to archive this as it was happening, you'd do it for me, someone would do it for us, I'm just returning the favor these past 10+ years of being a fan has been for me. While it's incredibly sad that this is happening at all, but 1 week before my 29th birthday sucks because every waking moment I'm thinking of all of these people I consider friends, just lost their jobs. My birthday wish is that this is some elaborate nightmare dream and they aren't going away, but it's not. It's like losing tons of best friends on a scale so large that millions of fans are having this collective mourning. Best of luck to them, man.
I Remember the Good old days of 2013. 15, Finished a day of school and coming home to chill on my bed messaging on forums and watching the new GTA lets play. good times, good times.
And as I grew older, 2017- Cyciling to work listening to the weekly updates, podcasts and other stuff up and coming.
Its a shame it went from friends playing games to Corperate churned Entertainment
I hope Achievement Hunter and Funhaus can come back and have one last video all together.
Im so damn grateful that I found them when I did, from the beginning of the Minecraft series, back to the first Go!, back to when Gavin got his finger stuck in the desk. Man I have loved the achievement hunter crew through the years. Having watched them grow, marry and have kids is amazing. I will not be able to thank them enough for daily entertainment after school and when I need a laugh.

Having been through several startups - some successful, some not - this really hits home. It is rarely about the products, it is about the people. Sadly it is very easy to overlook that.

I watched all episodes of RWBY and I believe it was the greatest anime for visual effects. I'm glad I was alive to see it.
I started watching as a sophomore in highschool on a pentium III and a CRT. I'm now 34 and this news is like losing a close family member.
I hope and pray they can find new fulfilling work, these people have become my "friends" over the last 18 years.
I also wanna throw out there that I'd pay whatever it takes to keep these legends in my life. If they decide to go do their own things, or find a way to regroup, i will always subscribe, watch, and support anything they do.
Such a journey from being the weird kid at school with the laptop and headphones in the corner laughing way too hard, to being the middle-aged dad trying my best not to cry in my kid's school parking lot.

Ive been on and off with Rooster Teeth after Rays departure and its even though I dont consume their content as frequently as I used to it was still a part of my late childhood, teenhood and early post secondary life so I do feel for all these amazing and talented people, despite all the contraversies and scandals that surrounded the company throughout the years I still hold fond memories (some tainted unfortunately) of this magical place on the internet that gave me a safe place to come to after school or work and other things to just enjoy my time. Thank you for all your talent and content and I hope to see them all in future projects and more!

I've been watching this since since 2002, when my best friend handed me a flash drive with a few episodes of RVB that I promptly loaded onto my 1st gen PSP.
This is the marking the beginning of a new era, and it's sending absolute waves through my community.
I can't wait to see what this storm delivers.

We all collectively feel that a part of us is gone too. I had very little friends being a commuter student in college, so eating in the cafeteria listening on my headphones to the OG Rooster Teeth Podcast Crew: Gus, Gavin, Barbara, Burnie (& Gus) made me feel significantly less alone, and made me feel like I was socializing more than I actually was in college.

I started watching Rooster teeth when I was 12 years old in 2014 and I’m 22 now and I grew to love a lot of the folks there and for me to here this ending is just really sad and I don’t think I can get that much laughter and excitement moments if it wasn’t for RT.
I found Achievement Hunter 11 years ago, and fell in love with that group and started to fall in love with much more. I am so sorry for this, and I hope the best for all of you in the whatever the future holds for you. Keep strong and heads up the future is always bright! Thank you for all the laughs! I also found Achievement Hunter 11 years ago too (September 15th, 2013), my introduction to them was their 3D Ultra Mini-Golf video, and the rest is history!

Stopped watching them a long time ago. More than 10 years in fact. Not because i didnt enjoy them anymore , but simply because i had a lot of stuff going on in my life back then. I loved watching the guys play Minecraft: Geoff, Jack, Michael, Gavin...the Tower Of Pimps...all the crazy challenges the guys made...it was really fun to watch. So its really sad to learn that they had to stop...Also on the same day that i learn Akira Toriyama passed away...I hope the guys can continue following their dreams and goals after this. Thank you for the fun videos
I’m the same age as Babs. I’ve been watching and apart of this as long as she has. Watching her fall apart and saying that it not being there anymore is scary sent me to tears.
Used to watch rvb on my iPad nano and unintentionally fell into a bftv rabbit hole when I caught Covid this year, really hope everyone can migrate to other companies and keep up the momentum that they had

These people were a huge part of my childhood and in a way inspired me to make my own content!
I've been in and out of the game for a while, and this year was the first year I wasn't a first member in 10 years. I am so heartbroken I can't describe the feeling of loss. I hope to see you all again in new media and content. I love you all, and Geoff gets me every time. I'll miss Rooster Teeth and I miss Acvhivemnt Hunter. It's a sad day for the internet.

I discovered RT back in highschool, early 2010’s.
AH was my favorite thing ever back then. Can’t say I’m surprised RT is ending, but that doesn’t make it sting less.
This is who I grew up with, I started watching in 2011, I was 11 years old, and it's so hard to see this be how it ends 🥺 It genuinely feels like the end of my childhood, and I cant even begin to imagine how they're all feeling 🩷
"This is not a Tragedy, it's not an accident." The 1st thing that was heard in this stream. I'm not too hurt by this as a lot of their reputation and legacy are damaged by constant controversies, toxic work behavior and a pretty shitty community.
The only thing that made care for Rooster Teeth were Death Battle. A Screwattack original show that got bought by Rooster Teeth. With them shutting down, I'm worried with some of the old Screwattack crew. Hopefully they can bounce back (Death Battle and the rest of the old SA Crew) not the rest of Rooster Teeth. Their reputation hurted their Legacy.

Damn. Like so many others I started watching these guys when I was just a kid. It is crazy how time flies… the tears were definitely flowing during this one. It’s like the last part of my childhood finally died.

When my dad died I was in a bad way I ditched school and just smoked weed all day I had a laptop and I had downloaded Minecraft to play mods on it I would watch the sky factory series and play Minecraft all day and night staying up real late sleeping and having dreams about rooster teeth cast and be being in the Minecraft series or something I don't really remember but I would watch so much of the achievement hunter crew and before my dad passed away I remember ditching school in middle school and hiding behind some bushes by my house waiting for my brother to leave for I can come back I would be watching the animated adventures and it really meant alot to me growing up recently all this bad shit has been going on I keep up with the bullshit but I never stopped watching them even tho some shows wasn't what I wanted to watch I would just rewatch the shit I liked I didn't mind rewatching stuff kinda gave me nostalgia
I started watching RvB when season 4 came out, and immediately looked up season 1 and followed it all the way through when i was in the Army
I watched Rage Quit and laughed my ass off almost every time Michael lost his shit during my time in a rough marriage.
Watched Skydactory and minecraft series all while i was truck driving for years.
Been watching and listening to this group of people for so long that it feels so weird to know they wont be around anymore.
Love these guys and hope nothing but the best for them.

i wish yall would be able to hold out until april first could you imagine ending on the day you started rt turns 21 rvb and rwby will always have a special place in my heart i was a young teen when i found yall and will never forget the making of achievement hunter even though my life was having a rough go i still had yall to keep me together sure bad things happened through the years but so much more good has happened because of yall all those charity streams all the memes the laughs we shared along the way the first podcast that got me into watching podcasts, rt podcast, literally hunting for achievements thanks to AH, even the crazy gameshows that were had i lived from 13 to 34 enjoying yall growing up with yall you literally saved my life when the darkest side of my brain was winning you brought me back from the brink i love yall i will never forget
Wow this stings. It's sad that they couldn't find a way out of the slope they were in, I've watched them since probably 2010 but sadly fell off as I lost free time. Lots of tears here still.
It is hilarious that Geoff mentioned Kerry's friends back in the day. I remember some Drunk Tank episode where Brandon talked about how he didn't like his friends either. Such a random funny callback.
I started as a fan of AH, then I discovered RvB, and then RWBY came out and my love immediately took off for this company. I am going to miss this all terribly. I feel like I'm about to lose such a huge part of my life. I will keep my ear to the ground for you all, please don't give up. 💜💜
